I used to have FF and then I had to reformat. Downloaded file but when it goes to extract, I get Local\temp\7zS6f17.tmp\setup.exe. The directory name is not valid. I've never had this before. Suggestions? ps: can't use firefox because of this =(

This reformat is doing my head in. I hate using IE and was really looking forward to getting back onto FF.
All I did was download the application, try to run it but when it comes to the extraction, a pop up box comes up with the info I've put up there.
Any suggestions that gets me off stupid IE would be appreciated.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.

Save to web directory name is not valid error

Hi, I typed my question a second ago and it took me to another screen. I apologize if there is a duplicate somewhere else.
I was trying to spare some room on my C: drive so when I went to save for web last time, I decided to save the images and html on D: drive instead of C:. Ever since then, when I go to save for web I get this error message: "Could not complete this operation. The directory name is not valid". I even uninstalled PS and reinstalled it to see if the factory default settings might override whatever I screwed up! Didn't help.
I really appreciate your help, I'm on a deadline working on my website and need this fixed so quickly!!!!!

That wouldn't be a "file" but a directory, also called a folder.
So you would first look for a directory/folder named "Users", inside which you should find a directory/folder labeled with your own name (as a user). Inside said directory/folder named after you there should be the directory/folder labeled "AppData". If you cannot find the latter, then STOP immediately . It would mean that we are not communicating at all and you're in danger of causing great harm to your machine!

STOP AT ONCE ! I don't remotely understand what you're trying to say there, and that means that there's definitely a serious miscommunication here. I said nothing about "sets of Photoshop files", nor do I understand what you mean by that.
Hopefully a Windows user will chime in to undo whatever confusion I caused and maybe even post a screenshot or two to show you what to do.

We are using BizTalk Server 2010, I want to use the SSO to store and modify sensitive data. I am trying to automate through scripts the creation and updates of the SSO.
So I used the sso manage to create the sso application where I want to store my data. Everything works fine. Then when I try to access the data
I got the error :

By googling I seem to be missing one step related to
BTSScnSSOApplicationConfig.exe But I looked everywhere, I didn't know where to find this exe file. Do I have to download something? Where can I find it? was it renamed to something else?

I found finally the solution to my problem.
You'll need to use the ssomanage and use the to
BTSScnSSOApplicationConfig.exe found in the link mentionned previously.
In order for it to work, a special attention needs to be paid to the AffiliateApplication.xml
The contact XmlElement is important (it's not an email address as I used to think (smile))

Exporting to word error "Directory name is not valid.. "

Hi Experts,
I'm getting an error when I'm exporting a Delivery document to word document, Microsoft word opens but error message appears: "Directory name is not valid. C:\Program Files\SAP\...ODLN.428.doc". I am getting the error in the client workstation.
I tried correcting the path in the server for the word templates path, but still the error persist.
Client is using 2007 version SP1 PL8 HF3.

Check the Administration > System Initialization > General Settings > Path tab for the definition of a proper path to the Word directory.

Ok, Below is what worked for me somewhat.
Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems. It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn. Looking still for this fix.

I can download and it goes to my download file but when I try to Run to install, I get nothing. I'm on Windows 8.

The items that you can purchase from iTunes in the form of apps are for either an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) or for Mac Computers.
The chances are the app you have downloaded is either written for an iPhone or iPad (iOS device -although even then there can be differences) or for a Mac computer (even then it may be OS version specific)
In a search for "Miss Kitty Slot" in iTunes I found this
It says it is an iPhone App.

When I clcik to download a pdf file the browser downloads the file but when adobe goes to open it I get often the message"There was an error opening this document. The root object is missing or invalid."

I also have safari on my computer and if use it and go to the same website I can open the file. there is a similar message if I try to open the file with Preview.

Sounds like the files are corrupt. Time to restore them from a good backup.

When I get on my ipod and press the app "text free" I can text, but when I try to call I get something that says "Still connecting to the voice network and to try later. This has been there for days and my daughters can call on theirs.

Unable to open Sharepoint site with Designer "Folder name is not valid"

I'm using SharePoint 2013 with SharePoint Designer 2013, but currently I'm facing a weird behaviour.
I can open my preproduction SharePoint portal with SharePoint Designer 2013, but when I'm trying to open my production environment, I'm receiving the error "The folder name is not valid". Even it doesn't ask for credentials.
Anyone knows what is happening?
