I upgraded my laptop and switched my mail to iCloud not knowing I was about to lose access to my mail on my desktop iMac (which will not upgrade to iCloud). Can I use an email client (i.e. Eudora) on the iMac and download mail from iCloud? Otherwise, I have to open Safari, sign in to iCloud, then mail, before obtaining my mail. I would like to click an email on my desktop and the be able to access email.

What's the format of your video? That will give you a hint as to what plugin is failing (or missing).

I cannot get to the mail menu bar. When I try to open mail, I get "you can't use this version of mail with this version of Mac OS X. But the help suggestions don't work either. I am trying to download an update combo v1.1 to see if that helps. Thanks

Upgrade Offer - Bait and Switch

I called technical support twice today regarding an account unlock and password reset. Both CSR's stated that I am 'eligable' for an upgrade. However, when I log into the website, it states I'm eligable for an upgrade at full cost or the discounted one on 1/28/2012. Why even put this on your website or have your CSR's tell customers this? We can upgrade our phones at full cost any time we want. This seems like a bait and switch ploy to confuse customers into buying a new phone.
Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

Thats possible. I'm reluctant to contact a CSR about it because then I'll have to sit through their sales pitches just to get the information I'm looking for.

Dropped Laptop and switched to Mac

I dropped my laptop and destroyed the screen. I used an external monitor and tried to start it. It didn't work. Since I use mostly apple devices (e.g. IPhone, IPad etc) and I've been wanting a mac for a long time (just needed a good reason to replace my laptop) I bought an IMac. My question is, since I can't access my old iTunes account to deauthorize it, is there a way to remotely access the account.

You can also contact iTunes support and ask them to deauthorize your old machine; they've done that for me (and responded very quickly) (I believe there is now a disclaimer that you must have a warranty in place to get service):

Just upgraded to Leopard and having general mail problems...

Hi all. Thanks for any help you can give me in advance.
I'm having multiple problems and I hope you guys can help. Has anyone had any general reliability issues? I understand that mail often can flicker or hang up, and restarting the program can be necessary. No big deal. But since I've upgraded, it happens constantly. I run multiple accounts, from multiple providers, and they are all having trouble. So I don't feel it is my provider. I'll list a couple problems to provide some examples.
1) When I start Mail, a pop up comes up to make me verify each account server. I feel like I'm in Windows Vista with endless pop-up-warnings.
2) More often than it used to with 10.4, when sending, the SMTP server will hiccup and I'll get the "try again later" warning. And I have to restart Mail to get it to send. This happens at least 10 times a day.
3) Large attachments, 5 to 10 megs, often won't send if they don't get uploaded fast enough. My company doesn't have the fastest internet, and it can take time. This wasn't a problem with 10.4.
Those are the biggies. Seems like it is just general unreliability. I have multiple accounts with multiple providers, so I'm led to believe that the problem is with Mail, not my providers.

I ran in to similar problems when I upgrade my wife's iMac to Leopard. The easiest way I found after about three hours of trying to solve the issue is to just download and reinstall iTunes. that whole process took ten minutes and iTunes is working as it should. I'm upgrading my laptop and would like to re-install my PS CS6 on my new system. Any licensing issues? Any "gotchas" or tips I should be aware of?

My current system is having a hard time keeping up and it's time for an upgrade. I have a license for Adobe Design Standard CS6 and obviously would like to make sure my license is valid after the upgrade.
How do I go about migrating from one system to the other? Are there any "gotchas" I should be aware of?

On no account use anything designed to make the upgrade painless by copying the software across... will leave you with something more or less broken. Reinstalling and setting up properly takes time, but is necessary.
So the basic "how to" is "imagine you just bought it for the first time". After it is working, deactivate on the old system to avoid future pain.
I'm not sure if anyone has any views on whether to use migration for any other purpose. I'm inclined to say, reinstall everything, copy data, set up afresh.

you can sync your iphone 5 with the old imac to get the information then usw the icloud. all your inforamtion with be saved to icloud and then you can sign in to icloud on the new imac.

Upgraded to Lion and now Mail does not show attachments in the Send Box (for new messages only).

After upgrading to Lion and switching Mail to the classic mode, I can no longer see if messages have attachment in my Send Box. However, I can go into the message and see the attachment.
Strangely, all my messages prior to the upgrade show their attachments.
I've looked through the preferences and don't see a swith for this.

Perhaps I am not explainging myself very well.
In the Send Box new messages do not show the clip in the Attachments column. The image below is of two messaegs, both of which have an attachment, yet no clip is shown (this is also true of the Draft Box).
In all other boxes, an attachment is shown with a clip (see below).
I need the clips to be shown in all mail boxes.

Serial number, bought with CS4 is no longer visible on my adobe account, I have just upgraded my computer and downloaded the product as I have no disk drive

Bought a student edition, so the serial number was sent through after confirmation process. I just upgraded my laptop and want to install the product. My new computer has no disk drive so I have downloaded CS4. My previous laptop was damaged a while ago and so I have not been using my Adobe account for some time. I now want to find my serial number to activate CS4 and I can't see it anywhere or find an easy way of contacting Adobe. Help.

Tried compatibility mode on Win 7 and it did not help. Will use Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader and convert doc to pdf as needed.

Hello, Well I am on the following system :- HP Pavilion 14-v015tu Notebook PCModel #: J3Z65PA It has a 4GB RAM and I want to upgarde it with additional 4GB of memory putting it to 8GB of RAM. Also I am on Windows 10 currently the OS is quite slow on my HDD and I have been thinking to switch to SSD.I need help that can i upgrade my laptop with a 512GB SSD and if yes what size and stuff as I cant find information about the form factor,inches,size,etc of my current HDD.Also will it fit properly and stuff? The backup is an issue, but you can always mail your work to your self… but the mail server has to be configured the way that mails are not deleted.
The more elegant way is "MobileMe", you can use it as a storage and save your work there.
Keep in mind, the iPad is limited to what you can do with the Apps, so check first if there are some Apps for the work you need to do…
