please try first Adobe ID and registration support and Get help with orders, refunds, and exchanges and if necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences. iTunes gift cards can only be used to buy content from the iTunes store, app store, Mac app store and iBookstore. They can't be used with the steam store, and Apple (for info these are user-to-user forums) don't give refunds for gift cards - you could try taking the card back to the store that you bought it from (assuming that you haven't redeemed or scratched the silver strip off the card) and see if they will refund you, or (if it's not been redeemed) do you know anybody that you could sell it to ?

You've checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account menu option on your computer's iTunes), and have you made any in-app purchases or have any auto-renewing subscriptions ? How to reset security questions?? Wanted to make a purchase but won't let me since it's my first time so I have to answer security questions which i have forgotten and won't let me change when managing my apple id account

i wanted to make a purchase on the app store but it will not let me since it is my first time I have to answer my security questions. Those of which I do not remember at all, i also have no way in resetting them when loginning into my apple ID since i have to answer my security questions to be able to change them. If you have a gift card balance, iTunes will use that.
If the total is more than that, the difference will be charged to your credit card.
You need do nothing.

You don't change it.
It will use any account balance first, once it is gone, then it will go to your credit card.

Why can't I make a purchase in the American iTunes store?

I am a Canadian resident who would like to make a purchase in the US ITunes store. I don't know anyone in the US nor do I have a credit card with an American billing address. Is there any possible way for me to make a purchase in the American store, or am I pretty much screwed? I buy lots of music and all I want to do is give the US Store my money-why is this so hard? This wouldn't be an issue if the Canadian store just had what I am looking for (i.e. TV Shows!) -why does the selection vary from country to country anyway?

Again, It's not up to Apple. They would love to have every track available to everyone in the world. The record companies and other rights holder are different in every country, though, so they require separate negotiation by Apple for the rights in each country. And since the rights are held separately in different countries, they all restrict Apple (and every other legal download store) to selling only to users within that particular country.
So again, Apple can do nothing to change this unless and until the record companies arrive at a cross-border sales agreement, something I don't see happening anytime in the foreseeable future, even within the EU.

How can I install Mountain Lion in a VMware fusion, if it came with my macbook pro, and not purchased through the app store?

I have Mountain Lion on my Macbook Pro with Retina but I want to install Mountain Lion in a VM for application testing. I try to install it from the recovery partition but it states that when I put in my apple ID, it states that it was not purchased through the App Store. My OS came with my Macbook. Is there anything that I can do to get it to install in a VM?

Not really. The license that comes with pre-installed OS is only for that Mac.
