IAS not sending VLAN or switch not getting VLAN assignment

HELP!
My config looks right but I am unable to assign VLAN dynamically via 802.1x. Attached is my config and debug.

Your debug output doesn't look quite right. The switch expects a tag number (number 1) to be sent along with the VLAN name, and you'd normally see this in the Radius debug output. For example, yours shows:
Attribute 81 12 6C61626E
where 81 is the attribute number, 12 is the length, and 6c61626e is the hex values of the first 4 bytes of the VLAN name (6C=l, 61=a, 62=b, 6E=n, etc) that you're returning.
What it should look like though is this:
Attribute 81 11 01544541
Note the first byte is 01 for tag number 1, then you get the actual VLAN name (54=T, 45=E, 41=A, etc).
I'm not sure how to set up IAS to return a tag number in attribute 81, check your IAS configuration and see if it can be done. I've known other people to get this working with IAS so it must be possible, I just don't have an IAS server handy that I can check with, sorry.

  • Updated my phone, now e-mail will not send because server does not allow relaying

Updated iphone 3GS to iOS 5, now my company e-mail will not send "because server does not allow relaying".  I'm just an employee, not an IT type - have no idea what this means and I'm very frustrated. Also infuriated with Apple because THEIR update caused this to happen, yet I have to PAY for their support because I have an older iPhone. Someone please help.

razmee209, thanks for your reply. After signing up for the community, I saw that I wasn't the only one. However, I think I've solved it by looking over the comments in reply to others with this problem.
First, I think the iOS5 update may have made the phone default to IMAP setting. I noticed when I deleted my account and re-set it up that there is a large button at the top for either IMAP or POP. It is already defaulted to IMAP, but my account must be POP.  So this is the first thing to check when you're setting up your account.
Second, I noted some other comments about needing to supply a username and password to the outgoing server even though it says optional. I included those, but got a message that it wasn't recognized (or something like that) and did I want to continue anyway. I told it to continue. After a few seconds, it verified my account, and now everything works.
Hope this helps others having this problem.

  • Hyper-V VM not talking to Physical Switch on Tagged VLANs

    Hello!
I'm having a problem where a VM is not communicating with its trunked VLANs.
    My configuration:
    Windows Server 2012 R2 configured with Hyper-V
VM 1 has 4 Virtual NICS. One of the NIC2 is connected to vSwitch 1. vSwitch 1 is using an external network - a Windows NIC Team consisting of 4 Ethernet ports.
All 4 ports are connected to a physical Cisco switch in a link aggregation group with LACP. The LAG is configured on the switch as follows:
    Trunk
    VLAN 1 Tagged
    VLAN 2 Untagged & PVID
    VLAN 3 Tagged
    VLAN 4 Tagged
    VLAN 5 Tagged
    VLAN 6 Tagged
    VLAN 7 Tagged
No VLANs are configured in Hyper-V itself.
VM1 runs an OS other than Windows, and several  interfaces are configured using NIC2. One interface per VLAN.
    Interface 1 VLAN 1 10.10.1.254/24
    Interface 3 VLAN 3 10.10.3.254/24
    Interface 4 VLAN 4 10.10.4.254/24
    Interface 5 VLAN 5 10.10.5.254/24
    Interface 6 VLAN 6 10.10.6.254/24
    Interface 7 VLAN 7 10.10.7.254/24
Each interface should be able to talk to the switch though its VLAN and allow traffic to pass though. But it does not.
Can anyone please suggest a way to get this working?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi ,
I am afraid  the command "Get-VMNetworkAdapter " could not help you out .
" Hyper-V leverages 802.1q VLAN trunking to achieve this objective. To utilize this functionality, a virtual network switch must be created on the host and bound to a physical network adapter that supports 802.1q VLAN tagging. "

  • I can not send e-mail as i get an authentication rejected message

I just purchased a new IMac and had no problem sending e-mails for a few days until after I had been asked for my server password and entered the wrong one by mistake. Shortly after that when Itry to send an e-mail I get a message "Authentication rejected, Try Later." Trying later has the same result. I checked with my server and there is no problem there. In fact I am able to send e-mails using my I-Pad so something needs to be corrected on my I-Mac. What should I do?

    Hello miltonfrombellevue,
To troubleshoot the issue of not being able to send email from Mail on your iMac, please follow the directions in the article below.

  • Can not send emails says relaying not allowed

I am trying to access my mail account on my I pad.  I have put all the settings in and outgoing smtp but when I send it goes straight to outbox saying it does not allow relaying. What have I done wrong?

    Hi KP
Sorry, not compoletely iPad friendly, but have had the original iPad for some time, but am constantly getting the issue around relaying. Have tried the optional email account name and pw in the SMTP server, but alas the Orange pop account seemed to have scuppered me to date! Any help / suggestions most appreciated, cheers.

  • IMessage does not send when receiver is not online

I am trying to send an iMessage to another iPhone (version 5.0.1) that is not online (not on 3G) at this moment. I have used iMessage to this person before when that iPhone was on wifi. In my settings I have "send as sms/text" turned on. So I am expecting that the message is going via the cellular sms/text, but the receiver does not get anything (using another phone works well so the receiver can receive sms/text messages).
What could be the problem here? Thanks to all for helping me out here.

Hi Allan, thanks for taking the time to help.
Let me explain a little bit further. My sons iPhone does not have a dataplan, only call/sms plan. I use iMessage with him when he is on a wifi at home or at school.
But now he is not on wifi and I want to sms/text him. My wife with an Android can SMS him fine. He can SMS me as well but my SMS does not get delivered. So he has cellular reception.
With "send as SMS" turned on in settings, I would expect my message to be transfered via SMS. The send button is still blue, suggesting iMessage is still used and not green (which would suggest SMS).
    Thanks for the help!

  • One of my email accounts will not send email, and is not linked to data file.

I have three email accounts set up with my Outlook 2010. All are POP3. All three accounts have been working fine, until the last day or so. One of my accounts will no longer allow me to send messages. When I go to my account settings, the two accounts that
    are working show the following:
Selected account delivers new messages to the following locations:
    Email Address\Inbox
    in data file C:\...
The one that doesn't work shows the following:
Selected account delivers new messages to the following locations:
    My Name\Inbox
The .ost data file for this email address is still in the same place, right next to the other two data files for the working accounts. For some reason, Outlook no longer has it linked to my account. How can I go about fixing this issue?
    Thanks.

    Hi Gwidion,
Outlook 2010 and 2013 create PST per POP3 account. In simple, single PST file for single POP3 account. So, don’t be panic. Just change the location of the
PST data file by following the given path in Outlook 2010:
File >> Account Settings >>  Emails
In the “Email” tab, choose the particular account which is not able to send emails and make a double click on it or click on
“Change Folder” option. Finally, set the location of Email address.
Hopefully it will help, otherwise simply recreate a new Outlook profile.

  • Could not send notification, device does not have a apns token

I dont know what this means....for ipad 3 with mobile iron..

This might help ya -> iOS: Understanding Notifications
    Troubleshooting notifications
Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you are not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
    1. Verify that the app supports notifications.
    2. After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app at least once to begin receiving notifications.
    3. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
    4. Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    5. If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.

  • Communications data: Could not send SLD data - still not resolved

    Hello,
SAPMMC shows this error in my PI system while startup.
RZ70, Visual Admin -> SLD Data Supplier are OK and SLD has my ABAP - Java systems registered.
What can be causing this when everything works fine?
    Thanks
    Gökhan

    Yes,
It is critical to obtain a connection to the SLD as XI will access and maintain the central data from this SLD. Since you have mentioned that it is a fresh installation, check all the post-installation steps again. Check for the SLD connections in the RFC destination. Check if the SLD data supplier you have created for XI is working fine. Check the connections from SLD to SAP are fine.
    Award if helpful.

  • Why can I receive emails but not send them?

I have an iPhone 4, and I recently updated to iOS 7. Since the. I have not been able to send any emails. I am able to receive them, but not send them. I keep getting an error message saying that something is wrong with my password or username. I have tried to hard restart the phone, revert to a backup from before I updated the phone, and also deleted all emails and redid them, all with the same result. What should I do, and if it's a consistent problem with the new system, when is Apple going to fix it?

Yes, I have tried everything the sites have said besides taking it in to the Genius Bar. I tried hard restarting it, making sure my internet connection worked, moving off and on other networks, used an old backup to when I had iOS 6, deleting al my email accounts and adding them back, none of it has worked.

  • ICal email reminders are not sending

My email reminders from iCal are executing but they are remaining in the outbox and are not sending. I'm not sure why. In order to send them I have to open up each one individually and send them.
I'm on 10.5.2 and using a .mac account.

Yeah, same problem here. Used to work fine, but since I switched to Leopard (10.5.2), it hasn't worked yet. Mail sends emails fine, but doesn't via iCal. Not sure how to test or troubleshoot this besides using test events.
Anyone know of an iCal log somewhere?
    Thanks,
(Ha! Mail just crashed, as I was typing this. I think I'll stick with Entourage. Anyway of telling iCal to use Entourage?)
(Maybe I'll just set up a Google Calendar and sync to that and have Google email me reminders. Jeez...)

  • I can not send a sms message with my iphone4S ios 5.1

I can send as mms and call but I can not send sms

So you did not read about iMessage before you bought the iPad? If you did, you would know that you can only text other iOS 5 users.
    http://www.apple.com/ios/features.html#imessage says:
    iMessage
iPad and iPod touch join the conversation.
With iMessage, we’ve created a new messaging service for all iOS 5 users. You can send unlimited text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to anyone with one of those devices. iMessage is built into the Messages app, so you can send text, photos, videos, locations, and contacts. Keep everyone in the loop with group messaging. Track your messages with delivery receipts and optional read receipts, see when someone’s typing, and enjoy secure encryption for text messages. Even start a conversation on one of your iOS devices and pick up where you left off on another.
