I think the BT Wholesale Checker is incorrect, who...

I have had engineers from CASS outside my property throughout 2012, blowing fibre from a nearby village, wiring up FTTP to the telegraph pole outside my drive and doing final testing.  I became quite friendly with these engineers and they kept me updated with the problems the install was undergoing and the fact that they were all now resolved and signed off by BT.
This was back in October 2012 and since then I've been calling BT Business and Residential broadband trying to order Infinity, only to be told that their system shows my house isn't ready for it.
The Wholesale checker only shows slow ADSL services but also states "Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:- Single Dwelling Unit Residential."
Our line is connected to the Caxton exchange, which the OpenReach checker shows as Accepting Orders for fibre broadband.
There is a slight complication in that our line to the house is a business one, so I realise I may need to order Infinity as a separate residential service, but that wouldn't be a problem.
I phoned CASS directly and they were as helpful as they could be, and assured me that the work had all been tested and signed off and that our house should show up as Infinity ready soon on the BT system, but obviously they can't help any further.
When I call OpenReach they pretty much refuse to speak to me.
When I call BT they have been mostly unhelpful, simply saying that if our house isn't showing as ready on their system there is nothing they can do.
Today I got put through to a lady called Gina though who was very patient and tried to help as best as she could. BT  have now contacted OpenReach on my behalf, asking what the status is with my house. They've told me that hopefully OpenReach will contact me within 48 hours.
So, my problem, in a nutshell, is that the fibre engineers assure me my house has been cabled up correctly for FTTP for months, but I can't find anyone at BT to explain to me why I can't place an order.
Hopefully OpenReach will give me a call, but my suspicion is that even if they do they will just refer me back to BT.
Any advice greatly appreciated,
/\dam

For FTTP you need to order the following: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/broadband/faster-internet
It's called BT Infinity 160Mb, you can order it using the following link: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/broadband/packages?fttp=yes
You can still order the 40 and 80 package with FTTP.
BT Infinity 160 is the only FTTP package that BT Retail provide
Well, I read you can order it. Though that was about on-demand but seems stupid you cannot order 40/80 if you are FTTP at the moment.

  • The BT Wholesale speedtest is wrong,I think.

When I use the BT Wholesale speedtester it is giving me readings of:

    Upload 7.6Mbps [incorrect]
    Ping 17.9ms [incorrect]
On speedtester.net and other testers it is reading:

    Upload 17.6Mbps [correct]

I think the BT tester is putting the upload reading and the ping reading into the wrong lines.?

About time! The Java requirement was putting a lot of machines at risk. At least Adobe Flash keeps itself up-to-date.

  • I keep getting the error message on my MP510, the type of printhead is incorrect install the correct

Recently my printer stopped printing black, although it would print the other colors. When I tried to print a print pattern, it would not print the checkered pattern it used to print to check the alignment. I tried cleaning, to no avail. Then I got the message: the type of printhead is incorrect, install the correct printhead on my control panel. Now when I turn on the unit, I can't do any maintenance or anything, it just shows the same error message as noted. I talked to a Canon representative, and he said to clean the printhead, I did. That did not help. My questions are, is the printhead bad. Second, it would seem I can replace the printhead. Just what is the likelyhood the printhead is the probnlem, or is this problem a problem that can only be curred by a service tech? Canon informs me this printer is not serviceable anylonger? So, I guess I'm on my own? They offer a deal on another printer at a reduced price. Frankly, I don't think my printer needs to be replaced, just fixed. If all that it requires is a printhead, I'm sure I can do the replacement. Just what are the odds replacing the printhead will solve the problem? I'm quite certain this error message has occured before on this type of printer, and other users have probably figured out the solution? Can someone help? Thank you.
    Rick

    Hi sciencemagic,
The major cause for this type of error/issue is the printhead.  In most situations, replacing the printhead will resolve the problem.  However, the error may appear because of another internal malfunction with the printer.
Another thing to consider is the cost of a replacement printhead, which may exceed the cost of purchasing a newer printer.  With the newer printer you also get access to newer printing features and technology including better image quality.
For these reasons, I recommend exploring the replacement option, but we are happy to help with any available service options for your PIXMA MP510.  Contact us to discuss your options further.

  • Replication issues: Operations Master shows ERROR and attempting to connect to server shares gets "the target account name is incorrect"

I think this should be easily resolved, but I need some guidance.
I have a client with 2 Server 2003 R2 x64 DCs: BORIS & NATASHA. Last year I upgraded both of them from x86 to x64 one at a time, allowing replication to occur between the upgrades. BORIS is the FSMO roles holder as it is currently the production server,
while NATASHA is a backup DC. One thing that puzzles me though is that if I look at the NS record in DNS on the SOA tab, it says NATASHA is the Primary server.
While doing some routine maintenance I noticed an error in the File Replication Service events about a 'Tombstone' situation (Event ID 2042). I looked at article cc757610 in the Technet Library and opted for remedy #3 as I did not want to demote NATASHA
and I got confused looking at the help about using "repadmin /removelingeringobjects". I have no idea how to determine which DC has the good copy of the directory.
Now, in running "repadmin /showrepl" I get
    "DC=CPA,DC=local
        Default-First-Site-Name\BORIS via RPC
            DC object GUID: 0267a090-1890-40e2-9a15-ea928cabd425

1179 consecutive failure(s).        Last success @ 2012-12-21 23:30:15." <-- THIS IS WEIRD SINCE THIS IS THE DATE THAT I DISCOVERED THE TOMBSTONE EVENT AND MADE THE REGISTRY CHANGE
    (I THINK).
When I try to look at the FSMO roles on NATASHA, it shows ERROR for RID, PDC & Infrastructure and says "The current Operations Master is offline. The role cannot be transferred." The other issue I'm having is that client PCs are intermittently having
trouble reconnecting to necessary server shares.

    Hello Sandesh,
I spent a lot of time trying to understand using NETDOM to reset machine account passwords (don't understand it yet), but I see that you're saying that won't work anyway.
I'm not really sure how to tell which DC is the broken one, but I'm assuming it's BORIS since that's the one users are unable to connect to. Since it is the FSMO role holder and GC I want to make sure I understand the steps correctly:
1.Use dcpromo to forcefully demote BORIS
2.Do metadata cleanup on NATASHA (using ntdsutil?)
    3.Promote BORIS again to DC
Should I leave NATASHA as the FSMO role holder and GC? BORIS is the better (more resources/faster processor) machine and it's the file server. Or should the better machine be the FSMO role holder and GC as well as the file server. NATASHA is meant to be
a backup in case BORIS dies.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
The step you are performing is correct but you also need to seize the FSMO role on other DC if BORIS is FSMO role holder and configure authorative time server role. You can later move the famo role to  BORIS server the choice is your however if you are
moveing the role then you need configure authorative time server on BORIS server.

  • Illegal cross join within the same dimension caused by incorrect

    Hi,
I created a logical table from 2 different Physical tables. Then I created a Dimension out of this logical table.
At the BI Answer, while I tried drilling on the dimension, I get the following error:
“Illegal cross join within the same dimension caused by incorrect subject area setup “
Please let me know if there is any work around this issue.
    Thanks,

I think that OBIEE try to do a cross join but don't allow it
    http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dw/join/cross_join
It generate surely a join with two tables where you don't have any condition or relation in the physical layer.
When you check the column from the subject area are you sure that you have a condition in the physical layer for the two tables ?
When you say "I tried drilling on the dimension", does it means that you have a report and when you click on link which come from a dimension level, it doesn't work ?
    Regards

  • I just installed LV2011 and one dll from my vi won't load with the error "application configuration is incorrect"

I just installed LV2011 and one dll from my vi won't load with the error "application configuration is incorrect", which is Windows lingo for "missing package dependencies".  All the computers at my company with 2010 loaded seem to do OK.  When I do a Dependencies Walk I get missing Visual C debug dll's missing plus IEshims and wer which both have a whole tree of dependencies missing on my machine.  The Windows install is the same "Windows XP version 2002 Service Pack 3" on my PC and the working PC's. So I'm thinking I have to uninstall 2011 and go back to 2010.  Is this correct?  Those VC debug dll's were installed on the machines with 2010 in them but were not installed in mine.
I've heard the advice to recompile the dll with debug turned off but I don't have access to the source code.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.  This at least tells me that going back to LV2010 is not likely to solve the problem.  The missing dll's are:
    MFC90D.dll
    MSVCR90D.dll
    IESHMS.dll
    WER.dll
And, once again, IESHMS and WER have other dependencies.  So perhaps i need to install the Visual C++ development environment.
IESHIMS.dll is an Internet Explorer DLL that gets usually delay loaded by shdocvw.dll. As delay load it can not cause DLL load errors but only runtime errors. Maybe your DLL has it as direct dependency but that is unlikely since it does not have a documented interface.
WER.dll is Windows error reporting for Vista/Win7.
MFC90D.dll is the Microsoft Foundation classes and MSVCR90D.dll is the MS C runtime library, both as debug variant.
So all the DLLs you mention are actually MS DLLs! You haven't identified the DLL that you try to access in LabVIEW that causes these error messages. IESHIMS and WER are usually delay loaded by any component that needs it and should not likely be used by non MS code.
What is the DLL you try to load into LabVIEW and by whom? Get the provider of that DLL to provide you a non Debug build of the DLL. Installing Visual C on all the machines just to make the DLL load is not a solution, besides that it is likely not legal since I doubt you have that many licenses.

  • I'm confused...think the MBA had anything to do with this?

    Hiya,
All righty...well, it's been about a week since I've had my MBA, and I have to say, this computer is awesome. However, I've had this very odd Internet problem and I'm not sure if it's the MBA'S fault--or, rather, my fault, given the way I used the MBA at home, in this case--that this happened. I don't know if anyone here would have any idea of what happened, regardless of whether it was actually connected to the MBA and what I did with it to get it online, but here goes....
I currently don't have working wi-fi so I'm stuck with one computer that can go online via ethernet and the DSL modem at home. When I went online with my MBA for the first time this week, I just unplugged the Ethernet from the home PC and plugged it into the MBA with the usb-to-ethernet dongle. The Internet worked fine on the MBA. And for a few hours, the Internet also worked fine on the regular home PC as well. But the next time I turned the PC on, something strange happened: Almost no Internet pages would load on Firefox or IE. Oddly enough, MSN worked, and YouTube worked, of all websites, but neither browser wanted to load up any other kind of webpage.
At first I figured that spyware/adware must've had something to do with this, so I started running my usual virus/spyware/adware checks to see if they would find anything. In the meantime, I plugged the Ethernet cable into the MBA and assumed the Internet would work just fine on it. It didn't--it had the exact same problem as the home PC! It was very odd--I was having the same problem across two different computers and two different platforms.
Long story short, my spyware/adware/virus checks on the PC came up clean. I was able to get one of my more computer-savvy friends to come over to my house and help fix the problem. We worked with the home PC and tweaked the firewall slightly. Oddly enough, after we tweaked the firewall on the home PC and got the Internet to work properly on it, the Internet also started working fine on the MBA as well when we tried plugging it in. My friend was left as confused as I was about all this--we really don't know what caused this problem to start with, since I hadn't encountered this problem at all until I plugged the MBA into the DSL modem. My friend's best guess is that perhaps, something in my PC had "told" the modem to not allow either computer to properly access the Web after I plugged in the MBA, but he really wasn't sure because he'd never encountered a problem like this.
All in all, I've had an exciting but very strange week. For anyone more computer savvy out there--anyone encounter this kind of problem before? I'll be happy to provide other details on the kind of PC I'm using, along with security programs and my current Internet setup. If needed, I'll get more specific about what me and my friend had done to attempt fixing the problem too.

    Hiya!
Thanks for the suggestions, Sagesse and Brian. Um...actually, on the day this had happened, my DSL modem got restarted at least three times--twice in my own attempt to fix it and once when I brought in my neighbor to help me fix the computer. I think I've got quite a bit more time to explain specifically what I and my neighbor did, so here goes....
First, as I said earlier, I plugged the MBA into my DSL modem and the Internet worked great. It worked great for a day or so before the Internet went wonky on me last Monday.
When I plugged the modem into my PC and booted up last Monday, then saw the Internet wasn't working right at all, the first thing I did was turn off and unplug my modem from my PC and from the wall for about five minutes. (Overkill, I know now--the neighbor who helped me fix my connection told me that all I needed was a minute and I didn't necessarily need to unplug it.) That didn't work. So I did the following in the next day or so till I could get ahold of my neighbor:
--ran spyware/adware scans using Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Doctor. I found two cookies, all in all, and quarantining them both didn't solve the problem.
--ran McAfee's virus scan, which came up clean
--launched Windows Live Messenger--when it didn't log me on and launched its troubleshooting utility instead, I tried letting that run so it could try telling me what the problem was. It kept saying there was a problem with my hosts file, and I clicked on "Repair" several times to get the utility to fix the problem, but no dice--it just didn't work.
--I checked my network connections in Windows and found my Ethernet connection, then clicked on "Repair" and tried to have Windows attempt to fix the problem for me. It sort of helped--I could log onto Windows Live Messenger, but my Internet browsers (IE and Firefox) were acting very strangely. Basically, only one of the two browsers would semi-work. For example...after having Windows attempt to repair my connection, I opened up Firefox and it didn't work at all--nothing would load properly on it. Then, out of curiosity, I opened IE and tried going to a variety of sites--a couple of banking websites that require login information to access personal banking info, cnn.com, consumerist.com, gizmodo.com, youtube.com--and out of all of those, only youtube loaded properly. IE definitely didn't like anything requiring a login. It didn't like "complicated" sites like CNN's or AOL's site either--when I tried loading either page, what I got were really simple-looking sites that resembled the kinds of pages I'd see on my BlackBerry when I'd load the mobile versions of either site on it. And it got weirder after a few hours of just leaving the computer alone--after a while, IE didn't want to work properly, but Firefox would suddenly start working somewhat, but it would act the same way IE did when it was working.
--When none of this stuff worked, I finally tried resetting my firewall back to its default settings. This didn't improve things for me either.
After trying all this out on Monday and some of Tuesday, I finally got ahold of my neighbor. After hearing how freaked out I was at all of this, he suggested that we go out and get some lunch in the neighborhood so we could talk, I could calm down, and I could tell him all about what had happened. We settled on a place with a wi-fi hotspot and I brought the MBA along--we both agreed that if the MBA worked perfectly fine at this restaurant we went to, then the problem I was having was most likely isolated to my house. Lo and behold, the MBA worked just fine outside of my home, so we were more certain now: The problem was at my home.
After lunch, my neighbor went back to his house and brought me a spare modem and a spare Internet cable in case there really was a problem with my own modem. And then he got a look at my PC and did some of the same things I already did. He turned my modem off and on, and that didn't work. He tried taking advantage of Windows Messenger Live's troubleshooting utility to have it attempt to fix my problem. (No dice--didn't work.) He tried repairing my Network connection. (Didn't work either.) And then he went into my firewall and started tinkering around with it. We learned one big thing about McAfee's free firewall that AOL provides: It is COMPLICATED. And no wonder, we both figured, as we stumbled through screen after screen, trying to figure out what might've been wrong: We figured that McAfee probably made things really hard to understand on purpose so that I'd be forced to go talk to them--and to talk to them, I'd have to pay for it.
My neighbor accidentally fixed the problem in an attempt to turn off my firewall, actually. He clicked this one checkbox in a list of "ignored problems" and assumed he had turned off the firewall. But he didn't--he fixed the problem instead. We don't actually understand how the item he had checked ("Firewall protection is disabled," which was originally not checkmarked and was not an ignored problem until we checkmarked it...) had solved anything. But the Internet just started working fine on either browser, and we don't understand how that fixed anything at all, but okay...that's for McAfee to answer, not the folks here. As my neighbor and I tested out IE and Firefox, loading up various sites, he said that the only thing he could guess in terms of what happened was, maybe my PC had "told" the DSL modem to not let any computer go online after I plugged in my MBA. And even that was a pretty wild guess for him--he admitted it readily--but he couldn't understand how that could have really been the problem here.
And...for now, that's all that's happened with my Internet connection. I got my connection fixed Tuesday night, after about two hours of me and my neighbor stumbling through Windows and, in particular, McAfee's security suite. I haven't had any problems with the Internet since then, but I'm still baffled at what had happened to start with. At this point, I still don't think this happened because of the MBA specifically, but I don't know what did happen to cause this problem. I do know that I had never had this kind of problem before until I plugged the MBA in, though. So in a vague way, I think the MBA had something to do with all this. I don't know what, though. :S

This is a common problem when installing Windows on a Mac.
AFAIA, you'll need to i nstall W7 specific audio drivers on the W7 partition.
However you may be better asking this question on an Apple forum.

Also while you are at trying to fine a answer, this mac has a camera and other things, how do i test everything to see if they work on both sides.

I tried searching through the other questions here is a question if answer well help answer the first?
How do I figure out what is my sound driver is called?  I think Windows calls it High Definition Audio Device however something about the windows is mistaken because I have no sound.  But when on the mac side I do not know where to look either.   If I can find out what the sound driver is called then I can fined a update download.  The other similar questions that were answered suggested that the sound driver needed updated.

So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID.

  • The song titles are displayed incorrectly, how do I fix this?

Ever since an update of itunes a couple of months ago, the titles have been displayed incorrectly in my library. I listen to a lot of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese music and after the update the information turned into squares. I went online and tried the much given solution of converting the id3 tags. This resulted in all my songs (even the english ones) turning to Chinese script when I reversed unicode, which was solved by reversing it again. However after trying all the id3 versions I am now left with a part of my songs being displayed as ?????? and with the other, largest part having the correct names but with the symbol Ƞ spread throughout the titles, which is annoying to say the least.
Other programmes on my computer display the different scripts just fine, and I have Japanese and Korean installed so as to be able to write it. The songs are also still displayed correctly if I acces them in their folders.
I am kind of losing hope after trying to find a solution on the internet for a while now, and have even re-installed itunes completely, to no avail.
If anyone has any suggestions or possible solutions, I'd be very grateful.

    Hi Treenr3,
Sounds like you have been on the right track with regard to troubleshooting this issue. It may be worth going over the font troubleshooting in the following article, just to double check (it refers to a previous version of iTunes, but the troubleshooting steps should be similar).

It may also be worth trying some isolation troubleshooting in new test user account with just a couple of the tracks that are having issues to see if it persists.

Every time I try to use apple ID for face time I got an error message "the username or password was incorrect" although they are right and I use them in App Store and I cloud even after resetting my password, the problem happens also with iMessage . Please help

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
    That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now.  They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
    Thanks for listening,
    Melissa

  • Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient). The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)

    Hi Experts,
We had a task to  migrate SQL Server all the components to another server, the migration went well and had no issues at all. but We can login to SSAS service locally wihtout any issues. when we are connecting the analysis services from the other machines(servers)
it is givng the below error.
    Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
    1) it is a stand alone server
    2) it is connecting to default instance but not to a named instance
    3) SPN's were set correctly. Double checked with the tool(MS Kerberos configuration Tool).
    4) The SQL server analysis start account has domain admin privileges.
    5) we can connect to Database services from the other machine remotely.
    6) none of the analysis services are  connecting.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Ramu,
According to your description, you migrated SQL Server to another server, everything works fine except that cannot connect to SSAS remotely with the error, right?
    Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
Based on my research, this issue is caused by that the SPN for account that run the Analysis Services is corrupt. You said that the SPN were set correctly, however the error message indicate that the problem is related to SPN. So in your scenario, you can
delete the SPN under the service account, and register SPN for Analysis Services instance. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

Besides, here is a blog which describe the similar issue.

  • How to solve the issue "CUV check user equivalence failed" ?

    Folks,
Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 VMs (rac1 and rac2) whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6 in VMPlayer according to the website http://appsdbaworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/10/11gr2-rac-on-linux-56-using-vmware.html
In order to install Grid Infrastructure, we need to run Cluster Utility Verification (CUV) at first by running the cammand below:
    [ora11g@rac1 grid]$ ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n rac1,rac2 -verbose
    Its output:
Performing pre-checks for cluster services setup
Check: User equivalence for user “ora11g”
    Node Comment
    rac1 failed
    rac2 failed
Result: PRVF-4007 : User equivalence check failed for user “ora11g”
    ERROR:
User equivalence unavailable on all the specified nodes
    Verification cannot proceed
Pre-check for cluster services setup was unsuccessful on all the nodes.
As you see above, check user equivalence failed. I have run the 4 commands to fix this error as below:
    [ora11g@rac1 /]$ ssh-keygen
    Its output:
    Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/home/grid/.ssh/id_rsa):
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
    Enter same passphrase again:
Your identification has been saved in /home/grid/.ssh/id_rsa.
Your public key has been saved in /home/grid/.ssh/id_rsa.pub.
    The key fingerprint is:
    0c:10:6c:3b:ae:21:63:64:f8:0d:0e:d8:f0:41:32:ff [email protected]
    [ora11g@rac1 .ssh]$ cat *pub >>authorized_keys
    [ora11g@rac1 .ssh]$ ssh rac1
    Its output:
The authenticity of host ‘rac1 (127.0.0.1)’ can’t be established.
    RSA key fingerprint is 9d:ae:51:7c:72:81:07:37:31:92:f1:c8:90:bc:52:55.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added ‘rac1′ (RSA) to the list of known hosts.
    Write failed: Broken pipe.
    [ora11g@rac1 .ssh]$ ssh rac1-priv
    Its output:
The authenticity of host ‘rac1-priv (192.168.137.35)’ can’t be established.
    RSA key fingerprint is 9d:ae:51:7c:72:81:07:37:31:92:f1:c8:90:bc:52:55.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added ‘rac1-priv,192.168.137.35′ (RSA) to the list of known hosts.
    Write failed: Broken pipe.
After run the 4 commands above, I run the command below again:
    [ora11g@rac1 grid]$ ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n rac1,rac2 -verbose
    Its output is the same:
PRVF-4007 : User equivalence check failed for user “ora11g”
    ERROR:
User equivalence unavailable on all the specified nodes
    Verification cannot proceed
I think the problem is "Broken pipe" and ssh cannot write authorized_keys to the machines.
    My question is:
Do any folk understand how to solve the issue CUV "check user equivalence failed" for 2 VMs ?
    Thanks.

    Folks,
Hello. Thanks a lot for replying.
I have installed Grid Infrastructure a few times. Each time, on step 7 of 9, the installer fixes and checks 2 machines correctly. The entire installation has 3 parts as below:
    1) Install Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster
    2) Execute Root Scripts for Install Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster (script is root.sh)
    3) Configure Oracle Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster that includes NCA, ASMCA, PICA and CVU.
Each time, on step 8 of 9, the Installer installs Grid Infrastructure for a Cluster successfully that includes "Prepare, Copy files, Link binaries, Setup files and Perform remote operations".
But when the Installer get to part 3 CVU, it fails and then the Database cannot be installed.
Deinstall Grid is a very complicated process to do. Because of this reason, we need to run CVU at first to make sure everything is correct for 2 machines before install Grid.
Even we ignore "user equivalence (ssh)", we don't know whether other items can be passed or not because CVU cannot proceed to check the machines.
    My question is:
How to have the script "runcluvfy.sh" continue to check the machines while confronting "user equivalence failed" ?
