I started having having issues when off my imac

Hi everybody my name is agustin. I'm a new owner of an 21.5 inch 2011 iMac with 500gb. I have been using it for about a month without any problem and i was incredibly satisfied with the product i bought till now. Well actually I stil am satisfied but I am having an iimportant issue i think.
Well let me explain: everything started with an upgrade, the system detected there was an upgrade available and asked me if i wanted to download it so i clicked yes it started to download it as usual and i hadnt noticed anything wierd, then it was everithing the same a it was some weeks before with an other upgrade. But then when the computer had to reboot it got stuck at the point of turning the imac off, so I waited about half an hour thinking it was part ofthe upgrade. But I started warring as i read on the internet that it shouldnt take so long. So I picked up the imac instructions where i saw i couod turn it of by holding the power button for about 10 seconds. So thats what i did and it worked. Then i didnt have any problem till jet. Today my imac asied me again if i wanted to male the upgrade, so i clicked on later, cause i wanted to read about it before risking my selfe to hace that expierence again. So I continued using it normally for some hours untill I finally decidied to turn it off. And this time happened the same as the first time and i waited lots of minutes untill i decided to turn it off that ugly way again.
So i am starting to worry i have no idea what it is and what i might do. If anyone coild help me I would be more than gratefull with him.

You can turn off "Reopen windows when logging back in" by un-checking the box that appears when you shut down:
To check the updates that you installed go to System Preferences > Software Update, and check the tab "Installed Software":
Verify the last update was for Mac OS X. If it is something else, what was it?

That is possible, but normally the program will cancel the shutdown with a dialog box identifying the program. Try this: next time you start the computer hold the ⌘ and V keys at the same time until you see a lot of white text on a black background. You can ignore it. After a moment your normal login screen will appear. Log in and use the computer normally. (This is called "verbose mode".)
When you shut down the opposite will happen: you will see white text appear as the shutdown sequence progresses. If a process is taking a very long time to terminate, you will have time to read the text that appears and write it down. If it is obvious what is taking so long, post the text that appears.

I am having issues when I shoot raw + jpeg. It seems the raw files get corrupted. I have shot raw without an issue. It is only when I shoot raw + jpeg. The raw files will not show in Photoshop elements. I installed the Canon software and was able to see all the raw files; however, I noticed that when I tried to view some full screen they would not show. I also noticed that these raw files look block-ish. They appear more digital looking. Is there a specail card needed to shoot raw + jpeg? I formatted the ones that I have prior to using them.

While it could certainly be a card-reader problem, data corruption of any kind can be any of the following:
1) the card
2) the cable (if used)
3) the card reader (if used)
4) the computer RAM,
5) thecomputer hard drive (or SSD)
A failure of any one of the above will result in corrupted images when viewed. Since it seems to be RAW file related, as they are signifantly larger than JPGs, it's likely anything but the card reader or cable.
The only way to 'beat it' is eliminate each of the possibilities, starting with the easiest/cheapest fix.
1) Use the cable. If that solves the problem, replace the card reader.
2) Use a different card. If that solves it, toss the old card.
3) If multiple sticks of internal computer RAM, swap them. If that fixes it, or, the problem 'moves' to other images, replace the RAM. It could be only 1 of 2 sticks bad, though, so use only 1 of the old sticks for a while to see if the problem recurs.
4) If you have multiple hard drives in your computer, or an external one, use that to store the photos for a while. If the problems go away, it's the drive. Note that hard drive failures typically start slowly and increase gradually. On occassion, though, your computer won't boot and it's all over. If you are down to thinking it's the hard drive, it's time to get a good backup...NOW!
For what it's worth, I had a similar problem with corrupted photos. Both RAW and JPGs were affected. But as the problems were after having loaded and initially viewed them on my HD, I knew it was a computer problem. It dogged me for a couple of weeks. I even played swap the memory sticks, pull one out and run on one only, swap the one for the other (running on one), and it STILL kept happening. I finally gave up and replaced both sticks of RAM. That solved the problem. So much for lifetime warranty from Hong Kong. A very well regarded brand of RAM, no less. My SSD drive was the next one on the list, it the new RAM didn't solve it.

Having issues when try to burn a disc., which I never had an issue doing. Yesterday when I tried to burn a playlist it says "checking media" but just sits there. I know drive is working because I can put in a purchased cd and can import it into my library, but now it just sits there and hums until I maually eject the disc.Before all this started it said something about that I should "calibrate disc", since then it won't let me do any burning. I can't find any options in " preferences to change anything except the burn speed. Any suggestions? Tried rebooting, tried using my wifes iTunes on same comptuer.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

I did not restore my new phone from back up because I did not realize I needed to restore and not just activitate it. How can I save the new photos, apps, and other stuff but retrieve the old photos?

If all you want is your old photos, you could backup your new phone using iTunes, then restore it from your iCloud backup, import the old photos to your computer, then restore it from the backup your made in iTunes returning your newer data to your phone. If you want your old photos on your phone, sync them there from your computer using iTunes. The process would look like this:
Connect your phone to your computer, when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on it and select Transfer Purchases; right-click again and select Backup.
Disconnect from your computer and go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings to return it to new
Go through the activation setup, choosing to Restore from iCloud backup. Make sure your phone is plugged into a charger and has access to wi-fi as this can take hours to complete.
When complete, without connecting your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to Preferences. On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Now import the old photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
When done, open iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose the backup you made in step 1.
Go to the Photos tab and select the photos you want to sync to your phone and sync.

I tried to search through the community, but with the sheer volume of posts, I didn't find anything that seemed like the same issue.

I haven't tried wired ear phones, but I am sure they'll be the same way.
It's very random, but consistent enough to happen several times per day.

Well there you go, when you advertise it just be sure to say that you can't even see the scratches at half brightness and see how it goes.
Of course you are saying you want $500 for one with many scratches on the screen, has been dropped, but the scratches aren't visible at half brightness, and has no warranty. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for a used model with your specs in perfect condition. But yours is far from perfect. I think your high point is $250 which is why I said 50%.

Is anyone else having issues when clicking in Report a problem link it it default back to the main screen? I have 4 unauthorised purchases on my account totalling over $350 and i need this rectified ASAP!

Apple checked the phone and it checked out ok fine. This issue happened only twice (just before I took it to Apple). It has not happened since. I was told that it was probably NOT a heat issue because I WOULD get a message on the screen warning me about heat. I have never received such a message but co-workers have.
Anyway, seems to be gone whatever the issue was. Now I have AirPort Extreme issues. Appointment made.

It sounds like you may be having issues with the connectivity of your iPhone with the Bluetooth in your vehicle. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting that Bluetooth connectivity with your iOS device:
If you can’t use a Bluetooth accessory or car kit
To resolve the issue, you'll need to first sign in to iCloud and review your devices:
Sign in to iCloud on your iOS devices and Macs with OS X Yosemite (available this fall).
On one of your devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth and look under My Devices. You'll see all devices that are connected to Bluetooth, but make sure that you see your Apple devices that are signed in to iCloud and are using iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite.
Sign out of your iCloud account from any devices that you don't want to use. To sign out of iCloud on an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out.
Then, remove any inactive devices from iCloud:
Sign in to iCloud.com.
Select Find My iPhone.
Select any devices that aren't active anymore.
Wait for Find My iPhone to stop trying to find the inactive device.
You should see the option to remove this device from your account. Select it to remove the device.
After following the steps above, restart the device with the issue. Then try to use it with your Bluetooth accessory.

Recently started having issues with WiFi

Recently I started having serious issues with Wifi. I fixed it kind of by turning off iTunes iCloud backup, but generally the signal is low. As an iOS 5 tester in the Apple Developer program, I tested it for months on my iPod without any problems. When I got my 4S, I never had a problem with it until just a few days ago.
A friend of mine said she was also having the same problem. She claimed she turned off iCloud backup as I did, turn off both WiFi on her Mac and on her phone and reboot both. I did this. Then I turned them back on. She also suggested I forget the network and re-enter the security key. That done, it connected and had a stronger signal. After a while though, it continues to drop peareoticly. I notice that it stay's connected a lot longer now. Another friend also suggested I turn off bluetooth, although that didn't really help much. What seems to fix it tempararly is iCloud backups have to go off.
The Mac is still working great. No stupid connection errors and or dropping. I'd be curious to see if I would be having this problem with my iPod Touch. Probably not.
Anyone find any deffinate solutions to this?

Anyone else having issues when streaming from veetle using safari over wifi?

I like many others have been having issues with my wifi on my iPhone 5 (sometimes when connected to wifi it just freezes up and I need to do a reboot or reset network settings to get it back up and running). In any case, that wasn't bothering me too much but I've noticed now that the veetle web site that I use sometimes to stream shows from on my iPhone stops showing video after a few seconds when using wifi. If i switch to my LTE connection or 3G it works fine but it's only when running with wifi that it has a problem. It will begin to stream a show properly then after a few seconds the video will cut out though the sound keeps playing. My iPad doesn't exhibit the same problems and can stream from veetle perfectly over my wifi. Anyone else out there having similar issues? This will be annoying if i'm travelling out the country and depending solely on wifi for my data and not being able to stream sports and tv shows from Veetle. Just wanted to see how commonplace this problem was. Thanks

All spring and summer Netflix/fios has been a problem. I have used a tool that goes beyond simple speed tests and gets to dividing up thE problem. It appears that the problems reside with fios, however true to form Verizon repair denies any problem (go figure) .

Anyone else having issues when returning phones after warranty replacement?

Just looking for some feedback, curious if anyone else has dealt with similar issues and what the outcome was...Last week Tuesday evening, October 1st, 2013, I went into my local Verizon store because i was having problems with my phone not charging. They told me there was an issue with the charging port and that they were offering an open enrollment on equipment protection plan and I could get a replacement phone shipped out to me within 2 business days if i enrolled for $10.00 a month. Now mind you I had an upgrade available at the time but was waiting for the Galaxy Note 3 to come out on the 6th. They assured me that it wouldn't effect my upgrade and i could transfer over the insurance to the new device when i upgrade, so not wanting to go a week or so without a phone i agreed and i received the phone promptly in 2 days like they said. Now this is where the problem comes in. I put the phone to be sent back in the box after switching out the battery and sim as instructed and applied the return label that came in the box, and took the box with me to the post office and sent it out. Now today I went to the Verizon store to upgrade to the note 3 but was denied because Verizon is claiming that they have not received the phone that i sent back and they are unable to track it. It seems to me that they should've received it already, and if not they should at least be able to track it by the bar code on the shipping label. I spoke to a rep and he's looking into it and is supposed to get back to me next week, but being a little concerned i googled "verizon warranty return issues" and came across a number of sites such as po'd comsumer.com and a few others where people claim they had the same problem and their phone was never found and Verizon held them responsible and charged them the $400 some dollars or whatever the phones were worth. Anyone here have similar issues???

There are hundreds of other posts on here with similar issues. I myself have had an issue similar but was only able to resolve it as I sent the phone back under my own FedEx Label and not Verizons. The label Verizon sends you the only one that can track is Verizon. And they will not. They also use a hybrid shipping USPS - FedEx or Fedex - USPS. Sending these under your own FedEx label the contract is between You and FedEx only.
That said, they started off saying I never returned the phone. I proved them incorrect with the Signature from FedEx. Then they said the box was empty, I proved them wrong with the weight from FedEx. They they said I sent the incorrect phone back in and gave me the MEI of what i supposedly sent. Proved them wrong as I was holding thae MEI in my hand. They ran out of scripted reasons that what I sent was wrong so I simply told them I would file a theft claim with FedEx and they can investigate, and I was filing a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission. They transferred me to a Supervisor, and the Supervisor went through the exact same script and at the end put me on hold for a few minutes and finally came back to state they were able to find the correct return that they had logged it in with an incorrect date.

Having issues when adding transitions to FCP7

Hey, I'm editing a short film and I've been having some issues whenever i add in a transition (cross/dissolve) to any of the clips and go to play them back it has a glitch, not very familiar with FCP a complete newbie at this..Tried exporting it out to qt and the glitches got even worse...it totally freezes up and throws off the audio track completely or it will stay frozen but the audio keeps playing. I'm fairly new to this program and so i may not have the correct terminology but could really use some help.. This is my final project for graduation and right now i'm pretty stuck any help would be greatly appreciated. I included a few screen shots to explain what actually happens as the video plays out. Oh before I export it when i'm working on it on FCP it doesnt look that bad, it just kinda jumps a bit when the scene with the transition plays.

Having issues when connecting and re-connecting back to a session.

When i am log-on to the MPS2012 through the thin client and let say there was a need to re-connect because of power issue or the network issue for that particular client was disconnected; So when the user connect back to it, it bounces back and fails for
re-login, after re-logging again, it still bounce back. And other client connect to the particular VM are still connected and running.
And also in the morning, when i connect, it fails at times and when i ping that particular VM, it times out"Request time out", until i restart it before it start replying and then the client systems will now be able to connect.
Its giving me concern because they are complaining and also its a school environment. I need resolve this so that even if i am not there they will be able to connect easily and re-connect easily if there was a disconnection from any thin client.
Please i will really appreciate if anyone can assist me resolve any of this issue or what the cause/problem is.

Delete project ender files.
Create a new project.
Copy the problem project and paste into the new project.
Test a title.
