I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6 and now my calendar, contacts, etc. are gone.  Is there any way to get this info back?

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6 and now my calendar, contacts, notes, etc. are gone.  Is there any way to get that information back?  I thought those things were automatically backed up in the first step of the update process.

The only restore I can find is from 2010.
