I need people's take on iPhone cases with magnetic clasps. I want a case that covers my screen but I don't want to wreck my beautiful new iPhone!

It will do no harm. There are no magnetic media in an iPhone. Apple makes iPad cases containing magnets, which would seem to indicate it's OK.

Buy one that is certified. Your current case might work without problems, and then might stop working in the future. iOS 7 is especially "sensitive" to uncertified peripherals. With this iOS release they have started to clamp down on "pirate" peripherals.

Has anyone got their Vaja case for their iPhone 4 yet?

I just got mine and am disappointed. I've bought probably a half-dozen of their cases for earlier iPhones and iPods and have liked them.
This one doesn't fit well though. The part that folds over the screen doesn't fit tightly enough so that it is very easy to slide it off enough to one side or the other to the extent that it doesn't protect the screen.
Too bad, waited almost 2 months and now this . . .

I bought mine at the Vaja store in Paris while there on business. I got the sleeve-model. It is just gorgeous, if way too expensive. BUT within three days, it was too large and too loose and the iPhone 4 just slides right out while it is in your pocket. It's probably better for women who might place it in their purse in a pocket where it isn't going to slide around - but it is unsafe and unusable in a pants pocket. Sadly, I can't return it to Paris...I use it, but only when I can carry my iPhone in my inside suit breast pocket - otherwise, I use an older case for my pocket. Oh well.

If you purchased it in India, take it to the store where you purchased it from. If you purchased it elsewhere, you will have to take it back to the country of origin or send it to someone you know there to have it replaced. An out of warranty replacement is US$199.

If you do not want to use passcodes, why don't you just go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and delete the passcode and set the lock to OFF. That will eliminate the problems all together.

you must restore i would put in dfu mode if it isnt asking to restore when you plug it in

You can't get the phone working without the correct password, because the previous owner activated Find My iPhone and Activation Lock. In order to unlock the phone you would have to ocntact the previos owner of the phone. Unfortunately, this is the only way to get it working again.

They will be in whatever program/cloud service that you had chosen to sync.

I have plugged my iphone into my mac computer to restore the phone and it restored then went to the start menu as a new phone does then asked if i wanted to resync from uploaded data from a previous save, then i pressed resync. and now it doesnt work.

I have had this problem before but apple didnt know how to fix the problem so they replaced the phone.
I plugged my Iphone into the computer and went into Itunes and restored the phone because it wasnt working properly. it saved my data and then when it turned itself back on after the restore it was at the main menu when u get a new phone and have to set it up, so i went along and did the normal selections as i did when setting up the phone and when it got to where you choose to set up as a new iphone or restore from previous date with data i chose the restore option, it then said i had no service and the sim card was not compatable for the phone, i turned the phone off and it still says the same thing, im not sure what to do and im very annoyed with how it has happened a second time and ive only had the new phone for about three to four weeks now if that.

I lost my phone, but luckily I got an old/lost iphone from my work. It has been reset to some sort of start-up mode, where you can activate the iPhone, but it is linked to the old apple id (the unknown, previous owner's) and since I do not have the password nor the e-mail for this old apple id, I cannot figure out how to link the iphone to my own apple id and finally get it activated.

I had "do not disturb" on in England. I did take it off airplane mode periodically, but I never actually used the network. I stuck to local wifi to do brousing and a bit of messaging. It periodically told me I was on an English network, but I didn't actually use it. And I had data roaming shut off all together.
