You said you updated yur 1G iPod to 4.2.1. A 1G can only go to 3.1.3 and thus you must have jailbroken it to get to 4.2.1 and that can cause problems.

Does it not work either way? Sending and receiving? Did you check the settings and make sure that nothing has changed? If you can receive email, but not send it, check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

It sounds like your iPad is not showing in Find my iPad when you check it. Take a look at this info from the following article named:

This can occur if:
The date on your device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch) is incorrect. Choose Settings > General > Date & Time to check and set the date.
Your device is not up-to-date. It needs to be running iOS 5 or later.
Your iCloud account is not configured on your device. Choose Settings > iCloud and enter your iCloud account information.
You have multiple iCloud accounts entered on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Only one account can have Find My iPhone turned on at a given time. Log in to Find My iPhone with your other iCloud accounts until your device is listed.
There's a scheduled maintenance or another issue affecting Find My iPhone. Check the System Status site to see if this is the case.

Apps on AppStore won't update apps. Everytime I hit update on one of the apps, it opens up that certain app and doesn't update it. Any ideas on what's going on?

The apps on my AppStore won't update. It gives me the notification on the App Store on the app, and when I check it and hit update, it just opens up the app. none of the apps will update because all they will do is just open the app. anyone know what to do?

As you can see when I go to my Updates page in the App Store, as an example you can see that Facebook shows an Update button. However, it's already updated and when I click update it simply opens FB.
If I open the App Store and search for Facebook, it shows the Open button next to it. This Updates page has a major bug.
And why does Chrome and Vevo still show up under the Updates page? Shouldnt they be under the Purchased section?
Im still on 7.0.6 but I highly doubt that is the issue as this wasn't happening up until a month or two ago. I thought nothing of it until so many people kept reporting the same bug/error. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Thanks for the question. I understand you have a few apps that only display "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

TS1424 I pre-ordered an album in December that came out on February 11th and it won't let me download the album that I had preordered.

I preordered an album in December that came out on February 11th and when I went to download it this morning and last night, it wouldn't let me download the songs. It only says "purchased" and when I click on the song, it only plays the preview of the song. When I go to "purchased>Music>Not on this iPhone" it only shows the songs I've deleted from my phone, that are still on iCloud. It doesn't show the songs I've pre-purchased. I'm very annoyed and want it fixed as soon as possible.

Sorry to hear that but you have to download it on a computer first. Also, you havent paid the album yet, so will still be charged when you download it. When you check your account history, you can see that you were only charged for 1 song when you pre-ordered it.

Itunes won't let me download some songs without 7.6.2

When i attempt to download some songs, i get a message "You must download version 7.6.2." I download it, restart the computer and it still does it! I don't know what else to do. Other songs i download with no problem. I'm running windows xp.

Go to Help->About iTunes and determine what version of iTunes you are actually running.
If it isn't 7.6.2, you are not installing it correctly.
If it is 7.6.2, I would recommend contacting iTunes support.

I got a popup which wanted to protect me and said I had to press a button to get there site to pay. I pressed the button and there were different plans to pay for. $9.99 for a year etc. I just left. But how did that happen. Sorry I didn't write down the info. it looked like a scam to me and I just hightailed it outa there.
BTW also having continuous problem with watching videos [mostly youtube] and other downloads... they just stop in the middle of the download. Any ideas?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
