just sits there and doesn't respond. It is very very important that I get this app to work today!!! Help.

These are apps for the iphone/ipod/ipad.
They do not work on your computer.
You need to sync them to your iphone/ipod touch/ipad and use them from there.

You will need to contact iTunes Support. You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Tru importing from your camera to it and to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

It sounds like it's gone into recovery mode. How were you trying to update it, directly on it of via your computer's iTunes ? If directly on it then have you tried conencting it to your computer's iTunes ?

Your question is a little bit confusing to me. If you have music on the Mac that you want to transfer to the iPad, you have to import the music into iTunes first. You can read about that process here.

Then you have to sync the music to the iPad. You do not Internet connectivity to sync the iPad if you use the cable and connect the device to the Mac that way. You can read this for an overview about syncing.

Just got a new Macbook Air. Music library from ios devices/itunes isn't showing up on itunes on the mac. How can I get it to work?

How can I get my previously purchase music to show up in itunes on my macbook air? Not sure I want to import and use up hard drive, but would like to have access to my songs/playlists on my computer. It says homesharing is turned on for all my devices using the same apple id.

iTunes prefs > Store - Show iTunes in the Cloud.
You must be signed into the iTunes store.

HT1414 i accidentally deleted the phone app, how do I get it back

This happened after a number of issues with ios7. If anyone knows how to fix it, I would be so greatly appreciative. Also, if anyone knows the answers to the following questions I would be thankful forever:
Why spotlight is only available from the main home screen and not ever screen like they say its suppsoed to be
Why the music app is only able to be controlled from the app itself and none of the shortcuts work, even when music is playing
Why I can transmit sound and voice calls to my bluetooth in my car but the controls from the car no longer work as they use to (can't change song, can't change volume, etc - all has to be done in the actual music app)
Why podcasts will no topen at all
I am sure I will come up with more. Every day since the update one thing breaks after another. I fear doing this most recent update its prompting me to do this morning.

After 6 hours I have resolved the issues.

You cannot delete it. It is likley on another page, in a folder, or you have restrictions set.

If not, then reset your home screen layout.
