Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

HT204053 I'm in the Itunes store but when I try to redeem a free song, it tells me to sign in again, then a message "review my account"

When in the ITunes Store to redeem a free song; I am prompted to sign in to redeem code. I proceed in to sign in and a reply message; my apple id has not yet been used with the ITunes store. Please review your account information, as I click to review, it sends me back to the Itunes store.

You can create a iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (must be a valid email address)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps

I have changed my Apple ID when I got a new email address and confirmed it. However when I go to my iPad to buy an app my old Apple ID comes up and will not recognize the password. Hi, I had this problem when I first went to use iTunes with iCloud. using Windows 8 OS. Everytime I tried to download from iCloud error 5105 came up... not sure this will work for everyone, but pretty simple, I closed iTunes and restarted it and everything worked fine

I've bought numbers & pages from the App Store but when I open either I'm being asked to use the iWork trial or buy it - Do I have to buy iWork too, and if so, why does the App Store leet you buy the apps separately if you need iWork in order to use them?

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes .Just add the songs to the iTunes library you use for the iPod touch and sync them.

I'm having this same problem and can't find a solution that works in the apple support community. What's frustrating is that this used to work seamlessly with Windows. Then I bought a macbook pro and upgraded to OS X Mavericks and a lot of stuff broke.

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

You could check to see if there are any other stores that you can buy the song from. How about the artist's website? I've bought a couple of MP3s and even CDs from Australian artist's websites.
