Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo. It is safe to do, there should be no content loss. It is the same as rebooting your computer.

Walk through all files in a folder and do this for all subfolders and...
... and their subfolders, etc. I mean I want to recursively walk through all subfolders of a folder and when I'm "in" in each folder I would like to walk through all files alphabetically of that folder.
While iterating through the files (of a certain type: .mp3, .mp4, .m4a) of that folder, I need to make a simple counter. e.g. when counter is 3 it means we are on the 3rd file alphabetically of the folder.
Then I simply want to set the track # mp3 tag of that file to this counter value (e.g. 3)
Anyone know how to do this? or at least to be able to show me the walking the folders and iterating the files bit? I'm brand new to applescript.
Why do I want to do this? Well I have a lot of live music shows, each in its own folder, but in my apple devices and itunes when I play a show it will not show the songs in the correct order. The file names are alphabetical in the correct order though and I suspect if I assign track #s then itunes, ipods and iphones will be able to play the "album" back in the order listed by track #??What are you using to play your items? iTunes can use various properties to sort a playlist, independent of what the file name is (Finder too, for that matter). If you are just wanting to add a prefix number to a file name, you would also probably need to use leading zeros to keep it in order when sorted by name.

I am running IE 11 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Service Pack 1. When I attempt to install Flash Player, it goes through all of the steps, tells me the player is installed, and welcomes me. I cannot open the player and it does not appear in the Start Menu, Task Manager, System Tray, or anywhere else. When I try to open a file, the site tells me Flash player is not installed. I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now. HELP!!!
Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually. -

how do I switch between windows in the same programme? I know that I can use Command tab, however this takes you through all of the programmes that I'm using. What I need to do is have a shortcut to switch between windows in the same programme. For example if I'm in Excel and have 5 windows open I want to be able to scroll between each window of Excel only with a shortcut.

I cannot find the AirPlay icon for the life of me. I have iOS 7.0.2 on my iPad Mini. Connected to my WiFi network just fine. I swipe up to get to the control center badges and all I see is the AirDrop icon. Trying to disable mirroring on ipad for Netflix streaming and don't know what to do. Any luck out there?
If you last used an Apple TV to mirror your device and have updated to the newest Apple TV software, go into settings and turn airplay back on. The icon should then appear on your iPad mini when you swipe up allowing you to disable it for Netflix. After updating my Apple TV software for some reason it turned airplay off.

I need help installing Lightroom 5. I tried the trial and it does not have an uninstall feature. Thus, I'm trying to activate with my new $9.99 per month subscription and it simply will not work. Very frustrating you already took my money and no results, and very difficult to get help.

Like Rob I'm a Windows user, and - like him - I thought "uninstalling" on Macs was simply a case of trashing the application. Google would seem to concur.

I updated my ios two or three weeks ago, but suddenly beginning this morning all of the photos in my text messages have disappeared. They have been replaced with question mark placeholders. I can't access any videos/photos that either I have sent or others have sent to me. I did nothing to instigate this change (no software updates, etc.) and have already tried resetting my phone multiple times.

Messages with photos seem to work fine on all devices except my iPhone. All of a sudden all the photos in my iPhone message streams have disappeared and been replace by question mark placeholders. I rebooted all devices, shut down messages, and rebooted, restarted, with no luck. Very bizarre and extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

i plug in my phone to the charger and i tried with two different cables, and it seems like it is not making connection to the clable. but it is not charging. what are some possible ways o fix that?
When you plug in your charger and attach it to the MBP, initially the light will turn green. If the MBP needs charging, a few seconds later the light will turn amber. That is normal. If your symptoms are different, then they may or may not be a problem.

Since moving to Maverick and the new updated of Keynote, I have a constant problem when typing in a text box, the program crashes. Is there a bug fix for this. Drives me nuts. Like many who can type quite quickly but at secretarial level, the text box freezes, nothing works and you know what's coming...crash!
This is most annoying. Is there bug fixes for this. Apparently I have the current updates and this problem still exists. Is it a Maverick bug or Keynote.
