I just started Creative Cloud.  Lightroom 5 did not install; Serial: serial number removed

I have uninstalled Lightroom 5 and am unable to reinstall it.

Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You have photography CC, please uninstall it by checking the preference box too. (You might have a trial LR with incomplete uninstall)
Now try to download it from CCdektop APP.

    Creative cloud do not need a serial number. it will be using your Adobe ID on which you have purchased the creative cloud membership.
    So you need to login with your Adobe ID and password to activate the cloud membership. I mam unable to find any CC order placed under your Adobe Email provided here.
    Log out & log back in of the CC Desktop App.
    In case it is not signing in successfully please try the following:
    I don't know which operating system you are working on so i am giving you some steps windows and MAC OS:
       Windows:
       In windows 7 navigate to following location:
         /windows/system32/drivers/etc
       1. look out for "Hosts" file
       2. Open it with notepad
       3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
       4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
       Mac:
       1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
       2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
       3. Remove the entries and save the file
       4.  try again launching any product from CC

    Creative Cloud apps are not licensed via a serial number. Serial numbers are for perpetually licensed (non-Cloud) products.
    With Cloud (subscription) software you sign in with your Adobe ID.

    lightroom cc did not install automatically as it was supposed to.  Windows 7, 64 bit machine.  running lightroom 5, which upgraded itself upon installing creative cloud.

    Adobe Lightroom goes to exception folder once a package is created. You would need to install Adobe lightroom under exception folder using ExceptionDeployer.exe (WIN).

    creative cloud does not use a serial number.  it uses your adobe id.
    download the creative cloud desktop app (after signing in with your adobe id), Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial
    and use the desktop app to install your adobe creative cloud programs.
    if you already have the cc desktop app and you need to refresh your adobe id, Sign in, Sign out | Creative Cloud desktop app

    I have the same problem. We purchased creative cloud for teams on Friday. Now it is Monday. When I first started the apps I did not get any screen where it said that I was in trial mode. When I started the apps a second time the trial mode screen came up. I signed up but then it askes for a serial number. I already followed the steps from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html but I got stuck at step 4. I cannot click deactivate because it is in grey.
    I upgraded from CS4 Standard. I tried we deactivating those programs but that did not work either.
    The computer is Windows 7 Professional
    Can someone help me?

    As you mentioned that you have Creative Cloud for Team Subscription, did you send an invitation to yourself from the Admin Console(Creative.adobe.com) and accepted the same. If yes then please try updating AAM from the below mentioned link and try launching the software again.

    Also please check for any entries in Host file in this location
    Run-drivers-etc-hosts. Please open hosts file using notepad and if you find any Adobe entries then run this Microsoft fix it to fix the issue.

  • Trying Creative Cloud - Photoshop CS6 asking for a serial number?

    I am trying out Creative Cloud and have previously used trial version of Photoshop CS6 Extended.  Have downloaded Photoshop CS6 via creative cloud but when try to run it I get a message that I must enter a serial number.  Can anyone help ?

    Okay I am getting very panicky now as I have joined creative cloud and submitted payment and spent the whole morning waiting for it to download photoshop CS6 and it still comes up with 'enter serial number' - I have a project to finish today which isn't helping. As far as I am aware I have uninstalled the trial version I had installed.  Is there anything I am missing or that I could check - I am using a macbook pro - any help will be very greatfully received, this is not a great start to my 12 month contract!

  • I can't use the product because the creative cloud desktop app will not install .

    Windows 8.1. I was able to download light room, but at the creative website, when I click on a download nothing happens.  I was able to get the .exe down load file for creative clouds.. It seems to download and install with out issues until the very end it states" something happened", and a link to support appears.  So, I've put in most of the time tonight to get it fixed and there is no support. I'm tempted to give it up., or, if I can uninstall all remnants of adobe I bet it would install fine.  Is there an app that does a total adobe un install for remnants that cause this?  My fire wall and permissions are all checked .  went through the whole double check of my account.  My password was not stolen etc.

  • After computer crash, creative cloud shows applications as not installed

    My computer (running windows 7 64 bit) crashed, and after reboot most of my adobe apps (photoshop, premiere etc) disappeared from the installed apps list.
    The actual applications run fine, but they are not in the Creative Cloud window, so I cannot update them.
    They show up in the Find New Apps section.
    Instead of the "up to date" icon, They have the Install button next to them.
    What is the correct procedure to fix this?

    You probably downloaded the Lightroom Creative Cloud version. Your Perpetual License key will not work.
    Uninstall the existing version of Lightroom, this process will not affect your Catalog, Preferences or personal files.
    Then download the correct version from the link below, install and enter the license. Every thing should be just fine. (Also by displaying your License Key for all to see anyone can use it to have a free copy of the program)

  • Creative Suite 4 upgrade will not accept serial number

    I purchased Creative Suite 4 as an upgrade to Dreamweaver MX and everything was fine until my laptop packed up. On my new laptop I have re-installed Creative Suite 4 but it will not accept the serial number.
    I suspect this is because I do not have Dreamweaver MX installed on my new machine. I no longer have my Dreamweaver MX CD or serial number so am unable to re-install it.
    After a lengthy discussion with Customer Services they could offer no advice and suggested I post a question on the forums for advice.
    I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how I can get Creative Suite 4 to accept my serial number.

    Support is wrong. Only they can fix serail number issues since only they have access to the databases. Try again and request a different operator.
