IAS_101330_Apache2_Modplsql2_win32 universal installer not started

iAS_101330_Apache2_Modplsql2_win32 universal installer not started with Oracle 11g database installed in the same server. I tried to use the Oracle 11g universal installer to open the products.xml file under the iAS_101330_Apache2_Modplsql2_win32 directory. However, it still complained that all components must be 11g. Does anyone have experience installing Oracle 11g and Oracle HTTP Server in the same box? I don't want to use the embedded PL/SQL gateway.
Thanks.
Andy

I had faced the same problem exactly and looks like this is the expected behaviour with higher version of installer.
Please download 3540563 patch (which is a software of oracle universal installer) and install it in a seperate home and using that installer you should be able to install the apache.
I am trying the same but now i am getting this problem:
"Not all the dependencies for the component Oracle Client 10.2.0.1.0 could be found..."
I will update it again if i find any solution for my above problem.

    Thanks for the replies...
    FYI.
I have cloned an Oracle 9i database on a DR test server.
Now I am installing Oracle Application server 10g Forms and Reports (9.0.4) on Solaris 5.10
This is using a Oracle CD which is for Solaris 5.9 but using twp patches supplied by oracle to run the CD from. So it is able to run on Solaris 5.10. It has been done before but by some past DBA some 5 years ago. This is the first time I am attempting this being a new employee here.
    I have implemented these suggestions.
Especially the fact that it was looking for a gunzip utuility which it couldn't find. To make it easirer Ij ust copied the gunzip utility to the place it was looking for, and renamed it unzip. As it was loooking for unzip
    This worked and passed through.
Created the temp temp directory as welll so it would not have issues in not writting to the tmp directory.
The error I'm getting is below
    bash-3.2$ pwd
    /data02/FMSinvoice/appsFR904/INSTALL/ForSolaris5_10/4494701
    bash-3.2$ /data02/FMSinvoice/appsFR904/INSTALL/SOLARIS/RUNINSTA -paramFile /data02/FMSinvoice/appsFR904/INSTALL/ForSolaris5_10/4494701/ORAPARAM.INI

However I would prbably still get the java error. Should this not be resolved using Exceed though?

  • Oracle Universal Installer  not launching

    Hello all,
I have been facing a strange issue. I am trying to run Oracle Universal Installer in Aix5.3 platform to upgrade db patchset but for some reason it does not come up. I am trying to launch it through VNC session using vncviewer. Whenever i run runInstaller as ora<sid> user ...it just takes long time and nothing happens. The message i get is:
    All installer requirements met:
Preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer from /tmp/OraInstall...........Please Wait .....<hostname>:ora<sid>.....
This is all i get  but OUI doesnt not come up.. can anyone please tell me what seems to be the issue?
    thanks

    Hi,
    This problem frequently occurs because of the wrong DISPLAY settings. Please perform the steps on a X-term terminal screen;
    1) under root user
    2) xhost +
    3) su - ora<sid>
    4) echo $DISPLAY
    5) setenv DISPLAY <client ip>:(result of echo $DISPLAY) (for example setenv  DISPLAY 192.168.1.100:0.0)
    6) xclock (test X-Client)
If it works then you will be able to run "./runInstaller", for example
    cd /oracle/stage/102_64/database/Disk1/SAP
    ./RUNINSTALLER
You can check the [installation guide|https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000359232008E], also. Search for "4.4.3 Running the Oracle Universal Installer" title and read the details,

I am invoking "runInstaller" from remote machine over VNC. The machine that I am going to install 9.2.0.2 has Oracle 10.2.0.4 alreading running. I am installing Oracle 10g R2 on Windows 2000 Compact ProLiant ML570 with 4 CPUs (x86 Family 6 Intel 701 Mhz), 1 Gb of memory, eight disks and one disk controller.). It has 9i already installed. I downloaded the 10g software and extracted the file into a local folder, however when i click setup.exe, the cmd window fires up saying it is starting up the installer. The command prompt then disappears and no installer is started! I have also try clicking the autorun file and the oui.exe which is within the install directory with no avail. Is this a bug? but then 9i is already installed and the 9i gui fires up fine?

  • OS X Lion installer not starting correctly

    Hi,
I have a Late 2007 MacBook (2GB RAM, 2.20 GHz Core 2), and the Lion installer isn't running right.  I have OS X 10.6.8 so that is fine, but the odd thing is that whenever I try to run the installer, the dock expands to make room for the new app, but then shrinks again, and I get no error telling me that the program closed accidentally.  What is going on?
    Any help would be appreciated!

Check to see if the startup disk needs repairing before installing Lion.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click:  Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, start up from your Mac install disc to make repairs.
Make sure your Mac can run Lion >  OS X Lion - Technical Specifications

Your video card appears to be missing one or more features required to run Call of Duty.
You should install the latest drivers for your video card, being sure to uninstall the old drivers first. If you already have the latest drivers, you should completely uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them. This fixes most problems. If the game still doesn't work, it may be that your video card does not have the minimum features required. Please check the readme for more information, including a list of supported video cards.

When he installed the new fibre hub, did he use his laptop to take settings off old white hub and put it on new one?... way to check is dial into the hub ( 192.168.1.254 ) go to setting and then wireless, and see if the hub name and key are the same that is printed on card and back of hub....as this could be your problem...one thing to try is set the new hub back to default ( you will have to reconnect anything that uses wireless ) and see if this sorts it out.

  • Oracle Universal Installer not working for 64 bit

Hi all, since I could not get the 32 bit ODP to work for me I decided to try the 64 bit but when I proceed to lauch the 64 bit installer I get the following message on my 64 bit machine.
Java(tm) 2 Platform Standard Edition binary has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program, and notify you if a solution is available.
Does anyone know why this might be?
    Thank you,
    John

I am not sure what an SO is.
As for the OS that I am using. My client Development Machine is running x64 Vista Ultimate and so far nothing works on it.
I am trying to programatically connect to an Oracle Express Edition on a Linux machine that has the same hardware as my dev server above (AMD 64).
I am also trying to not vent on this forum about the poor quality of product that I have experienced so far with Oracle as nothing that I have installed so far has worked. Please see my other recent Posts.
    Thank you,
    John

  • Installation not starting on IBM T23

Trying to install Solaris Express, Developer Edition on my IBM T23. Instalation process crash at the beginning with an error: "cannot find framebuffer driver". Need some explanation. Why it happens.

    Hi Raul,
This question probably belongs in the other Endeca forum.
Should be able to help you there...is it safe to say you are simply following the installation guide?  The installation process is long and arduous and I find most customers run into issues when any steps are skipped or modified.
    Regards,
    Patrick

  • Why did the installation not start after downloading trial version of PS Elements 12?

Looking for a low price photo editor to touch up old photos that I have scanned from snapshots. My last software was the free Photoshop that came with an older version of Windows. I am currently running Win/XP on a Dell Vostro 1500, I know I should be upgrading but this machine still works for me.

Thank you Ls29_GP40 I would recommend reviewing your PDApp.log file for the exact error.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the PDApp.log at Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover from the log to this discussion.
