Drilling data from pie charts is very much possible. The data drilled down can be shown either in spread sheet format via components called "Scorecard" "List View". But if its specified that you need the current data drilled down to a separate excel spread sheet only then, you may need to use the third party components for it.
There are many such components available for free. There are components available which are paid as well. You will have to find out which ones are free. Check out the threads below.

Creating a "Print View" of a Table on Another Sheet
Hi-
I would like to create a "print view" of a table on another sheet that already has reorganization filters applied to it. There is a template in Numbers called "Employee Schedule" that has exactly this, where the "printable" table's cells simply reference every cell in the source table on the other sheet.
I know there is a way to very quickly (i think with a dragging motion), create the references in each cell in one or two operations, as opposed to going to each individual cell and typing in the reference to the source table. I saw a post about how to do this a while back but cannot seem to locate it again
How do I do this? Thanks again for everyones help ;-)

Select the first cell by clicking once on it, such that the border is highlighted. Then grab the little circle in the lower right corner of the border and drag it to the end of your table, either right or down. You can use this method to fill down or to the right. Sometimes it can be fussy, and if it refuses to behave, then you can use the alternate method, Copy and Paste. Click once on the first cell and Command-C. Shift-click the last cell and Command-V.

janeCreating separate swf's these days as far as I know is
considered to be a better practice than using the "scenes" that are
in Flash. The reason is you can load various sections of your
entire Flash entity rather than the user downloading everything at
once.
But, it also depends on the complexity of where your menu
items are leading. If they are simple enough, then there may be no
need to create new documents.
To create a button that links to a jpeg, try this.
Whatever graphic you're using for the button, select it and
hit F8 to convert it to a movie clip. Once it's in your library,
click on your new movie clip on the stage and give it an instance
name in the properties window.
Click the first frame in your timeline (preferably on a layer
named "actions") and put this example in for the actionscript:

I am creating a weekly chart showing ClearQuest records in a certain state over a 3 month interval. I need to show every week in that 3 month interval even if there is no change in Defects that week.
I will not be able to reference any files with weekly dates in it because, this is will something available via a ClearQuest report format.
Note that I able to create functions with each weekly date and totals (separate functions for each week) in Crystal. Is there any way I can use this data to create a trend chart?
I have been reading about a mock crosstab. It sounds perfect for what I read. Can I create a mock crosstab based on my functions and ClearQuest data to be used for my charts?
If so, I have Crystal Reports 10 Professional Edition. Is there an example or documentation that tells you how to create a mock (or manual) crosstab?Post Author: miwalker

I'm trying to also figure out how to save the weekly totals for each State (ex. Open, Working, Verify, Closed). I can get it to work for CurrentDate or CreatedDate because that date is saved in my db, but would rather have totals for each State for each week of the year.
I would appreciate it if someone could please share how they accomplished this. Thanks in advance.

Need help creating a bubble chart

I am trying to create a bubble chart using the voting data from Eurovision. In this data there are 37 countries that rank the 26 final countries with a score of 1 to 26 (and no vote for themselves). So the data looks like this (full
spreadsheet here):

The column Albania is the votes from Albania. The row Ukraine is the placement each country gave Ukraine. In the example above Albania put Ukraine in 19th place.
What I want for a bubble chart is the Y axis is the placement (or score). The X axis is the list of countries receiving votes. And the size of the bubble is the number of countries giving that score to the country. So if Albania is the only country giving
Ukraine 19th place, then there is a bubble with a radius of 1 in the Ukraine column at the Y axis of 19. If there are three countries giving Ukraine 19th place, then the bubble has a radius of 3.
And if possible, for each bubble that has more than 1 country giving a vote at that point, the bubble is a pie chart showing the countries giving that vote.
Is this doable? And if so, how?
If not, how should I set up this data?

Need to create a directory in inDesign using data merge
Need to create a multi paged document that contains fields with persons pix, name, address, and phone number.
It will be alphabetized and searchable using an index.
I want the end result to be a multi-page pdf.
Is data merge the tool to use?

Lisa-reneeYep, Data merge can do that. You'll want to make multiple records per page, have a look at the help here and report back with specific questions if you have them.
You need to get your document that you're merging from sorted first though, there's a script here that will help you arrange your images. -
Highlighting Source Data When Chart is been moved to Another Sheet?
Hi,
I know that when a chart is chosen, it's corresponding data becomes highlighted when the two (table and chart) are on the same sheet. Is there a way to highlight the data when the two are on separate sheets, so one could toggle between the two sheets and make changes as necessary? I know I can move the chart back to the data sheet, make the changes and then move it back again to its own sheet. I have to do this, anyway, if I want to crop the chart (without deleting data) or shift the data in the chart to the right by a column or two, for example, but it would be so much nicer, if I could just highlight the data 'remotely' from the chart, so-to-speak. I have a couple of other reasons for wanting to do this also:
(1) I make my charts almost full screen size, so moving them back to the data sheet cuts them off (tough to see any changes without scrolling or shrinking the chart).
(2) I have multiple data tables on one sheet with multiple charts to complement the data tables. Putting all the charts and data on the same sheet can make for one very untidy sheet no matter how big the screen.
I've looked around on the forum and in Numbers Help, but found only one reference to moving charts to separate sheets. Unfortunately, it didn't address this particular issue. If I can suggest this to the Numbers developers, where can I go?

The only workaround that I found is to use an auxiliary table in the sheet where you display the chart.
In this auxiliary table the used formula is:

I need help creating a formula that looksup cell data and give a value.
I want to have the table "At a glance" show the total days a driver has worked, there total in sales and there total in milage. The table shown is a example of what I want to have happen. I want to input any name into cell B2,C2,D2,ect. that is found in the row C2:C17 of Checkpoint (Truck 1) and Checkpoint (Truck 2) and return the total amount of day the driver has driven both trucks, The total in sales the driver has collected (Truck 1 and 2) and How many miles the driver has driven (Truck 1 and 2). I realize that these tables are not labeled correct. If I enter a name into B2 and the driver associated with that name hasnt driven then I want "N/A' to show in cell B2 and so one. I assume that the formula that is created for cell B2 will be copied and pasted into cell C2, D2, ect..
If someone could help me with this problem I'd really appreciate it.

To show the number of days worked by a driver, you need to COUNT the number of times that driver's name appears in row 2 of both tables.
To calculate his total sales and total mileage, you need to SUM the amounts he brought in each day and the distances he drove each day.
Your functions for this are COUNTIF and SUMIF.
Formulas in At a Glance:
B2: =COUNTIF(Truck 1 :: $3:$3,B$1)+COUNTIF(Truck 2 :: 3:3,B$1)
B3: =SUMIF(Truck 1 :: $3:$3,B$1,Truck 1 :: $5:$5)+SUMIF(Truck 2 :: $3:$3,B$1,Truck 2 :: $5:$5)
B4: =SUMIF(Truck 1 :: $3:$3,B$1,Truck 1 :: $12:$12)+SUMIF(Truck 2 :: $3:$3,B$1,Truck 2 :: $12:$12)
Fill all three formulas right to the last column of At a Glance.
To put N/A in place of the 0 in Roger's column and the empty columns, wrap each of the formulas in an IF statement:

Where formula is the formula used in column B above.

Need to create a transport of SD config data from DEV 120 to DEV 110
During our conversion some config modifications were mad in DEV 120 instead of DEV 110.
I need to get the config:
SPRO> Sales Distribution> Billing> Billing Documents> copy sales documents to Billing documents
From 120 to 110.
I have tried to force a transport creation in 120, and used SCC1 to import into 110, but no data comes over.
How can I force all the data from these config tables to load into a transport so can send from 120 to 110.

I would try bringing this transport in via STMS and then reviewing the import log to see why the data is not going across. What I've normally seen in this situation is the data was not correctly added to the transport before it was imported.
I would NOT copy config tables back from the QAS system. Copying select portions of config data from one system to another is likely to break all sorts of logical relationships between tables.
Have you guys tried running a config comparison between 110 and 120 to see what the actual differences are?

I have a requirement where in which I need to create a waterfall chart. In this chart we need the sales value for a Brand for two years, (say 2010 and 2009) and also need to plot the growth of the various sub-brands that come under that brand. Some dummy

In my chart it has to be a vertical bar chart, 1st line should be MAT 09, then the growth values should be plotted, but the axis for that will not be 0, rather start at the value of MAT09.
I am unable to paste a dummy chart here. :(
Can anyone throw any inputs as to how it can be achieved.

LorenzoIn the example, several cars are ranked based on fuel efficiency. To create the same plot in Numbers:
List the cars in Column A (the header column)
Put 1990 in cell B1 and 1995 in cell C1 (the header row)
Fill in the rankings for each car and each year
Select all the rankings and create a line chart.
Your chart won't be quite right yet, one more step to go.
Your table should have the data and headers selected right now with the headers in black. If not, click on the chart to get it that way. Click the three vertical lines in the upper right.
That should be it other than the usual adjustments like number of steps, min/max ,title, etc.
