You'll have to read the terms of your warranty for India and see what your availalbe options are.
There are plenty of service providers in India, so that's not a problem.
Your location isn't a problem, what likely happened is your out of warranty period or you purchased the machine through another country and it got registered with a different warranty period. Once Apple discovered your in India, the warranty for that country is applied.
For instance in the EU the warranty period is 2 years by law, so Apple has to honor that. But elsewhere it's 1 year and perhaps that's why you were denied replacement. Not because your from India, that the warranty period for machines in India is one year, like it is for everyone else.
I guess you could fly to the EU and then make a warranty claim from there, but it's already too late, your machine and conversation with Apple was already recorded.
Now if your indirecting asking folks here to service your machine by shipping it to the EU, you better watch yourself around here.

Hi, I have a mac book pro running mavericks and recently tried to connect to a 3rd gen apple tv but the airplay icon is not showing up in the top bar. I then tried my girlfriends laptop running mountain lion and it showed up straight away. Any suggestions?
How old is the MacBook Pro? AirPlay is only supported on 2011 and newer models, due to the requirements it has in hardware for graphics acceleration.

I've just recently updated to the ver 4.0. After the update, I can't select my vertical scroll and any buttons on the search toolbar. I've tried switching off all the add-ons and running it on safe-mode but the problem still persist. Anybody encountered the same issue here? Any help would be good. Cheers
Okay. The missing menus at the top of iTunes (in recent versions) can indicate trouble with the Segoe UI fonts on your system. It's a new symptom of a problem that can also cause text to go missing from the Device tab in iTunes.
Unfortunately it's a bit trickier to deal with on Windows 7 systems than Vista or XP. (The "Vortical" instructions which can fix it for almost all folks on Vista and XP aren't applicable to Windows 7.)
Try having a look through the following (unfortunately very long) topic. It contains a lot of information on the Windows 7 variants of this, and possible methods for fixing the various Segoe UI-related issues that might be in play:

I would like to get the new lion operating system but I cant without first getting the latest version of snow leopard. however when I go to update my software it doesnt show that any update is available.
10.5.8 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard. You need the Snow Leopard DVD;

I have apple ID but after signing into that account too, it does't allow to update. None of the updates for these application are show in software update of late, but it flashes in the dock where app store is . Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory. I went by the Apple Store and they told me that there was a "Flat Rate" repair service for this particular part where they would replace the logic board along with the USB ports for $350. Seems like best avenue. All of this would have been moot but my wifi in the computer also doesn't work so I was using my phone as a hot spot and tethering it to the computer for Internet access when the last port quit. This left me with no internet and no printing capabilities on the computer I use for my business. Basically became a nice paperweight. lol
They will ship it off Monday and I should have it back Thursday!

Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
If nothing helped, since you don't hear the startup chord, make an appointment at an Apple Apple Genius Bar or take your Mac to an Apple certified repair provider.
v10.5.6 is an oudated version of Leopard. -
I have been trying import VHS video into iMovie via a Hollywood Dazzle bridge. I have been successful doing this in the past, but now it is not working. I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, (mavericks), iMovie 10.0.2. Everything in iMovie looks like it is working. It reads "recording" in the upper left hand corner of the pane while the video is playing. When I stop the process to check on my clip it says that the file is empty. The only thing that has changed since I did it successfully is that I upgraded to mavericks from whatever I had previously. My system is about one year old. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help! I was able to go to iMovie 9.0.9 and import video. I was still curious as to why it didn't work in version 10.0.2, so I contacted Apple tech support. They were't sure at first as to why it wouldn't work, so they had me delete iMovie 10.0.2 and then re-install it just to see if something had gone wrong when it upgraded. That didn't change anything. In the end, they determined that 10.0.2 doesn't support the Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge. But I have a workaround path from them that I will share so that it's possible to import to 9.0.9, then move it to 10.0.2.
1. Open iMovie 9 (finder/applications/iMovie 9.0.9
2. Import from Dazzle Bridge to iMovie 9, note which event you are importing the clips into
3. Close iMovie 9
4. Open iMovie 10 (probably in the dock)
5. File/Import Media...navigate to home(this was my name, on the left side of iMovie, under Favorites)/Movies/iMovie events. Find the event folder that contains your Dazzle clips (tip-try sorting by date modified to look at recent events.)
6. Select the clips and import. Click the blue "Import Selected" button on the bottom right.
You may get a message that some files cannot be imported. Click continue import. It's a little glitchy. It imports your clip, and also makes a copy of it, too. On the copy, the audio is normal, but the video is choppy. In any case, you would delete the copy, anyway.
