I need to refresh an application

i need to refresh an application after an entry to a database
is made....i know its not the right thing to do but im having
trouble refreshing a tile component and its working after i refresh
the whole app but not if just re-instantiate the component. is
there an easy way to do this or maybe could i just redirect back to
the app's url??

Need to Refresh to Watch Movies...

I need to refresh the page after loading the full movie to watch it. Clips like Apple Ads are one of the examples. I have tried to use the solution from http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5908684&#5908684. But I can't find the line "<key>application/x-shockwave-flash</key>", so it doesn't work. The movies seem to be doing fine in firefox though...

It is known to work in the great majority of cases with Safari 3.0.4, QT 7.3 and OS 10.4.11. (If you are running Leopard, ensure that all plug-ins have been updated for OS 10.5)
Assuming you already run Tiger versions OS 10.4.9 or above (this has not yet been verified with Leopard) and have Quicktime 7.2 or above, and are using Safari 2 or 3, download and install (or re-install even if you already had them) the latest versions, suitable for your flavor of Mac, of:

In earlier versions than QT 7.1.3 in Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
You should also ensure, if you are running Tiger 10.4.11 or Leopard, that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2007-009, which also deals with the Quicktime/Flash issues you may have experienced, such as the '?'. What happened was that both Quicktime as well as Adobe FlashPlayer tried to play the Flash video at the same time. This no longer happens. (N.B. Security Update 2007-009 requires both a restart and a permission repair.)

In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them).
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.
You should also consider having the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.

Help Needed in Refreshing Page.

I have an application with 2 pages.
1st page has radiogroup with submit (P1_RADIO). Based on selection of the radio button, some text field will appear (P1_ID). User has to enter value and hit SUBMIT button. I have one branch unconditional to page 1 itself. One more branch to page 2 when button pressed = SUBMIT.
When submit button is pressed, it will take user to page 2, where I have written before header process for exporting data to csv (Used Scotts custom export to csv method).
Now the new additional requiremnt is that, when user enters value in P1_ID and hits enter, the same functionality as hitting SUBMIT button must take place. Any ideas on how to achieve this?
I have already thought/tried the following:
1) Text (which submits when enter pressed is not working - as I cannot pass any request to it and hence cannot give a branch to page 2)
2) I gave a hidden field PI_CAPTURE_ENTER and assigned value of ENTER to it, if P1_ID is not null. Then I wrote a conditional branch to Page 2 , if :P1_CAPTURE_ENTER = 'ENTER'.
In Page 2, I cleared the P1_ID after running the csv process. This works properly.
But only problem is that even though session state for page 1 shows cleared data, I need to refresh the page 1 manually, if I need to run some other option in radiogroup. (If I do not refresh the page 1, the next time I hit radiogroup, P1_CAPTURE_ENTER will still = 'ENTER' and redirects to page 2)
How can I overcome this?
Or are there any other ideas by which i can achieve what is actualy needed?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have explained it in my first post, but will elaborate it again. (Oh btw I tried accessing apex.oracle.com to login to my id, but Page is down currently)
I have an application with 2 pages.

User enters 'Sumana' in PI_ID and hits SUBMIT button. This redirects to page to, where I have used behore header process to export to csv. (Used Scotts custom export to csv method).

I need to refresh the data in test box with the production database.
I dont have the dblink. Please advise me the fastest method to refresh the data in test server.

What do you mean by "I dont have the dblink" ? That you do not have access to the database ? OR that you do not have access to documentation on how to refresh a database ?
If you need to refresh a schema alone, you could use Export-Import. If you need to refresh the whole database, I would advice using Backup and Restore -- either using scripted backups or RMAN.
Note : If the application has setup tables that store database name, node name, port number etc, you will need to update those tables in the refreshed database (else they will still point to the production database !).

Needs a background webdynpro application running at the server side

We have a requirement wherein we need to have an application running all the time at the server side to capture the response coming from a web application. Based on the response that the application receives, it needs to update some backend R/3 tables.
We are thinking of a webdynpro java application.
Can anyone suggest what kind of application needs to be implemented here?
And what would be the steps required to run the application at the server side without calling the application.

This may sound silly to you but I've another doubt which is as follows:
As you mentioned that the external web application will be sending requests to our Web service(in SOAP envelopes) and rest of the functionality can be achieved by our web service.
Actually, we are expecting only responses from the external web application. The thing is that we are sending the requests to the external web applications from our custom webdynpro application and in return the web application will be sending us 2 responses.
First response would be back to our WD java application URL(to the browser in which WD java app is running) which would get the response and display some message based on the response.
Second would be to this web service which you have just suggested. We are having two responses so that even if the browser in which the WD java application is running gets accidentally closed, the response from the external web application must get captured somewhere else and should not get lost in any case.
So, now since we are only expecting the response from the web application and we do not want any requests from the web application to our web service; how is this possible?
I am asking the above question because you have mentioned that the external web application has to request our Web service but we want is only this web service to capture the response coming from the Web application.
Or is it like the web application will send us the response string as request string to our Web Service and the web service will capture these response parameters as request parameters from the web application and do the further processing.
But in that case, we do not want any response to be sent by the Web Service to the external web application.
Please suggest if this is possible.

I will say that when I downloaded the demo the center button didn't work, but a very quick & courteous reply from their tech support suggested:
In terminal, can you try entering this command: "rm ~/Library/Preferences/.MagicalWizard.plist". Then, relaunch MouseWizard.
I did this & now I have center button nirvana! (Mouse Wizard also supports a version of the squeeze button (they call it fourth button) and squeeze/bloat gestures.)
So far so good--it's made me much happier with my magic mouse.

Hello, I had an Adobe Muse membership and I have changed it to a full Adobe Creative cloud membership. The problem is when I login in to business catalyst and try to push live a second site, it tells me as follows: Your Adobe Creative Cloud Membership has reached its limit for hosted sites.
I think business catalyst has not recognize jet that I have change my Adobe Creative Cloud Membership and does not allow me access to the 5 sites that are supposed to come with my adobe creative cloud.
Please help me refresh my status on business catalyst so I can publish my 5 sites.

You must update the apps with the Apple ID that they are purchased with.
The only way to get round this is to re-purchase the app with the new Apple ID.

I already answered that. If you purchased a Suite then you can only install and activate it on two machines. Even if you only insdtall one of the applications of that suite, it counts as one activation of the suite. You cannot take the six or seven different applications that might be in a suite and install and activate them in six or seven different machines... only two machines.
If your scenario will allow for it, one thing you can do is install the programs on all the different machines and only activate two of the machines at any given time. If you need to activate a program on a third machine then you need to deactivate on one of the currently activate machines first so that you have an open activation to use again. I do not remember if there is a limit to the total number of activations you can process for the life of the software.

Is not necesary to refresh infoprovider.
1.- Change attribute in master data from only attribute to navigational.
2.- Set navigational attribute as navigational in all infoproviders in the multiprovider.
