I switched to the american itunes to download a song and rent a movie and now it won't let me switch back! Help!
I'm from Germany and live in America right now. To download a song that wasn't available in the German store, I switched to the American store and downloaded the song and rented a movie with the credit card # of my host dad (with his permission, btw). Now I want to switch back to my credit card and the German itunes, and it won't let me cause there's an unexpired rental. the movie i rented expired last week. What can I do?????
What does " it won't Let me get on my own apple id account" mean?

Did you remove the entries from your library, or just the physical files?
Delete the entries, close and reopen iTunes, select iTunes Store in the left column, then Purchased in the quick links section. Your missing songs should be listed under Music > Not on his Computer.

Hi, I rented a movie off iTunes but the there is no sound. I've bought and rented previous movies and I've never had any problems with the sound before. Is this some kind of glitch? How can I get my money back?

I couldn't get the blurry letters to take even though I entered them right. So I checked the help button. But, no one has responded. I tried to go back into the sync screen but it says my email address is invalid. How can I set up my mobile?

The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work. Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them. The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps. -
Message saying cant connect to iTunes. I've tried ipad, iPhone, mac a d all the same. I've reset router/ broadband connection and I've tested which is all fine. It's just iTunes I can't connect to - I've signed out and it won't now let me sign back in. Please help!!

On my iPad mini for the iTunes top chart I by accident switched it to audiobooks and now I can't go back to music. What should I do?
If the other top chart options and/or tabs in the iTunes store aren't working then have you tried closing the iTunes app via the multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iTunes app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

If you're trying to pull a movie off a commercial DVD, into iTUnes so you can sync it you can't.
First, the iPad usually wants .mp4 files, which dvd's aren't. Second, most commercial dvd's have encryption on them to prevent copying, which is probably what's getting in your way. Since breaking that encryption is illegal in the US, the terms of use here forbids anyone to tell you how to break that encryption. You'd need to search elsewhere and find that answer on your own.
For most people, purchasing a copy from iTunes or other source is usually the easiest and most time efficient thing to do. It can literally take hours to search out, rip and convert a commercial DVD. In a fraction of that time you can download a legal copy. -
I cannot get rented itunes movies to play on my appletv. It keeps getting stuck on the "Authorizing.." screen. Movie loaded fine; however, would not start playing. I have an ethernet cable plugged in, so wireless connectivity strength is a non-issue. Any suggestions??
I have had this identical issue (on an Apple TV3) and was helped by Apple Support who guided me to go to the Settings Menu on the Apple TV and did a RESET. You will need to re connect to your WIFI and your iTunes account (passwords etc).

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
Cheers.You canot easily change your country settings. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Go to settings and click in iTunes and apps then click on iTunes Match it should tell you that you will need to switch press yes this should take you back to your original setting

Please help,why cant i download a song in the american itunes store?
i have wanted this bloody song for ages and now i have found it the bloody site will not let me download it. the song is metalingius by alter bridge and i found it in the american itunes but still can not download it. it is not on the uk itunes list and i dont know why, if it is on the american one why not the uk one?
This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: the content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Store you wish to use. So in order to buy from another country's iTunes Store, you must (as proof of residence) have either:
a) a credit card issued by a bank in that country with a billing address also in that country, or
b) a mailing address for your residence in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
This, again, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.
As to why it's in the US iTunes Store and not in the UK iTunes Store, it's undoubtedly because the holders of the UK distribution rights haven't granted Apple the right to sell the track in the UK. -
