Hiding a selection screen field for Standard Report Transaction

Hello All,
We are trying to hide a check box on the selection screen for a standard sap report transaction (s_alr....). We can hide it by creating a variant but then if the users don't select it, the checkbox will be visible. We can't use transaction variant to hide this since its not a dialog transaction.
We don't want any users to select that option by clicking on the checkbox and then running the report. Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.

Did you think about modifying the standard report by adding NO-DISPLAY to the parameter option?
If you are not allowed to modify another option - although much more effort - would be to replicate the standard selection screen in an own Z-report and at the end do a SUBMIT standard report WITH parameter
In your won report you can easily hide that parameter and always pass a space to the standard report.
To submit data to the standard report just use
DATA: lt_par TYPE TABLE OF rsparams.
build the selection table based on the selection criteria the user entered and do:
SUBMIT rep USING SELECTION-SCREEN 1000
WITH SELECTION-TABLE lt_par.
Then just remove access to the standard transaction and create an own transaction for your custom report which is added to the users authorized transactions.
Not the easiest way to do it, but it does work.

I cannot resize the selected text and the object in Illustrator

I am unable to resize the text and the object with transform tool. It resizes but half of it does not. and not that much i want.

Ok so if i write some text and all the words are of different sizes and i have to resize it using the transform tool, i cannot resize it unto the size i want. e.g.. i wrote this text "The Big Bold Sale" all the words are of different sizes and are grouped together, so when i resize it using transform tool all these words are resized differently "The big" becomes big, "bold" becomes little smaller and "sale" is not resized.. the image is attached.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Do you know how to modify a selection text in the selection screen of a standard report, such as changing "Storage Location" in the selection screen of report MB5B to "storage Loc"?
one of a way to realize it is to modify the text of relevant data element.
except modifying the data element directly, It seems that use SE63 could do it, but I forgot how to use it.

How to search for the selected text with a non-default search engine?

Hi,
Before the recent update of the search bar, you could select your "current" search engine, and a search for the selected text (right-click on selection) would use that engine.
Now, it seems that you can only search for the selected text using the default engine. If that's correct, this is a major step backwards for me. For instance, I can't have Google as my default search engine, and search for a selected text on eBay!
Or am I missing something?

ER: Length of the selected text

Hi to all,
It would be nice if JDeveloper showed the length of the selected text on the Status Bar. I think this would be useful because of the 30 characters limitation of the database. Instead of encountering an error after generating the schema, one can watch the length from the status bar and develop faster.

The text editor providing this feature is Notepad++ (for Windows) which can be found at [http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm] or [http://portableapps.com/apps/development/notepadpp_portable] addresses. It has lots of such small editing features and this is one of them. I find this feature very useful that's why it would be nice if it would found a place in an intuitive developer tool such as JDeveloper.
Actually, I did not thought it particularly for SQL Worksheet but why not?
I did not write an extension for JDeveloper before that is why I did not propose it as an extension. I will consider this option too if I could find time if you think it is feasible then.

How do I change the selected text of a combobox on the fly?

I am trying to make a combobox, that is sort of a "recently used" connection box. So you can type in a computer name, hit connect and it then connects. When you disconnect, it adds the computer name, and the logged in username to the combobox,
so when you click on the drop down, you get selections for example : "COMPUTER1 - johnsmith"
Which is cool, but what I want, is to be able to click on the selection, and it only puts the computer name in the TextBox - i.e. "COMPUTER1"
So I have done a bit of research, and tried making a hashtable, and using the DisplayMember and ValueMember properties, so i can at least have a combobox selection like "COMPUTER1 (johnsmith)". I have tried many different pages and suggestions,
but the furtherest I have got is to only have one or the other value display, or it displays as System.Collection...... (can't remember the rest).
So my next attempt, is using an event handler for the combobox to change the text, so that once "COMPUTER1 - johnsmith" is selected from the combobox, it puts "COMPUTER1" as the selected text.
I have tried the following using the SelectedIndexChanged handler. Here is a snippet of my code relating to the ComboBox:

For that I have maintained the text in Japanese language the program where we define the selection text there from translation I have maintained the text in Japanese but while maintain the text it didn't ask me for REQUEST, because of that I am not able to transport the changes to next system, so I want know how to create the request for this case.

You could goto the selection screen texts by goto-> selection texts,
Then you could again goto -> Translation
or
Other-> Translation(Not sure )
Then double click on the Program you should be able to see the Texts that need translation, now change something save and come back and try to activate, now it should propose for a new Transport Request.
Either create a new transaport request or give one that you have given for the program.
Hope the issue is resolved.

Go to SE91 enter the Message class = C2 and Message Number 039 then click on change icon then hit on Maintain in logon langauge

The id is applied by (I think) the skin class of the ChoiceBox. You don't need to define it.
You have to apply the css in an external style sheet. You can apply the external style sheet to any parent of your choice box, or to the scene (the most usual way to do it).

There are three TextBoxes. I use <TextBox TabIndex="1"/> to set the order they are selected. When I enter one specific TextBox, I would like to have the entire text selected ... one key stroke removes all of the text in that TextBox.

I do it the following way:
1. Override the OnStartup for the application. Use the following code: (VB.NET)

What this does is register a handler for every textbox in your application. This will execute when the GotFocus event is raised and will allow you to do whatever (in this case select all) you want. A great way of handling things at the application
level.

I am wondering wether it is possible to change the position of the test (the starting point) in a standard report. I would like to print a label with different texts at different positions. If its not possible in a standard report is there any other way to do it.

Hi Mudda, I don't see any way myself to set any particular starting position for your text. It looks like the best way to emulate this behavior would be to add a new line with lots of tab characters or spaces to place your new text at a specific offset from the left. You can also use Append Table to Report and wire in a 2D string array with only a few positions filled in with your various text labels as shown below. This will space text labels pretty well across the page. Try it out and see if it works for you. You could be more clever and build the 2D array programmatically if you wanted more control over position.
