Help! I can't update itunes because I deleted quicktime then tried to reinstall quicktime but there are components that won't be uninstalled

Ok. So a while ago quicktime got deleted (but only partially) which won't allow me to reinstall it to fix it. The error with quicktime affected my itunes which I can no longer open. I tried to reinstall everything but I get an error because 1) the older version of bonjour cannot be removed and 2) an older version of quicktime cannot be removed which then says that itunes can not be installed without quick time. But I also cannot delete everything to reinstall. Because when I try to delete either Bonjour or quicktime I get this message: the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable!
I have performed a search on my hard drive to find all quicktime files to try to delete but it won't let me delete the last three files and gives me this message when I attempt to delete: Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or disk. And the other two only allow me the option to open containing folder, copy or extract....
I also made changes on the registry according to someone else' instructions to see if that would solve the problem, restarted the computer but that didn't help either.
Nothing has allowed me to reinstall itunes back onto my computer and without itunes, I can not sync my iphone and get updated! I am using Windows XP by the way

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

Did you do a font check in Font Book?
Be aware that a default encoding of UTF-16 as shows in your screenshot may lead to problems.<br />
The default is Western (ISO-8859-1) and you should change the default encoding to that setting unless you have changed that deliberately to UTF-16 for specific web pages, but even in that case it is better to make the change via View > Character Encoding or set Auto-Detect to Universal or UTF-16.

You are using a relatively old version of Firefox (version 3.6), you should update to the latest version (3.6.13), there have been quite a few security fixes since the one you are using. You can get it from http://www.mozilla.com - you can download the setup file then run it to install it, this will replace your version with the latest.

One day randomly for no reason whatsoever, I opened up firefox on my mac and it just said firefox on the upper left as if it was open. the little upside down triangle appeared below the icon on the dock, like it was open. However, there are no windows anywhere. I click file and new window and nothing.

Firefox has a million pop ups and takes over the page im looking at

When im doing anything with firefox (ex search, reading a page, watching movie) i will get a million pop ups. some are there own pages in the background and most will open in new tab on page. it will take over the page im on and i will be stuck closing everything out to my desk top and re opening a page. i have the pop up blocker on but doesn't do anything.I am using a mac. the browser is pretty much useless at this point and this is the longest i have been on a page in weeks.

Complaining to Mozilla isn't going to fix anything for you. One complaint, a few hundred complaints, or even a few thousand complaints about the same issue is going to bring about a "fix", unless it's a security issue and Mozilla recognizes ot as such.

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.

I removed WinZip and reinstalled the older version, and then I started getting these messages. I believe the issue is with the Apple ID that was used to purchase the App. If you download an App that was purchased under a different Appple ID then all updates will also be linked to the original purchaser's Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the the same ID as your iTunes, iCloud, etc. Some folks use different ID for the different Apple sites. No need for that One ID for all Apple Sites, and if someone else buys an App using their ID and they(you) download that App onto your device and that App requires an update it will ask for the purchasers Apple ID. This happens a lot when folks sell their iPad or give it to someone else and leave some purchased(free) Apps on the iOS device. You cannot change the original ID the App was purchased under. A suggestion would be if someone else has an App that you like but do not want to pay for use their ID or in the future have them gift the App to you.

This is the decision of the app maker.
Contact those app makers and ask them why they do this.
