I don't suspect Malware yet, Id guess Disk corruption or failing Hard Drive with Files not found.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Plugins usually are installed externally to Firefox. However, you can disable them in Firefox so that Firefox does not use them.
SearchReset is supposed to automate the task of resetting certain preferences, but you still can edit them manually if necessary.

Usually it works to choose your preferred search engine from the drop-down. To remove an unwanted search engine plugin, usually the Manage Search Engines... choice at the bottom of the drop-down takes care of it.

There might be another way to hijack that search box; I think some of the other frequent responders probably are more familiar with it than I am. -
My Ipod Shuffle requires Itunes 10 but with my Mac OS 10.4.11 I can not run itunes 10. Is there another way to load this ipod shuffle without updating to Snow Leapord?
Sorry Glen, but there is not. And you don't have to upgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard). You need at a minimum of 10.5.8 (Leopard).

You don't tell us what version of Office for Mac you presently have, but I'm guessing it might be Office for Mac 2004. If so, in addition to the suggestion to download OpenOffice you can purchase the most recent version of Office for Mac 2011 directly from MS <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/buy>. You can also purchase Pages productivity suite from the Mac App Store <http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id409201541?mt=12>.

You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc. -
I just tried to update my iPhone 4 and it said it was successful, but now I have a message (USB icon - arrow- iTunes icon) that is frozen? I have turned off the phone, unplugged USB and reconnected and closed out of iTunes and back in. Any suggestions?

You can initiate a download of the install files for Photoshop CS6 within the Adobe Download Assistant. Once you sign in you can select the product you wish to download from the bottom portion of the screen.

Pages, Numbers and Keynote won't update. App Store says update was applied, but when I open Pages/Number/Keynote, the version of it shows the old version.
When you updated, the old version remained on your Mac, in a subfolder within Applications named iWork '09. Any icons you have on the Dock still point to that old version. Try opening the Numbers that is located in your main Applications folder, not the one in the subfolder. If that works, then drag that one to the Dock.

My husband originally bought the Scrabble app for his iPhone. I downloaded it onto my iPad and used it, successfully, for 1 day. Since then, when I try to open it, it starts to load and then shuts down and goes back to the main screen. PLEASE, someone, help me with this problem.
Try closing the Scrabble app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Scrabble app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Scrabble app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If neither of the above fix it then you could try deleting it and re-sync or re-download it via the Purchased tab. -
My Ipod touch 4.2 will say it is connected to the wi fi but when I try and use it with an app it says it is not connected to the internet

Help, please!! I recently upgraded to a new Iphone 4S from a 3..I could not upgrade the software so plugged it into my pc and connected to Itunes. It asked me if I wanted to use it as a new phone or restore to my phone, (not being very computer literate, I of course chose restore) So now I have a phone that only has info for contacts from October!! I lost all new contacts, messages, etc. Is there a way to get back those contacts, etc? Thanks!

Using Firefox 27.0.1. Suddenly firefox always wants to be on top. I do not know why this is happening now. The only fix I can find is advice to reset firefox. But I am having to reset firefox every week. This is unacceptable. I'm about to throw up my hands and find another web browser. Can someone please suggest another solution?

You can erase your phone. That's really your only option. You can reboot it while holding down the home button and it should go into DFU mode.
You also must reset your Apple ID password. Hopefully you have a good backup, and you should use better passwords and/or get better friends. -
Had to create a new AppleId because the old one that I had was linked to my daughters IPhone account now that was successful I'm having trouble setting up a new iCloud account under my new apple ID due to it not transferring.
If you have both already been syncing data to the same account and now have merged data, you would have to set up a new account with your new ID, migrate a copy of the data to the new account, then eliminate your daughter's data from your account and vice versa.
To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up the new iCloud account on this phone using the other Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing for for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting your daughter's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.
