I try to integrate bookmarks from all my computers running firefox. I'm apparently not allowed to import new bookmarks in addition to the old ones since a warning tells my that already collected bookmarks will be deleted. What to do?
You could export the bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file onto the other computers. Importing HTML files adds the bookmarks to the existing ones. This can result in duplicate bookmarks.

An iPhone can only sync with one computer at a time. All of the music you want on your phone must be on the same computer. -
I buy all of our movies on our apple TV that is associated with my apple ID. I want to put a movie on my wife's new iPad but it gives me a 90 day warning that she won't be able to download anything. Ahh, thank you! What a pain in the neck. I figure I must have been signed into his account at some other point in time, maybe after... watching a movie..? [Though, that'd be the iTunes store, right? Not the App Store.] Anyway, some situation must've occured where I absentmindedly updated and iPhoto is now tied up with his account.
I'll go ahead and contact support to see if they can get me sorted. I suppose I can just ask him for his password, but.. oh, you know, it's a temporary solution and I guess I was just hoping to easily get iPhoto properly associated with myself again. Thank you! -

The power DVD app is active, and seems to download ok. You have already deleted the app?
I suspect what is happeneing is that a download is in your queue, and is blocking the queue until it completes, thus the message every time you try to do a down load. It may be failing because while it thinks you have the app, it is not finding it, and doesn't know what to do. ( sounds like a poorly designed download).
I think the way around this might be for you to resync with your iTunes, and let it reload the app onto your pad. Let it complete the download. Then, if you do not want the app, delete it again from your pad, and if you never want it, from I tunes as well.
The next time they do an update, you may wind up in the same situation, so if it happens again, until they fix the download routine, you will get stuck again.
So try the suggestion, and see if this clears it out.
The other option would be to open your account in I tunes on your computer, let it complete the download there. -

If I understand you correctly, you are asking how to resize your partitions for MacOS and Windows (Boot Camp) you don't want to reboot the computer to do it. If that is correct, then I don't know of any way for you to do what you want. In order to resize the partitions, you will need to reboot the OS that is running from the partitions, preferably exit the OS, resize the partitions, then restart the OS, so it has a clean view of the disk.

Why can't I open and retrieve my files from iPhoto and my Address Book after importing the files from my Power Mac G5 to my new Mac Pro? I get a warning that says the new OS on my Pro doesn't open files from a Power Mac. Any idea how I can fix this?
For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys. Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it. It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process. You must have your iTunes and App Stores set to the same country that your billing information is based in (i.e.: must use a US credit card in US iTunes and App Stores).
If you move to another country, you need to change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account. Otherwise, your credit card might not work as payment. For example, only German credit cards can be used to buy content from the German iTunes and App stores.

Upgraded from LR4 to LR5.7. Apparently successful download on iMac27" 5K running OS X10.2. Collections that were clear in LR4 appear badly blurred when opened in LR5.7. What's wrong?

John: I back up the catalogue (and optimize/check its integrity) every time I quit Lightroom - which is why excluding it from Time Machine isn't the end of the world. I did rename the catalogue early on in my troubleshooting process - as you say, I didn't like the fact I felt out of control of it.
I tried synchronizing a folder that had some flags: when I'd done there were three flags in the folder. (I have unclicked - and clicked and then unclicked - the 'unsaved metadata' checkbox in View Options: as I say, Lightroom shouldn't be displaying these flags at all.)
Rob: Thanks for understanding why I'm fretting! I've checked my XMP sidecars, as you suggest, and they have read and write privileges. I then checked the last-modified date on the XMPs that came up with flags after I'd synchronized that folder. One of them displayed the time I'd just synchronized the folder (it's one I haven't worked on apart from applying a blanket preset in LR2, and then a blanket update to PV2012 in LR4, as I've done to all the images I haven't yet worked on individually); the other two showed the time (I presume) I worked on them yesterday. I selected these three and applied command-S: they then showed, correctly, that they'd been modified a minute before. So far, that folder's now flag-free. (As I said in my original post, the flags sometimes do seem to vanish if I save enough times - and they're unpredictable, not necessarily appearing on the same images in a collection or folder as before I do I group save/clear conflict.)
Mollysnoot: I don't see how the Mac OS would be doing this (although who knows - I'm not a software expert). I don't have any other programs open that can modify images. And since these flags can reappear instantly when I've dealt with the conflict - before I've had time to take a breath, even - I don't think they represent any actual modifications. -
Just upgraded my system to snow leopard...now when I open documents from my memory stick, its in 'pages' not word...how do I fix that??
Did you click on the little triangle? Did you select one of the document files before pressing COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window? If the panel is closed it looks like this:
If you then click on that little triangle gadget you get this:
A temporary solution is to CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the document file, navigate to the Open With item, and select from the sub-menu.
The first method makes the association permanent. This method only applies to the currently selected document. -
Have in iPhone 4 that's not been ANY trouble in the last 18 months that I've had it, but all of a sudden it is not allowing me to connect to the iTunes shop at all. It's on ios7, and I've not tried to sync to my computer yet, but I thought I'd try here first

Getting a odd error. This code was working perfectly before a SQLServer upgrade.
The linked database is working, I'm able to pull up data from it in separate queries just fine.
I'm getting the following error.

It is not a good idea to use string dates for predicates in WHERE clauses.
Use DATETIME or DATE in predicates.
If you are not interested in the time part of DATETIME, use DATE datatype.
