I purchased a MacBook Pro from AAFES, how long will it take to ship?
Does anyone know how long it takes for an order to be processed, when purchased through AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service)? It says that the order was received by the vendor but no other updates. The AAFES order number isn't giving me updates on the apple site.

The number of options on the latest MacBooks has been reduced. I would be surprised if the MacBook you want is not already in stock in the three closest Apple store in Maryland. (You may have to load extra software yourself, but that is really not very onerous.)
If you are seeing stockouts at your local Apple stores, that sometimes means a new model is imminent (sometimes it means nothing at all).

I've just done the update directly on my iPhone from 7.0.4 to 7.0.6 and it took 15 minutes from start to finish - on my iPad yesterday it was similar.
However you do the update, directly on your iPad or via your computer's iTunes (via your computer will be slower), then copy your purchases over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and take a backup of your iPad - and preferably copy any important documents and/or photos off as well so that you have your own copy of them (the update should go smoothly, but it's best to be safe) -

Apple's delivery informatin is here - basically they say 3 to 5 business days for production plus shippin gtime based on your choice of shipping - my personal experiance has been that this is a conservative estimate but I am in CA

Did you try unplugging the power cord for a few seconds, then plugging it back in? That usually fixes similar problems for me.

And for an equally fast computer with good processing speed the installation would not take more than 5 minutes. -
I just got a new iMac. was following the onscreen instructions to do migration assistance and I guess it connected to my old iMac via wi fi. It never instructed me to connect via firewire. Normally activation should only be a matter of minutes, but if your iTunes library (where you're trying to activate the phone) is in a place where you have no cell service, it will not activate until you take it to a place where you do have service.
So if it is sitting idle and not activating that could be a reason (happened to me). If you're a Verizon customer you may have to dial *228, then press 1 to finish the activation. -

How long will what take? You should leave the phone in rice for at least 4-5 days. At that point, plug the phone in and let it charge for about 15 minutes and see if it turns on. Accept the fact your phone will probably never work properly again.
