I want to buy an Iphone 5s from the uk apple store online and I will be using it in Panama. I have contacted my carrier (Movistar Panama) and they have given me a list of the Iphone 5s models that will work with their network:
Model A1533 (GSM)*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)
Do you know how can I get to know if I'm buying the right model from the online store?

The A1533 model is sold only in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. You will not be able to get that model in the UK.

You need to be aware that it may or may not work in the UK.
If the phone does work in the UK, then you will not get any 4G coverage because the phones are not compatible.
Also be aware that you have no warranty cover for your phone in the UK - iPhone warranty is NOT international so you have to take it back to the US.
If you want an iPhone and you want to use it in the UK, then buy the phone in the UK and NOT the US. You will get 4G and also EU warranty on the phone. -
Does the Canada Apple store sell the unlocked iPhone 5 model A1429CDMA?
Canada sells unlocked iPhone 5's. Why not check this out for yourself by going to the Apple store website and then changing the country to Canada?
You can't purchase it from the store online though - you'll have to travel directly to Canada yourself to buy it because there is no international shipping available. -

I just bought an iPhone 3G very cheap, for 20$. Its battery puffed up and pushed up the screen a little bit, and also it broke about 3 screws on the right side, so the vibrator is not working in it. By the way, i bought a new battery, and everything was fine.( The screen has no errors, the phone functionality is 100%, the buttons are fine.) i noticed, that the phone restarts, or just switches off in 5 minutes. I restored it, (iOS4.2.1) setting as new iPhone and it continued to restart. So I tried install an iOS 3.1.3 on it, and now it's working, but I'm wondering why is this happening, and how can I install iOS 4.2.1 on it without these restarts.
Thanks for helpYour phone is unsupportable. If it weren't for the physical damage and the fact that you opened it up and attempted repair yourself, you also downgraded iOS, meaning no one here or at Apple can help you at all.

Force it to recovery mode and restore it using iTunes.

Given the extreme limitations outlined in the article Allen linked to, and given thst iMovie HD 6 is known to work with Mountain Lion, you might be better served by installing iMovie 6 on your Mac.
You can still keep iMovie 11 as well:
Happily this is easily achieved, but it has to be done backwards.
Delete iMovie 11 (just drag it to the trash). Now install iMovie 6 from the iLife 6 install disks. Update it to iMovie 6.0.3.
Now re-install iMovie 11. This automatically moves iMovie 6 into a folder it creates in your Applications folder called iMovie Previous Version.
Then reinstall iMovie 11.
iMovie 6 works great with iDVD 7.
Now you have them both, and you can have both in the Dock as well. -
I don't know what happened to it. I just updated it and now, the sound comes out tinny and overdriven. My setting were just as before, but the sound has become very crappy.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.

I dont know if you know the procedure in Canada and Turkey. Wind mobile wasnt supporting Iphones until they decided to let people use Iphone 5s with their $40 plan.And as i know, Turkey is the only country that asks you to register the imei on your passport to use it. So, most of people did not know it. so procedures are changing country by country. Alltel has a CDMA network and requires a CDMA phone. The iPhone is not compatible with CDMA networks. CDMA phones do not have a SIM card.
