I installed CS6 Student & Teacher Master Collection on my new purchase desktop. Program failed to start. Error message no 6, contact adobe technical help. Please assist.

I am not really sure which files are you copying from windows 7 to windows 8.1.
Default procedure is - choose Master Collection CS6 from the below mentioned download link on your windows 8.1 machine and try to install it.

Question about Installing CS6 Student Edition

I purchased student version of Adobe CS6 about a year ago, unfortunately about the same time as I made this purchase my laptop died. I recently graduated from college, but I was wondering if there is a window of time that I need to install the suite before I become ineligible as a student/or if I will be unable to install and register. I currently have a work computer, but don't want to install the program until I get my own computer. Furthermore, how many devices can I install the student edition on? If I need to install it before my student status expires, I'd like to install it on my work computer, then hopefully get my own personal device ASAP and install it on that as well if possible. If you are still a student then you can install and use the software.
As far as installing it on a work computer goes, that is usually up to the company you work for. Most companies control what is and is not allowed to be installed on a computer they own.

Uninstalling/Re-installing CS6 Student Edition

I own a copy of the CS6 Standard Edition for students and teachers. I found out at my school that my current laptop, which has the CS6 installed on it, is not equipped with the proper graphics card to efficiently run the programs I will be using regularly in my major.
I am currently looking into purchasing a new laptop and to re-install my CS6 onto the new laptop. I have a few questions, however.
1. Do I need to un-install CS6 on my current laptop first before re-installing on the new one?
2. If I re-install CS6, do I need a new serial number sent to me by Adobe? I am unsure if an activation requires a unique serial number.
3. Will I run into any installation issues if I give the same student information while installing? I have concerns that I might receive an error along the lines of "That student information has already been used."
4. Do I need to notify Adobe prior to re-installing the software?
I have read that before un-installing that I need to de-activate the program from my laptop, but I was wondering if there were any other steps I need to complete before moving forward. I just want to be sure I have all my ducks in order, and that I am correctly maintaining my copy's integrity.

If you don't need the CS6 software on your laptop with incompatible graphic card, then sure you can uninstall the software.
But make sure you de-activate it before uninstalling to maintain activation count.
If you want to keep it then also it is OK as you get 2 activation with every software which allow to have the application installed on 2 computer but not to be used at same time,

No need for new serial number, as stated every serial number has 2 activation so you can install on 2 computer but cannot use adobe application on both computer at the same time.

It seems like that you are having some issues with the permission on the system . I would request you to please navigate to /Lib and~/Lib and give full permission to these folders and then try installing the product again .
Steps to give permission :
Go >Go To Folder > /LIb > Get Info > Navigate to the bottom of the pop up window and click on the setting tab and give Read & Write permission.
Once you are done with the above mentioned steps , please let us know if that worked for us or not .

Trying to install the Student Version of CS6 on a second computer

So I've just received a new PC for Christmas and want to install the student version of CS6 on it. I already have this program installed on an older laptop, but I believe that as a student I am entitled to at least two installations of CS6 on different computers. Nonetheless when I run the installer on my new PC, I get the message that my program is counterfeit. What's up with that?

Installing CS6 Master Collection Student and Teacher Licensing

I am installing CS6 Master Collection Student and Teacher Licensing; I am in the middle of the process when I get a dialogue box asking for a second serial number for the Acrobat X Pro, I tried to add the initial serial number in order to start the install and it says it is not a valid serial for this product, what can I do?
This is suppose to be included in the suite right? why is it asking me for a second SN?

Contact support directly by phone or web chat. Nobody here can straighten out serial number issues. If you have older versions of Acrobat installed, uninstalling them or running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and Acrobat Cleaner Tool may resolve any potential conflicts.

Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 - Student - no Acrobat Pro installed

I purchased and installed Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 - Student Version. The box and the Adobe site list Acrobat Pro included. But in reviewing the Creative Cloud, it lists Acrobat Pro as a Trial. I do have Acrobat Standard already installed. Is the Pro version included with this software Suite and if so, how do I install it? Is the Standard version preventing the install?

DaveKStL which version of Windows are you using? I would recommend removing your installation of Adobe Acrobat Standard using the Programs and Features Control Panel. Once removed you can then can install Adobe Acrobat Professional which is included with your Creative Cloud Membership. I am assuming you are trying to obtain Creative Suite 6 Design Standard? If so you can trigger the download from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=design_standard. After you log into the Adobe Download Assistant it should begin your download automatically. If it does not try again but utilize a different web browser.
Alternately you can initiate a direct download by following the directions listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Issue installing CS6 on windows 8

I recently bought a new HP laptop with windows 8 and am trying to move CS6 student edition over to the new computer. I deactivated the program on the old computer and have downloaded CS6 on the new one. When I try to finish the set-up, I get the message "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file." I then used Support Advisor and got the message "cpsid_82829s5: Missing installation file, bootstrapper error has occured." I then downloaded Application Manager 7.0 and got the message "Installer failed to initialize" and got the same bootstrapper message. I am beyond frustrated. Any suggestions??

Try the steps mentioned below:
1) Please run the Application manager as an administrator and see if that resolves the issue, if you still faces the problem then enable the hidden admin. Check it here http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/
2) Try to remove Adobe application manager via Adobe cleaner tool http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and redownload in hidden admin.
3) Try to launch Adobe application manager and then start the setup. If that also doesn't resolve then the next step would be to review the PDApp.log if your installer is failing to initialize. Error when installing cs6

When im installing cs6 on my laptop, im getting a error that says u need to reboot your laptop to continue the installation.
So i did that end the installtion of cs6 freezes.
I tryed this 6 times already on the same laptop, It runs windows 8 and it is this laptop

So i dont know what im doing wrong.

How do I find my "Product Code" for Photoshop Extended CS6 Student Edition?

My daughter bought the Photoshop Extended CS6 student edition, retrieved the serial number, downloaded and installed the software. Now it is asking us to register and wants a 19 digit "product code" before continuing with the resistration. The retailer claims it is the serial number but the registration utility will not accept that. The Adobe account is showing no registered products. Can this be fixed?
