I just got a new iphone 3GS and was trying to sync it with my itunes information from my old phone. However, I keep getting multiple error messages and after the sync is complete, I find that everything has transferred except my purchased itunes music and voice memos (I record my class lectures). Contact Apple support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/. If your phone is new you should still be within the free support window. You will need your serial number to set up the call, which you will find on your phone in Settings>General>About.

iTunes did exactly what you told it to do, restore the iPhone with the backup from your iPod. What did you want/expect?
Unless the iPhone had been backed up previously, all content that was on it is gone. -
Upgrade new phone process. 4s to 5s
Connect the 4S to iTunes. Backup the device.
Connect the 5S to iTunes, then do a Restore. Restore to the 4S backup when prompted. -
I just got my new iphone and I gave my phone the same apple ID as my iPod. Then I added $40 to my iTunes thinking that I could buy songs freely. When I went to go buy an album it said that I needed to answer some security questions to complete the purchase. So I clicked yes and it brought me to two questions that I totally forgot the answers to so I hit the link that said if you forgot your answers click here. I clicked it and it brought me to this website that you see all your information about your apple ID. So I went to privacy and security and the same two questions were there. I tried and didn't succeed. I even sent myself the email and I have been trying this for days on end and still never received any emails about those questions. So I thought what if I create a new apple ID then mabe I could transfer ONLY the money over, is this possible?? Because I would hate to see forty dollars go to total waste.
Funds cannot be transferred from one Apple ID account to another.

Delete the account on your phone. This will not delete any data on her phone or iPad, or data stored in iCloud.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You could simply ensure that only the numbers and addresses you wish to use on each device are checked at Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. However this isn’t an ideal solution because the other person can always change these settings from their device and have some fun with you and your contacts.
You’d be far better getting them to delete your account from their device and have them create one of their own. If you are sharing an ID for some other service such as iTunes, you can continue to do so, you only need change the ID for messages. -

I believe when you plug her old iPhone in to your computer it will notify you that the phone is synced with another library and ask if you want to register it with your library. At least this is how iPods work. I'm not sure about iPhones. If you want to actually use the phone as your own you may need to go through AT&T.
If you're just looking to use the iPhone as an iPod (without the phone portion of it) you may run in to some problems. The iPhone really wants to be on a cell network all the time. I think you'd have to jailbreak it to get it to work properly as an iPod.

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
