I need help with Photoshop CS4 reactivation issue

It may be more than just an activation issue. CS4 has always worked beautifully on my iMac until yesterday when it failed to launch. I tried everything and finally deactivated it, reinstalled it and it still won't launch. I do not have Photoshop CS4 on any other computer. I've been all over the web and ran into many people with the same problem. Adobe won't help resolve CS4 issues so I'm stuck. HELP!!

Does launching it give you an error code?

Need help with reviewer CS4

I am usung the Captivate reviewer to distribute draft modules.
The problem I am havving is the .LOCK file - when someone goes to review the module, they have to specify the location of a temp file. (the .lock file). When they have finished that module, then they have to either specify a new location for the next module, ot manually delete the lock file.
Is there a way to disable the comments logging feature, or have the lock file automatically deleted?

I need help with Flash CS4. I am making a banner with an animation (Image change into movie clip "3D Spiral") and added buttons but I cannot get the buttons to control the animation. Please help I am frustrated! If someone could help I would be most appreciated.

Help With Photoshop CS4 + background image

So I'm trying to edit this background image for my myspace page, it looked fine in photoshop cs4, even when I previewed the image with the save to web and devices , the image looks fine. I also saved the iamge with the highest quality settings I could as a JPG. But when I add it to my myspace page the image becomes blurry , it's hard to see everything

I know it's not the code becuase the code is exactly the same , the only thign I changed was the image adress. The only part of the iamge i changed in cs4 was the logos, i didnt change the iamge size its stil lthe same.
Please any help would be greatly apreciated, if you need me to uplaod my project jsut let me know.

Astrophotography - need help with photoshop

Hello all,
I'm trying to learn how to do low-light night photography, including some astrophotography. I bought an intervalometer and just collected 100 photos. Using Bridge I load all 100 into Photoshop layers. It took a fairly long time (several minutes) to load, but is it seems they all loaded correctly. The problem is now whenever I do anything in Photoshop I get an error message saying there's not enough RAM. Also, everything else on the computer slows way down. I went to PS preferences and upped the RAM to the max I have available, 3.3 Gb. Didn't help.
I'm taking all the shots as RAW files. Should I be shooting JPEGs instead? Do I just need more RAM? 3.3 Gb seems like it should be enough.
Any suggestions.
I'm using a Canon 40D, CS6, and a Mac Mini running OSX 10.8.4.

Not if you value image quality.
In any case once the image is a layer in a layered Photoshop file the original compression is moot.
What is the images’ size in pixels?
Did you stack the images as Smart Objects or straight Layers?
Could you please post a screenshot with the Layers Panel visible?

Need help with Photoshop CS5.5 Printing issues with Epson R2880

Hi,
I'm experiencing problems printing on photoshop, I already selected center image but the epson printer always print to the upper left hand corner of
the page. And the image is always cropped in a weird way, so eveytime I print the image is not a whole. I made sure I selected the right paper size too.
It used to print okay, this happened a while ago but I don't know how it got fixed evetually, I think was after a complete restore of my OS.
I am sure its nothing to do with the Epson driver, becuas after I export the file from photoshop to PDF it prints fine with either preview or adove acrobat.
Has anyone else experienced such problem?

Need Help with Photoshop elements 5.0

I know that this is a very old version of photoshop elements, but I would still like to use it, since I paid $100.00 for it. The problem is that it hasn't been installed onto my computer for awhile and now when I go to install it I get an error msg. each time. The msg is (C: Program Files\Adobe\EspionAlbum.dll. Verify that the file exist and that you can access it)!!
I have gone to the program files and into adobe and the Espion file is there! I have also called adobe technical support and they will not help me because it is such an outdated version. I am really aggrivated with adobe support and would really appreciate any help that anyone might be able to offer! Also, go slow, I am not a computer wiz, for sure! Thank you!

Okay...sorry...it is Windows XP Version 5.1 Does this clarify for everyone? I assumed that most people would get that much once I saw that I left out the XP in the original post!
Now that is out of the way...is it possible for anyone to help me with the problem at hand? Can anyone tell me if I can run Elements 5.0 on Windows XP or are they not compatible? Ok, but I still have no answer as to why my program is not working. I am using my elements 12 for a on-line digital scrapebooking class. I need this funcntion to work so I can do my homework and be able to move on with this class.

I need some help. I've been run CS on an XP system. Today I bought a new Vista system and purchase and downloaded the CS4 upgrade.
I don't know what to do with the download. I unzipped the .7z file with WinZip but I'm stuck. What do I do now?

Need help with Photoshop and "Licensing for this product has stopped working" message. Adobe fix isn't working.

I am still using CS3. A while back I received an error: "Licensing for this product has stopped working" for my CS3 programs. I used the recovery program suggested by Adobe and was able to get Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver to work, but I still can't open Photoshop or In Design. I went back to the Adobe site and did every other trick they suggested to fix the error, but nothing has worked.
I then tried to uninstall photoshop from my CS3 suite (so I could reinstall) but got a JavaScript Alert: "Critical errors were found in set up. Please see set up log for file details." Seeing as I am not the best with the behind the scenes technical stuff, I have no idea what this means or where the set up log even is. Any help anyone can provide?
I have had CS3 installed on my computer for over a year. I started having problems about 4 months ago.

I am having similar problem. Can't open any of CS3 programs after trying to download Dreamweaver Trial, which wouldn't work because "couldn't remove DLM extention" error message. So now I can not run Illustrator, Photoshop, or even Adobe Reader. These are properly licensed for about a year. I get "License for product has stopped working". Have 2 pending cases open with Adobe support (one for Dreamweaver trial, one for license problem) since 8/3 with NO ANSWERS - It says answers within 1-3 business days. Was on phone support hold today for over 3 hours before line went dead with no help. What is up with adobe support? Can anyone help?

Need Help with script: CS4 Flash Buttons

I created a 3 button bar using Flash CS4. It will link to three different HTML pages in a website. This is one of the three scripts I have on the first frame of the main timeline, the code is for one of the buttons, the other two are really the same with differing button numbers. This code does now open the page up in a NEW BROWSER window, but I would like the page to open in the existing window and not in a new one. The 3 buttons also have down states identified by a frame label of “hold”, I would like the script to set the hold frame or down state to be displayed when the proper page is loaded in the browser . Will someone please suggest to me what I need to add to this script to achieve this, your time and effort will be appreciated.

Need help with Low disk space issue and blue screen

Hi Everyone, just seen a message stating a low disk space on my Mac pro bought last November and tried plugging in an external hard drive to remove some pictures to free up some space but it seems that the computer did not have enough space left to start up and run the hard drive. I then tried to restart and ended up with a blue screen and have no knowledge now how to fix this problem. I phoned support but they say I have no technical support left but do have warranty and I would need to either try with the community here or take the unit to an apple store for an appointment. The store is an 1 and 1/2 from me and I really want o see if there is another fix that could allow me to start again then remove some files and then add external drive to remove more. I was blown away at the low amount of storage.....looked for the icloud option last night to upload there as i was told about this by a UK client of mine and now see it is not up and running. Any advice or help by the communtiy would be greatly appreciated as this is my business and travelling laptop. Cheers, Dean <")))><

Further notes: OSX needs about 15% or 10GB Free space minimum, but will run mucch faster/safer with 30-40% or 50GB of Free Space... Free Space is no longer ours to use.
Another tool to help clear up assorted things is Applejack...

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
