I'm fixing to throw my phone!!!!!!

Moved for greater exposure

DON'T do a hard reset without trying other troubleshooting first. It's a major pain to lose all your stuff and add it back, when most likely you don't have to.
This sounds like an app issue, and I would suggest clearing the cache on your keyboard, texting, and email apps as the VZW rep stated above. Whatever you use your keyboard for should be cleared.
Also, try removing any apps that were added right before you started noticing these problems. I'd be willing to bet money that it's an app doing this.

  • Why can't I accept the new terms and conditions for iTunes?  It has been since I updated to ios7. Really thinking the update was/is more hassle than its worth. Ready to throw my phone from a moving car

TThis whole update has been nothing but trouble for my phone. Yes there are some nice features but this is ridiculous. I have tried what others have said to do with no help.

Tell me where you are planning to throw the phone out of your moving car.  I want to pick it up from the side of the road and resell it.

Were some of the songs purchased from a different itunes account?

Yeah that is what I thought, but the passcode used to be alpha numeric and just changed to being 4 didgets and I don;t recall making that change.  This is only to approve updates on my iPhone.  The other issue is on my mac pro.

how to fix black screen. Phone still rings.

    Hello TaQuilla,
If nothing ever shows on the screen when you start it, or anything you may need to reset the phone, or restore the software. Try this first:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that does not get the screen going, then backup your device, and restore it.

  • Phone does not sync w/exchange.  When is this going to get fixed?  My smart phone is now a dumb phone?

The iphone does not sync with exchange even after apple says the new upgrade addresses calendar issues.   When is this going to be fixed?  My smart phone is now dumb?
    <Edited by Host>

Sorry, quite right.  My note was not helpful, just plain frustrated.  the sync does not hold.  So the phone keeps trying to establish the synchronization.   Thus, it zero's out the emails and intermittently does not hold the calendar, the phone shows the calendar unchecked.  When you manually recheck the calendar it begins to sync.  There was quite a lot of blogging about the issues of exchange and the iphone.  Also contacts will revert to telphone numbers only with the name of the individuals disappearing. After sync is restablished everything looks normal and then when it losses synchronicity, it starts all over again.   It is happening as I type.  There were a nbr of user suggestions about how to maintain stablility with synchronicity.   However, none of the issues resolved the matter.  I have spoken with my IT department.   What settings do you have for exchange....what version of exchange.   I also heard the apple dismissed its chief overseeing this aspect of the iphone 5 because of the issues.
    Apple is very unhelpful....

  • Horendous gps with C6, I want to throw my phone in...

I am so freaaking sick of this phone, it is only few months old. I bought it mainly because of disposable keyboard and gps tracking. But gps just does not work. Today I am waling aroudn the city trying to get signal, because I was lost, and nothing helped. I waited like 30 minutes, in fact I tried to use **bleep**ing gps 3 days in a row and each time battery ran out and still not freaking signal
yes i tried so long that the battery ran out. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED PUTTING OUT A **bleep** OF A PHONE LIKE THAT: WHAT A PIECE OF **bleep** THIS PHONE IS: As soon as I find another solution, I am throwing this piece of garbage whre it belongs, in the sewer.

As MartinHo said, did you use A-GPS? If not, its not unusual for you not to get a signal. You are in a city with tall buildings blocking the GPS satellites. The GPS device on ANY phone cannot work as well as a dedicated GPS device simply because these are low power consumption models and are smaller. Simply put, use A-GPS to get the fix in a few seconds. Fix will take even more time if you did not pre-download maps onto your phone (opening maps show you a blank slate), because even if you do get a fix (a red dot in center of screen) you still have to use data to download the city maps. If you have set the maps to offline but does not have a downloaded map, then you'll get a position fix via coordinates but not the maps since you disabled downloading by setting offline.
If you want to use the maps without network cost, you have to predownload the maps, and have a working signal from an open area before daring to venture into a city with tall buildings.
If you want an easier approach and decide to throw away the phone, then buy a dedicated navigator. Shame it cant make a call though.

  • Australia, Telstra phone lines: How to fix clicks/noise from phone line?

This is probably the wrong forum to post my question, but I hope that some Australian HP users might have a solution to my problem, which is:
My HP7410 emits noise - scratches, clicks, & so on, which I assume is phone line noise - which can be very loud especially at 2am - 3am.
I've set the volume control to "off", but the noise is still just as loud as ever.
The noise doesn't seem to be affected by anything I can find; it's not WiFi transmitter activity, not time of day....nothing I can find.
5 years ago I tried to get our phone provider, Telstra, to investigate & fix the problem but the tech reckoned there was nothing wrong (typical). So there seems no reason to put the problem to them: as far as I can see, they will profess to be concerned but not responsible for the hash noises.
How can I get rid of it? Does anyone have any solutions?

    Hi @bowhand,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that you are getting noise - scratches, clicks, and so on with your HP 7410 printer. I am happy to look into this for you!
    Some questions for you:
Do you have the phone line connected to the printer, or just the fax line?
Do you know if your phone service is Analog or Digital?
If the printer is powered off, does the noise still occur with the phone lines connected?
Once I know this information, I will be happy to do some further research!
    Thank you for posting!

  • When is Apple going to fix freezing problem in phone

Why is it taking so long to fix the bug where the screen freezes when trying to delete voice mail calls. Also voice mail is never working

Try doing a full powerdown reboot of the phone.
Hold down the wake/sleep button until the power
off slider button appears and turn phone off.
Wait a second or two then power the phone back
up by holding down wake/sleep until the Apple
    logo appears.

  • How do I fix a wet I-phone 4?

How do I fix an I-Phone 4 that got wet?

If you don't power it off and leave it off immediately when it gets wet or if it was anything sugary that got into it(soda, wine), it's pretty much a goner.
You can try putting it into a ziploc bag filled with uncooked rice for 10-14 days to try to dry it out.
    Good luck

  • HT201436 Ive always had voicemail on my iphone 3s and now it has disappeared.  no one can leave a message and i can find where to fix it on my phone

I have an ipone 3s and always had a voicemail on it.  The voicemail has dissappeard and I cant figure out how to add it back on.  When someone calls it rings and rings and then after about 15 rings it says, unavailable, call back later.  I dont know how to reset it.  i have tried to reset network settings and that didnt work either.
If anyone know how to fix this, it would be great.
    Thank you
    Sandy

You will need to contact your phone carrier, voicemail is a carrier feature.

  • Swipe experience..Now I need to either send it to be fixed or exchange my phone

I had a problem connecting to the link yesterday and after trying to get the link to work I lost most of my data on the z10.  My deleting the link and reinstalling didn't work and the restore function went to 100% on the desktop and wouldn't finish on the handset and eventually I pulled the plug when it was obvious it was never going to finish.   All these issues  started just by trying to download some pictures which I have done many times before. I tried my provider Rogers for support and they wanted me to pay for support.  I went here and no one responded.  I called BB head office and I was to get a returned phone call and after 6 hours of waiting by the phone I decided just to do  swipe and start over.  The swipe apparently removes the provider information which is truly idiotic.  This should be firewalled to prevent this.  The service provider has no idea how to resolve the issue and it was mutually decided that another phone would be exchanged for the one I have.  I will get another phone that was returned for some reason.  This costs $35 plus tax which actually for all the time I spent trying to resolve the emails and other connectivity issues seems like a bargain.  I will wait for up to 5 days for a replacement.
I have once again spoken to head office and spoke to the same lovely lady I did yesterday and she has escalated my complaint.  I am also a shareholder an am being way more patient than I would be had I just been a customer.  As a customer I would have  taken the the phone back right at the outset when the emails wouldn't sync.  I needed to know what the issues were with the phone and didn't want to hear second hand what they were. If you have yahoo, gmail, and really ordinary emails the set up works fine.  Pop which I have, not so much. I have yet to really sync up my phone and my desktop email which is Microsoft and not some unknown entity.
I thought after a couple of months these issues would  have been resolved and as a shareholder I'm stunned with the ongoing problems with syncing of emails.  This should be a no brainer.  If there is one sort of thing that can help it would be to help the volunteers here with some sort of compensation to help resolve issues as fast and as easily as possible. Let's not rely on 3rd party support let's just have the best support any co can buy.
I have been around the world it seems with support and most of the tech support is lacking the knowledge that every tech support should have to make this co hummm. BB can differentiate itself with a superior phone but more importantly a superior help line.  That's not rocket science that's just good business.
I will update when I have more information as to what action BB takes to resolve my issues.

So the information the tech support at BB gave me this morning was wrong and it didn't remove the Rogers set up. Another tech support guy called later and promised to get me someone who could handle the problem.  I got exceptional help from this fellow Eric and he spent 2.5 hours on the phone with me and sorted out my problems. They need a hundred more  of these sorts of guys working in Tech support.
    In a nut shell
no one knows what happened when my stuff just disappeared, let's assume pilot error
when you are putting in email addresses not all the automatic in fills work which I knew but there was one little issue to work out which did make it work
I was having trouble with my main email connection to the server and it turns out that when I reset the password it never registered and it was indeed wrong.  This tool a call to my internet provider
The transfer of my contacts is on going and this took the longest.  We did a number of things and essential we are putting them back one client at a time which is 146 inputs but all contact info is intact it just has to be done one at a time instead of all 146 at once.  This definitely is an issue and somehow needs a better solution. I was able to transfer the contacts back in Feb. when I first got the phone but not this time.  The tech guy couldn't either so I'm glad that wasn't something I was doing wrong.
I'm using Live Mail as my email account on the desktop which is the main reason for most of the issues.  A free outlook is the way to bring the contacts in and although this has a few steps it will work.  The Live mail does not make cvs file properly but if you use the business card vcf it will do all of them individually and place them in a folder that you create.  It is here you would then transfer them individually to outlook.
There is apparently a two way syncing from BB which will be done over the next two software upgrades.  Those of us with live mail need to upgrade to outlook and eventually will get 2 way syncing.  It just doesn't exist at this time for Outlook.  This would have been nice to know in advance.  It would save a lot of people some grief.
It has been a long two days and with any luck this will help someone else.

  • I synced my iTunes with my iPhone 5. Some of the titles don't match the songs. When I checked the iTunes database, yes it is the latest version, the titles and songs matched correctly. so how do I fix this on my phone?

I synced my iTunes with my iPhone 5. some of the titles on't match the songs. I checked my iTunes database, it is the latest version, and the titles and songs all match. So how do I fix this on my iPhone?

Sounds like you may need to re-download the entire albums from iTunes. See this KB article for how to download past purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
I'd suggest doing it one album at a time. Delete one, download it from your purchase histor, then the next, etc.
