Hi, I recently discovered my ipod touch would no longer turn on. I've tried everything! All it does is show the low battery sign, and that is if it's connected to a computer. No matter how long I leave it charging, it does that. Is there a way to fix it? All I want are my contacts and my old calendar back. These did not sync with iTunes like my photos, music, and video. I can probably get an older, replacement iPod, but I don't want to have to readd all my important dates and reminders, as well as contact information. I guess I have two questions:
1) is there a way to get my ipod to start working again?
2) is there a way to get my old contacts and calendar back again?

Try here:

iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
To get the calender and contacts back if you can't get the iPod working is to restore the new iPod from the backup of the old one.

  • My ipad will not charge up. it just shows the red battery signal and then switches off

my ipad will not charge up. it just shows the red battery signal and then switches off. The same charger succesfully charges other idas so i know it is no the charger that is faulty.Any suggestions

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • I am unable to change my credit card number, because my profile shows United States therefore it does not accept the phone area code, and zip number, because I live in Switzerland. Please inform me how to do it. Many thanks.

I am unable to change my credit card number because my apple profile shows me as a resident of the United States, although I live in Switzerland. Consequently I cannot edit my area code, zip number, State info, etc. Please advise me how to do it. Many thanks.

    Hello Luis,
To update your billing information, you would need to change your iTunes Store country to be able to enter the information for Switzerland.  I found an article with the steps to update this:
    Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

  • Firefox 4 does not show the current browsing history, and I cannot acess my privacy tab in the options

My browsing history is incomplete, it only shows through August. I also cannot access the privacy tab in the options folder, nor can I click on the stop private browsing.

Maybe your Trend Micro took over the Privacy tab in Options?
Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    * You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."''
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

  • IPod touch 4g won't turn on at all! How do I fix it?

A couple of days ago I was using an app on my iPod and it ran out of battery. I went and plugged it in and went away for a few minutes. When I came back, I was surprised to find it hand't booted (and it wasn't still booting). Also, it wasn't showing the 'low battery but charging' picture or even the 'low battery and not charging' picture. I tried holding down the power and home buttons for as long as I could (still plugged in). Thinking it might be in DFU mode or something, I booted up my computer and plugged it it; however, it failed to register it's existance.
Any ideas how to fix it? I've already sent a service request to apple, but before I send it off does anyone know how to fix it?

Last, try placing the iPod in DFU mode.

  • My iPod Touch (3G) won't turn on?

I've owned my iPod Touch since June 30th, 2010 (a little over a year). I am no longer under the warranty, so I know that if my iPod is broken, I will have to pay. My iPod has been dropped several times, it has cracks in the screen, but the screen hasn't chipped away like others. It's never been dropped in water, so I don't think water is the problem. I'm also positive the headphone jack is broken, as several pairs of working headphones have not worked on it unless a decent amount of pressure is applied. Anyways, back to the major problem. My iPod will not turn on. I'll hold the power and home button, and the apple logo will come up, but it won't take me to the lock screen, it will simply go black again. It won't charge at all, and the only time I can successfully turn it on is when the iPod is "charging". However, the second I unplug it, it goes all black. All help is appreciated!! Thanks!

Same problem here - Ipod touch 3G won't turn on. I've tried reseting - but absolutely no response and when I try to restore, before it completes the restore, error 1600 comes up. This is my daughter's ipod and we've tried all of this after plugging in to a wall charger overnight and then using a pc and then mac and still nothing. Any suggestions?
