I would like to communicate with a J1850 system. I am wondering whether there is any hardware available for this similar to CAN. Is there a possibility to find exampls for this kind of communication.

I'm still new in this area but I will try to help. AFAIK, J1850 comes in
two flavors: VPW and PWM. You can purchase an adapter that converts RS232
signals to those required by J1850 for about $100.
I suggest using an adapter from Scantool.net. I say this because I
have one and it's very easy to use. It's flexible enough to use with a
terminal (hyperterminal, minicom, etc.) or to interface with LabVIEW, as I

Let me know if it works for you. The interface is a little weak but the
VIs should clue you in on how to handle communications. I plan to add

The photos are from newspapers going back to the early 1900s and they are now on microfilm. I can get them digitized at 600dpi but that still doesn't make them ready for placement on a large display. Thinking back to when I've seen displays of newsprint that's been greatly magnified, being able to see the halftone screen pattern seems important. It gives the display a look of authenticity.
You say the library can scan at 600 ppi. If that's 600 ppi of a greatly reduced image on a piece of microfiche, it may not give you the resolution you're looking for, and it's entirely possible that getting a quality optical print then scanning it would give you better.
I don't see how you can plan how to proceed in anything like specific detail if you don't have an image that represents what you're really going to be starting with in detail. Perhaps getting one scan might be a good idea.
After that, you just need to figure out what ppi your final overall panel design is going to be at, and upsample the newspaper clippings to match, so that they're the size you need them to be.

After updating to ios 5, my calendar sometimes freezes when entering a new event. I have tried syncing but it doesn't fix the problem. Are there any bug fixes for this? Any ideas would be great thanks, I don't really want to have to reset everything!
Try to reset the iPod by pressing the home and sleep button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing a reset, but it can clear some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Autofill in Google Toolbar does not appear to be working with Firefox 4 - It aways gives the message "Autofill not available for this page". This is happening on pages I have used Autofill on before upgrading to FF4 from Firefox 3.5.x
i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

Sadly, as Call Bliss uses the built in Do Not Disturb feature, it requires that your screen be locked in order to function.
I'm hoping (and have submitted feedback) that Apple will beef up DND to work even when the screen isn't locked. -

Is there any updates available for Acrobat 7.0 to be used with Vista?
It seems to be an uncompatibilty with Vista that I acquired yesterday. No problem with XP but struggling with Vista. A guy in Dublin over the phone (when I registered the product) said it was not compatible and that is it. No solution he was aware of. The message given as a code error is 93: -2 or a window appears in Acrobat saying:
HKCMD.EXE and IGFXTRAY.EXE - BAD IMAGE
C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/IGFXRES.DLL IS EITHER NOT DESIGNED TO RUN ON WINDOWS OR IT CONTAINS AN ERROR.
The suggestion is to desinstal and reinstall software. I have tried this but still the same problem. I have tried so many times that I could not activate the software automatically over the internet - so called this guy in Dublin...
I reckon that the suggested update to Acrobat 7.0.1 is not good as when installed, repeated error messages come up! I am reluctant to try to download it again just to try because I am scared that I will have to call Dublin again to activate the software...
Any suggestion on the above?

The current version 9 is designed for Vista (as well as XP)
As far as I know, version 8 would work with Vista AFTER you applied the updates -

I'm using a File/FTP Sender adapter with Quality of Service = EOIO (Exactly Once In Order) to keep the polled order of the files.
In the processing parameters I defined a queue name and everything is working well for small (~1 MByte) files.
But if I want to transfer bigger (~25 MByte) files, the whole Java stack collapses and the system has to be restarted.
Is there any size limitation for this own defined queues?
Have you any experience with this kind of processing?
Any comments / experiences are welcome!

there are several files to poll, we have to keep the alphabetical order of them.
It seems, that we have this issue only with EOIO. (EO works good)
After the system has restarted, the first file from the queue was processed, but with a n error message "Could not delete file 'filename.dat' after processing: java.lang.NullPointerException"
(the delete option is on after the transfer)
Is there any possibility to check the mentioned "QuicSized" settings?
I just wanted to know, if there is an "unofficial" size limit of these queues.

We also need to know AIA 3.1 MDM (PDH) PIP's were released for 11g FMW. AIA 2.5 MDM PIP's uses 10g AS (SOA 10g).
Edelivery doesn't have MDM PIPS listed for AIA 3.1 or under AIA 11g. It has foundation pack but not specific to MDM PIP for Product that I'm looking for.

It is possible to use the VISA Driver Development Wizard to create a driver for your USB device, provided you have all the necessary information about the device such as vendor ID, product ID, and communication protocol. If all you are wanting to do is write data to the USB drive, then it might be easier to let the OS use it's own driver and just accesses the mounted drive with LabVIEW.

I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. It seems that error message occurs on the same machine with the previous Exchange Server you have decommissioned. Have you reinstall the Windows System after uninstall the Exchange
Server?
You need to check the registry keys but this is not efficient solution. The most efficient way is to reinstall the Windows if it is convenient.
