you are right about the IOS number. I couldn't access my iPad so I guessed and guessed wrong about the number. It was the latest upgrade offered by Apple for my iPad, which I dowloaded and installed. I have done some sleuthing and discovered that some of the problems are the result of the Accessibility - Voiceover being activated. Once I figured that out, I was able to navigate somewhat better, though I now cannot turn Voiceover off. I slide the button and it just revert to On. The other problem I have now discovered that the iPad only rarely will accept my password. This is a password that I know and love and use many times during the day (as all of us iPhone and iPad users do) Now it seems to reject my password 80+% of the time. I would disable password protection if I could. I think I am going to have to talk to Apple directly but wonder if anyone else has had this kind of trouble with the newest IOS. It worked fine on my iPhone.
I will try triple tapping the home button if I can ever get it opened again.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Hi. I think I somewhat have an ultimate but long solution to itunes restore errors like 3194, 4014, 11, "iTunes has stopped working" error etc on windows especially when jailbroken. Things you need are Regcure pro(a registry cleaner) or any other you can get, latest iTunes setup (the very latest at the time you want to follow this method), latest iOS (idownload blog download site recommended) for the device you're receiving error restoring (the very latest version as well), iReb, then follow the steps below:
Step 1; Uninstall iTunes and all apple's installed (e.g. Bonjour, apple mobile support)
   Go to control panel; uninstall all the softwares that say apple.
Step 2; Delete all apple folders from disk C.
    Go to my computer > disk C > click on "organize" (on windows 8, click "view" and click on "options") > folder and search options (this opens the "folder options") > click on "view" panel > under "hidden files and folders", select "show hidden files and folders", "apply" and "ok" > now go into all the folders and delete anything that says apple, then empty your recycle bin.
Step 3; Go to search and type "regedit".
        Open "regedit" > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > "software" and delete any folder that says apple.
Step 4; Use a registry cleaner app (e.g Regcure pro).
            Use the application to scan and clean registry on your computer
Step 5; Restart your computer
Step 6; Now search and   open "disk defragmenter" or use the one in the Regcure pro app , defragment disk C and restart your computer one more time.
Step 7; Now install iTunes and wait for it to finish installing.
Step 8; put your device in dfu mode using iReb.
Step 9; Open up iTunes ; it will detect your device in dfu and says" device must be restored" (make sure you're connected to a working internet before this step). Press "shift" on your keyboard and click "restore" then select the latest iOS you downloaded. iTunes should restore your device without any error if you follow the exact instructions above.

Yes, just made sure of that. I do have the latest version of Flash player. But I have just staggered upon the answer. Chalk it up to being a newbi. I was not putting my apple tv to sleep and it would not allow me to see
you tube on my computer while it was still operating on my TV. When I realized that, I put the apple tv to sleep and bingo, my computer runs you tube fine. Thanks again for your response.

First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers.

Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

Try a Restart.

You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
