I lost my filter plug ins when I install Elements 13. If I choose one plug in in Preferences it installs it. But if I try to choose another one it just replaces the first one. How do I install multiple filter plug ins?

I have filters from Topaz, Imagenomic, ePaperPress, and Redfield. In the past when a new version of PSE came out, I just copied and pasted the folders w/ the ".8bf" files into the Plug-Ins folder of the new version. This time it didn't work.
I have been searching for a clue. I came across a confusing comment in a post from some Adobe gal [that has been linked multiple times. It said:
"Please click on Photoshop Elements in the top left corner and select 'Preferences'." The confusing thing about this is that I have no "Photoshop Elements" in the top left corner! As this is the first step, I'm stuck there...
Here is what I see in the upper-left corner:
When I click on the Elements 13 Logo, I get a small drop-down menu that has no "Preferences" option. I have versions of PSE back to 10 and none of them have "Photoshop Elements" in the top-left corner.
BTW, I'm running Win 7 Home 64.
I noticed that PSE 13 loaded into my Program Files folder, whereas all previous versions went to my Program Files (x86) folder. That indicates that 13 is running as a 64-bit app? Does that require different plugins?

Put all of your albums into one main photos album that you can sync from. You can only select one main folder of photos to sync to the iPad. If you direct iTunes to sync from a different folder the next time that you sync, the first album/folder will be deleted. You have to include all photos with each sync every time that you sync.
So create one main folder for photos and place all of your sub folders into that main photos folder, then when yo sync with iTunes, you can select that main photos folder as the "Sync Photos From" folder in the iTunes photos tab and you can select each of the subfolders within that main folder to sync as well.
But you can only select one level of subfolders to sync. You cannot sync a folder within a folder within the main folder - one level of sub folders only.
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Select the main photos folder in the Sync Photos From drop down menu
Click on/select all of the albums or sub folders within that main folder that you want to sync.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Anything you downloaded with the first Apple Id will forever be tied to it, and will always require it to update.
The question here is, why did you think you needed to create a new Apple ID? What was the problem with the first one?
To get rid of th old one, you'll need to delete everything you downloaded with it, and then sign out of the ID in several places around the iPad.
Go to Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID->Sign out.
Repeat the process, for Facetime, Messages, Mail and any other App you need to sign out of.

I use my 7th gen ipod on bluetooth and when the battery dies while on bluetooth it wont turn on or charge and the computer doesnt find it. This is my 2nd nano in just over a month. The first one had the same problem. how can i fix this?

I have the latest ipod nano (7th gen, 16gb) and I use it mostly on bluetooth. When the battery dies during use with the Bluetooth it doesn't take a charge, the battery doesn't turn on and of course the computer doesn't even acknowledge that it's plugged in. This is my second nano in just over a month, the same thing happen with the first one. I just want to know if their is a way to fix this so I don't have to keep sending it in? Or maybe pay the difference to upgrade to a touch?

If the battery has been completely depleted on the Nano (not really a good idea) then it is going to take 15 to 30 minutes before your computer can see it. Same thing will happen with an iPod Touch.

This is a part of the larger MacBook Pro connectivity issue. There are several related threads dealing with the MBP's networking problems. If your unit is suffering from this type of difficulty, good luck ... (or a long ethernet cable)

How do I install a new system file to replace the damaged one

I am tring to repair the permissions on my computer and am getting all of these types of errors. Computer is dragging. I reinstalled my operating system and this is what is happening. Any suggestions. Happening on my desk top I Mac and on my Mac Book. I did google search and Error 23 is "These errors indicate that the Mac tried to access one of the standard routines in the system file and couldn't find it. In all probability, that means you have a corrupted system file. Try installing a new system file to replace the damaged one."

I would apply or reapply the 10.6.8. Combo Update from Safe Boot (hold Shift down at startup -- give it much more time to boot than usual and leave it in SB for a few minutes before doing anything.)

Troubleshooting a start up script can be difficult. There are some third party programs that also keep logs of start up programs, however for Firefox this may be different.

In the control panel there is also Administrative tools to view event logs, but this may be something a local technician can walk you through.

I have a new iPod Nano. I returned the first one because when I listen to audio books in my car it will shut down 4 times and then in will play fine. Now the replacement is doing the same thing.

Is this a common occurrence? It happens in the car; I replaced the audio cable but it hasn't made a difference. Both iPods have come from Target. I was told by an employee to reset the iPod but I haven't done it yet. I have only owned the replacement for a week. I owned the first one for 2 weeks.

I own HDM 2011. But they have products that aren't listed or hard to find too.

When I record a second track, garageband will record the first one again, even if I'm with headphones on. How can I stop it?

That's really annoying, because I can't put an effect in the second track, once that the part of the first track that's together will be changed too. And it happens with a third track, and so on, the other tracks will be together with the track i just have recorded.
If anybody could help me, I'd be really grateful.
P.S.: it only happens with the audio recorder, and it didn't happen before.

I'm using GB 1.4 for Ipad 4, my IOS is 6.1.3, and the only mic is the one of the Ipad.
That's exactly the point: I'm recording the second track and the audio of the first one is appearing in the background, but the music is only being played through the headphones, and there is no way for the audio recorder be listening to it.
The first track i just sing with the guitar, then I tried to put a solo and backing vocals and this started to happen...

If I just hit play, this doesnt happen. As a result, I have several albums now in which the songs are in the wrong order. Its very frustrating, as this error then transfers over to my ipod every time I sync it. When I choose the info. for the songs, it has them correctly listed (i.e., it lists the songs as being #1 of 19 on the CD, for example). But then the song will have placed by Itunes as #5 of 19 for whatever reason. Itunes does not do this every time, but does it with enough frequency to be maddening. Any thoughts?

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...

Playing a second swf when the first one's finished

I have 2 swf files (the FLA's too) and want one to play then
the second. - I'd add the second to the timeline of the first, but
the second is a complete site and contains many referenced
"gotoandplay" links which would all need changing. So....I really
just need a way for the second swf to play after the first one's
finished. I tried using the load external movie clip behaviour, but
couldn't make it work. Can I use the first swf as a preloader
without affecting the timeline on the main swf? I canspare a couple
of frames at the start of the second movie for that, but don't know
how to set it up - can anyone help?
I also want the custom cursor to remain only in the first
swf, and go back to default on the second.

I think you may want to create a 'master' loading swf, rather
than loading the second movie into the first, and use the
MovieClipLoader class to call and load new movies into the master
container.
Set up a new swf, that is the same size as the others. you'll
set up a function on the first frame and then use that function to
load all subsequent content into the master document. You can also
use methods of the class to add things like preloaders and other
event handlers. so for instance, at the last frame of the intro
swf, you'd add a 'call' to the function in the master telling it to
load the next movie in the sequence. I'll add the call you will
need on the bottom of the code example below.

I'm not one to solicit, however I have (awhile ago) developed
a Component that you may be interested in for your site, although
it has not been package and ready for distribution, it does
function - called 'glitterMouse', and produces a twinkling mouse
trail effect when you move the cursor, mush like the onRollOver
animation that you'd painstakingly made (ouch) except that it use
random twinkle generation at run-time, and has many property
settings, like color, quantity, gravity, and so on. It might be a
nice addition to your 'wand' cursor, and would not 'replace it' as
it's not a 'cursor' but an effect generator.

you can't purcahse it from there ... yet) can be seen on my site

OK the code for you, add this to the first frame of the
'master' swf, then add the code at the bottom to the end of the
intro swf in the last frame.
EDIT: this is AS2 code, to use AS3 code do something more
like the methods as described above, yet I would still consider
placing all content within a 'master' loading doc, and replaceing
or removeing previously loaded children.

I have had some luck doing the following: Export each clip from imovie as a quicktime clip. Open iDVD and create a new project. Import a few stills into iDVD and then click on the button that gets created to get into the screen where the individual slides appear. Drag each quicktime into that screen and arrange in the order you want. You can then delete the stills. The button that appeared when you dropped in the stills will launch a complete show.
