I'm trying to set up a firefox sync account, but the captcha is invisible for some reason, so I get stuck at the `prove you're not a robot' step. What can I do?

I'm trying to set up firefox sync on my macbook. When setting up my account, the "prove you're not a robot" page loads with a blank captcha, so of course I can't go on.
At first I thought that adblock might be interfering, so I disabled it. No dice. Is there another add-on that might be causing a problem or a setting I should change? I'm running firefox 3.6.13 w/ Abine, but no other active add-ons, in MacOS 10.6.5.

By the way, this is in the brand new Firefox 4, not an extension.

I have just acquired an iPad and noticed for the first time your synch feature; while trying to fill it out, there was nothing visible in the "prove you're not a robot" screen. Since I use my own system colors on the browser, this happens frequently, so I changed the colors to those of the website. Still blank. This makes it hard to complete registration.

I've tried updating the software, reinstalling iTunes, using different ports on the laptop, different cables...just about everything. I have NEVER been able to connect this one device, but all the others are fine. I'm at my wits end. Is there someone out there who can help a relative novice figure out what's going on? First, have the recipient check any anti-spam filters that may be present on her email account or in any email application to make sure that messages from Apple aren't being blocked. If she is sure that is not the case, go here:

When setting up a Firefox Sync account I was never asked a secret phrase. When I try to use Firefox Home it asks for the secret phrase. What do I do? (using Firefox 3.6.10, iphone 4 and macbook OS X

On the MacBook, open up the Preferences dialog and go to the Sync panel. Click the Manage Account button so it shows more options, then click on the My Sync Key link to show you the Sync Key.
The sync key is the same as the secret phrase, it was renamed in recent versions of Firefox Sync.

Hello ymprice91277, let's solve this mystery! To unlink the Facebook contacts go to Settings, Facebook, turn off contacts.

There is nothing that you can do. If you don't have a more recent backup, you can't magically create a current backup now. You can use the 5 month old backup, or simply start all over again. You can download most of your purchased content again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchases.

When setting up my Sync account, there was a typographical error in my email address. (Unlike most setup routines, this one did not required double entry of email address. Now I understand why most do.) I discovered the error in trying to set up Sync on my laptop. How do I make the necessary email address correction?

Currently, to change your email address, you will need to go to Sync Preferences on your first computer and choose "Deactivate This Device"; then, choose "Set Up Firefox Sync" and create a new account with your corrected email address.
I apologize that this is not a better process. The Services team is working on an improved process that will allow you to change your email address more easily in the future.

Cannot generate a Key. Manage Account menu doesn't show up even after following Help articles. Correct username, e-mail and password. I already have a Firefox Sync Account but cannot Add a Device. No way to Sync due to no Key.

First I had to Clear My Sync Data, then Yes I Already Have a Sync Account [enter User, Password] and only then the Key appeared in its proper field. If your Mac is using the Lion operating system with recent updates, it will be necessary to download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 for Mac OS X Lion
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility 5.6
Select the AirPort Extreme and click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab just below the row of icons
Click the Wireless Network Options button
Remove the check mark next to Create a closed network
Click Done, then click Update to save the new settings and allow 25-30 seconds for the AirPort Extreme to restart

My podcast is updated in the store, but for some reason won't update to my Podcasts App or to my subscriptions in iTunes. Can anyone tell me why?

I've been producing a podcast for a while now, and just recently had this problem. I've updated the rss feed and loaded new episodes to the podcast, but for some reason the episodes are showing up in the iTunes store when you search for the podcast, but the "Podcasts" app on my iPhone isn't updating, and neither is my subscription to the podcast in my iTunes software.
Can anyone tell me my why the store has my latest episodes, but my subscriptions don't update and add them?

That is the correct feed URL.
The title for the episode of 4th February has an ampersand ('&') in it. You can't have an ampersand in an XML file such as a feed because it indicates the start of a code sequence which is never completed, thus rendering the entire feed unreadable in same readers. I'm surprised that the Store is coping with it - evidently the programming recognizes that it's within a tag; the iTunes application, which is a different program, isn't and so is showing no episodes as it can't read the feed.
You need either to replace the ampersand with the code
&
or the word 'and'.
