If you want to use a new ID, you'll have to create a new iCloud account using the new ID, then migrate your existing icloud data to the new account. Start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). Next, if you are syncing notes with iCloud, open them one at a time and email them to yourself so you can recreate them in the new account. Finally, if you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, turn off iCloud syncing in your iWork app settings.
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iPad when prompted. Then sign in with your new ID to create the new account, turn your iCloud data syncing back on and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
When you turn Mail to On you will create a new @icloud.com email account. You can go to icloud.com sign into your old account and set up email forwarding from your old iCloud email address to your new one if you wish

I use iBookAuthor to make a textbook for my students; I revised it, including title page, but when I export it and upload it to my iPad, the old title page appears, even though I've deleted the older version of the text before I upload the new one.

Last year I produced a textbook using iBookAuthor for my students. I exported it as an iBook and they uploaded it to their iPads. This year, I revised it, including revising the title page. However, when I upload the new version, the old title page is shown, not the new one. I deleted the older version of the textbook before I did this. I've been told that I can cut and paste each revised chapter into a new template and that will work; however, title page and glossary can't be cut and pasted. Any thoughts for getting the entire new version on the iPad? I'm also told that if it is uploaded to an iPad that never had a previous version of this textbook, it will upload correctly. But my iPad has had several older versions, now deleted.

I had a similar issue when trying to create an iBook file to submit for course credit for one of the Apple Learning Essentials classes I took. I had a book I'd started previously which I updated and submitted, and then had to make some edits to for the course evaluator. I made the edits, and when I previewed the book in iBooks Author, it looked correct, but whatever I sent to him only showed some of the edits - for example a new page I created was there, but some edits I made to image captions and the title page image were not.
What worked for me was to do a "Save as" of the actual Author file to a totally new location (I used the Desktop), and then submit that file - which seemed to work in terms of the changes sticking. I even used the same file name.
I'm not sure if some similar action might help you (maybe change the file name slightly?) or if you've already tried something like this.
Still doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty irritating bug.

It should remove it for you unless you are on a Mac. If that's the case, you do not NEED to uninstall the older version but there really isn't any reason to keep it.

You need an iLife '11 instal DVD. They are still available from Amazon I believe. You can update this to the last version (9.0.9) at: iMovie 9.0.9
If you are already familiar with iMovie 9, want to burn DVDs or have clips from old cameras then fine. If not I would recommend persevering with iMovie 10

Does anyone know how i can get the older versions of the ipod software on my nano because my nano had a feature that when i held down the menu button for a couple of seconds, the backlight turned on.......well ever since i downloaded the most recent software, everytime i hold down the menu button, it goes directly to the menu(which im not very enthusiastic about). I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family. While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick. First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices. In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads. We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac. To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way. A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well. With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc. So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts. My wife and I do the same thing. To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts. Here is the downfall to this: When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc. To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices. I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.
