I just got an Iphone 4s
My husband and I got new phones yesterday, we have had itunes for many years now to support the ipods we have had. My husband was able to plug his phone in and it popped right up in itunes, but when I do it, the phone charges but doesn't show up in itunes. We do have different accounts but we share a computer. What can I do?

I just got the iPhone 5. When I connect it to itunes it says I need itunes 10.7. I downloaded that but it won't update because I need iOS 10.6.8. I downloaded iOS 10.6.8 but it says it won't download it becuase I need iOS 10.6. However, when I do software update it says all my systems are up to date and that 10.6 on itunes is the current version and iOS 10.5 is the current version. Please help.

I just got an Iphone and I am trying to get my Itunes music as my ringtone. I already got an app and made a ringtone. I even got the tones tab to appear in my Itunes library. I cannot however get a tones tab to appear on my Iphone sync area. Also I cannot get any of my ringtones into the tones folder. They are no longer than 30 seconds so that is not the problem. Any ideas?
Does this app not provide a video on how to sync it with itunes and then sync it to your phone.
If you have transfer the ringtone to your computer, play the ringtone - then it should move to your tones folder in itunes. Just make sure when you play the ringtone it's plays in itunes. -
I just got my iPhone 4 yesterday after having a Blackberry for 3 years. Everytime I try to download any type of application it keeps displaying "Your Apple ID has been disabled." Before activating my iPhone I downloaded the most recent iTunes. I even went back today I reset my password after some minor research made the suggestion. I sent an e-mail off to to Apple last night after their Apple tech was no help at all. He is the one that suggested the e-mail and that he could not help me. I am really frustrated at this point. I am hoping that someone will be able to help me out. I was extremely excited about getting my new iPhone 4 and now I am just over it! Help please!!!

i just got the iphone 4 and my husband already had on. we share an itunes account and i signed up for i cloud and now ALL of my husbands contacts are on my phone ... so I started to delete them (because i thought it would just be off my phone) and he called screaming ..." please stop deleting ... they are coming off my phone!" so two things ... how can i get the contacts back ( i got up to j) AND is there a way to get them off just my phone
Unfortunately there's no way to get back the contacts you deleted unless he backed them up somewhere else. He'll just have to recreate them. This happened because you are both syncing contacts with a shared iCloud account. When you do this, the synced data is merged and any actions you take on one phone (such as deleting contacts) is also reflected on the other. To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores). To do this, on your phone go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on your phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to your new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the your husband's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them. -

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. I don't have a data plan for tmobile tw! Hopefully someone can help! Thank you so much in advance!
If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. If I have an apple ID for myself and my wife has just got a iPhone for the first time how can she get the same apps as I have for my iPhone and iPad by getting it off my iCloud?
She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts. -
I just got an iphone 4s and went to itunes to get all the stuff that I had on my last phone onto my new phone. I think that I have put all my setting for my old phone onto my new phone. My old phone being a iphone 4. Is there anyway I can get my phone back to how I got it earlier today?
No, no one here can help you, & neither can/will Apple. Only Orange can authorize the unlocking of your phone, & typical of most carriers, they will only do so for customers using the phone on their network.
Either establish service with Orange, then request the phone be unlocked, or sell it to someone that can use it on their network. -
I just got an iPhone 5 32GB and i have backed up my old 3GS 32GB via itunes (20GB of data on there) and it is taking a very long time to restore to my iPhone5. Its taken more than 20 hours and didnt complete.
The text "Time remaining ... hours" flickers.
I set it to start restoring from the 3GS backup yesterday at 1pm and the time remaining kept on increasing. I left it overnight and at 9am this morning the progress bar hadnt moved and it said 12 hours remaining.
I don't know why its taking so long. I unplugged it and it just set up as new phone. So i did a factory reset and tried again at 4pm and it is now 12am and it says 4 hours remaining and my computer occasionally flickers. (Its not a bad computer, 2 months old, i7, 6GB RAM, Heaps of HDD space). It also messes with google chrome and i cannot browse the web at all while it is trying to restore my iphone.
I have tried restarting my laptop and should i reinstall itunes? I simply dont see why it should take longer than 20 hours to copy over 20GB of data!
Can anyone help me?

I unfortunately just got my IPhone 4s stolen.I thought I had the find my iPhone enabled but I didn't because I cannot locate the phone when I sign in ICloud.I have a password on the phone but i'm not sure if I turned on the option where the phone resets if you incorrectly put the password more than ten time. I immediately called my phone company (Verizon) and reported the phone stolen.So I know whoever took the phone cannot place calls or use the phone. But can they still access my data on the phone if they manage to unlock the phone? If so how can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information? is there any other way other than Find my IPhone to wipe off the data on the phone? I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. I just got an iphone 6. Not all of my music was on itunes, so I logged in and instead of clicking set up as new iphone I hit restore from backup, thinking it only pertained to the music in itunes. Now my new iphone looks just like my old iphone and has iphone 5 settings. How can I undo and get back to iphone 6 settings?
