IC WebClient profile assigment problem

I have a problem with the webclient profile assignment to my end users.  I don't have that problem.  When I try to assign the webclient profile to my end user through the org and their position, the new profile never display once the users logon into CRM.  It's just display a standard SAP webclient "default" profile.  I did everything I can the same as mine, but it did not work for my users.  Is there any othe way to assign this customized web client profile to my users except assign them through their position in the org.  I check and they are correctly integrated in the org with the employee role, and their user id are populated in CRM correctly.  I also check the CRMM_IC_APDISPLAY, and it indicates the correct customizing profile like mine, only when they launch CRM_IC, the profile did not reflect with the conrrect entry in CRMM_IC_APDISPLAY.  Please help because all the customization is done, and my user can't use them.  Thank you in advance and will rewards points.

You can try going to transaction SU01 to see that their roles and profiles are setup correctly. If they don't have the correct access there, they won't be seeing anything.
Other than that, you said you checked to ensure that they were properly set up in the business partner, meaning that in the Identification tab they have their user id is properly selected under the Employee Data box. Then from there, you want to make sure that they are properly assigned to the right position, in the right cell of the structure (transaction PPOMA_CRM).
The last thing I would check to see is if the correct IC WebClient Profile is selected for the cell. You can do this by going to transaction PPOMW and selecting the cell you need to look at. From there, select Goto ->Detail Object ->Enhanced Object Description. From there, if you select the line for IC WebClient Profile there should be a green check right next to it. If not, you'll have to create one for the cell. Do that by clicking the Create Infotype button and then selecting the correct IC WebClient Profile and saving.
If all of these things are set up properly, your user should be able to see the customized version of your webclient.
Hope that helps...

  • IC Webclient Profiles

Hi, we started customizing the IC Webclient trough profiles (as described in the "Consultant's Cookbook for IC Webclient CRM 4.0", Chapter 3).
Assigning profiles seem to work, but the profile xml-tags in the profile ("<ControllerReplacements>") don't have any effects on the webclient. Any solution for this problem? We use version 6.20.
    Thanks.

    Manoj, try the following steps!
Note: as said above, make sure you have all your profiles linked right (might be a little confusing):
    - assign your profile to the user(s) (Organizational Management: transaction “po10”)
    - set the parameter as described above (transaction "SU01"
add the parameter for the user (Name:CRM_ICWC_TEST, Value:0X23456789)
    - in ic webclient profile set the "framework profile" to your modified XML framework profile. (see below for an xml example)
    - find out which controller you want to replace by starting the webclient (in the browser) and hover the mouse over the view's title
    - copy and modify it (if you copy a standard view to your bsp app. for modification (see consultant's cookbook), make sure you copied the view AND the controller and don't forget to activate both!)
-assign it in the the framework profile and save.
-check the results in your browser!
    Wolfram
    </WorkareaDefinition>
    <ControllerReplacements>
    <ControllerReplacement>
    <ReplacedController>theView</ReplacedController>
    <ReplacingController>yourApp/yourView</ReplacingController>
    </ControllerReplacement>
    </ControllerReplacements>

  • Opportunity is not showing In IC Webclient Profile Screen

    Dear all,
I have called a Opportunity Transaction type in IC Webclient Profile by assigning Business Transaction Profile to ICWC Profile.
Now I can see that opportunity in navigation bar profile, but when I click on it, system is giving an error message saying
" Execution not possible; data flow errors".
and some times opportunity screen is opening in display mode.
I don't know why this problem is coming. Any of you please help  me to resolve this problem.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
Opportunity screen is opening in display mode because you may have configured it to open in display mode in Transaction Launcher wizard. If you change the same to "Change" mode it will open in change mode.
Besides, the security authorizations suggested by Glenn. You should also ensure your Internet Explorer security settings are also appropriate. You need to add the relevant website to Trusted site also.

  • The IC WebClient profile does not have a component 'ERP Sales Order'

    Hi CRM Experts,
While creating the ERP Sales Order in web-IC
we have bumped into following error:
"The IC WebClient profile does not have a component 'ERP Sales Order'".
And also we are not able to see sales area data and Plant data in the drop down lists.
we have done the following settings:
    1) ERP Sales Order Profile:we have defined ERP Sales Order profile, maintained RFC destinatin and assigned document type to ERP Profile.
    2) Business Transaction Launcher: We have defined the Business Transaction Profile and assigned dependent business transaction.
    3) We have assigned the Business Transaction Profile to the Navigation Bar Profile.
Please suggest me regarding above error also let us know did we miss any configuration?
    Waiting for your valuable inputs.
    Regards,
    Sree.

    Hi Sree,
There is a setting needed for the IC webclient
    ERP_SALES_ORDER
you need to define ERP sales order profile and assign it to your ic webclient profile.
And the ERP sales order scenario can only be used with a ERP 6.0 backend system, at least.

  • IC WebClient Profile

    Hi Experts,

    Points will be rewarded!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How is an Order Routing rule connected to the IC Webclient Profile

I created a simple ERMS order routing rule that If priority equals very high then route to John Smith whom is assigned to the IC Web position in PPOMW.
When I create a service ticket and mark it very high and choose the ESCALATE button the message no rule for routing was found.
I don't see anyway to connect this rule to our IC Webclient profile, or why the rule wasn't envoked. Will give points.
Edited by: John Burton on Apr 21, 2008 2:54 PM

    Hello Glenn,
Yes, you are correct. In addition to creating a Rule Modeler policy via the IC Manager role (accessible from the BSP view or Enterprise Portal), the business user also needs to request that IT (or someone) add the name of the Rule Modeler policy as an attribute of the RE_RULE_EXEC service for the applicable Service Manager profile in the IMG configuration for the relevant Rule Modeler context (Order Routing, ERMS, etc.). I certainly agree with you that the business user and the IT user as generally two different people. And if they are the same person, Sarbanes Oxley probably has something to say about that Your point is definitely valid. Perhaps in the future we need to be more considerate of the distinction of job responsibilities of business user versus IT user when designing products and solutions.
By the way, just as an aside... some Rule Modeler contexts can only use one Service Manager profile (for example Order Routing must always use a Service Manager profile called "SAP_ORDERROUTING") while other contexts can use multiple Service Manager profiles. For example, as of CRM 2005 (CRM 5.0) it is possible in transaction CRMC_ERMS_SM_PDET to assign different Service Manager profiles directly to different inbound email addresses for ERMS. And by assigning a different Rule Modeler policy to each Service Manager profile, you can use different root/default Rule Modeler policies for each incoming email address.
    Warm regards,
    John

  • How to Call SAP ECC transactions into CRM IC Webclient Profile Screen

    Dear all,
We are implementing IC Webclient application for our Clientu2019s call center operations.
All sales related activities are being created in back end SAP ECC system like, starting from Quotation to Sales Order, Deliveries and Billing.
Client wants to see all relevant ECC reports of Sales transactions in IC Webclient Screen.
Connectivity between SAP CRM and ECC has already been established and we did all basic configuration for IC Webclient, but donu2019t know how to and where to call ECC transaction in IC Webclient Screen.
I am looking for suggestions from any of you to handle this requirement successfully. I would be grateful if you send me any documentation which addresses this requirement.
Your suggestions and help will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
Step-by-step process for the same is as follows:
    1. Create a launch transaction to launch the relevant BOR object at the following
    IMG->CRM->IC WebClient->Basic Functions->Transaction launcher -> Configure Transaction Launcher (Wizard).
This wizard is very useful and easy way to create a launch transaction and guides through each step and generates a handler class for you.
    2. This transaction now has to be incorporated in the Navigation bar. For this you have to create navigation bar entry and navigation bar profile.
IMG-> CRM-> IC WebClient->Basic Functions -> Define Navigation Bar Profiles
Here you have to first Define Entries where you would input Launch transaction ID created in step 1 and then Define the Navigation Bar Profile.
    3. Assign the Navigation bar profile to IC WebClient profile.
Please note that you can you Transaction launcher for incorporating any web links, PCUI Transactions, CRM Transactions, ERP transactions etc.
    Regards,
    Deepak

  • Customize IC WebClient Profile

    Hi all,
I started working on CRM 5.0 ICWC and i am facing some customization issue,
I have copied BuPaMoreContactView.htm view of CRM_IC BSP Application into Z_CRM_ICW appln,
In Framework Profile setting, I have maintained the Contoller Subsitute Z_CRM_ICW for CRM_IC.
Also created one IC Web Client Profile for copiying the default profile setting into it, and have assigned
framework profile  in the webclient profileu2019s functional profile u2018RUNTIMEu201D.
I have attached the IC WebClient profile to my User Id..
But still I am not able to see the modifications that I have done in the Z BSP Application.
Is there any link between framework profile and IC WebClient profile which I am missing ??
I checked through notes in oss there i am supposed create some BP and assigned that , canone anyone tell me how to save BP and where to assign that if required.
    regards
    Saurabh khanna

    Hi Saurabh
    In Transaction SU3 use:
    Parameter: CRM_ICWC_TEST
    Parameter Value: xX3456789
Did you copy the controller for the view, Ideally you should copy the controller from transaction BSP_WD_WORKBENCH, this will take the view with it.
    Hope this helps

  • Pfcg roles behind ic webclient profiles

    Hi,
Can anybody tell what are PFCG roles behind for each IC Webclient profiles like SALES B2B, SALES B2C, SERVICE.... (tx: crmc_ic_main)
    thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
Again, PFCG roles are a combination of authorisations, that define what the person linked to the role can do.
e.g. An authorisation is defined that th role can create/change/read sales orders. Within the same role there is an authorisation that indicates that the role cannot create Service Contracts. and so on...
These are standard authorisations that are used by the system.
    Hope this is clear now.
ps. Don't forget to reward points if the answers are usefull and when you question is answered reward points and put the question to answered.
    Kind regards,

  • IC Webclient starts with problems

    Hi all,
I'm new in IC WEB, especially in version 5.2. The question is I tried to launch IC Web client (transaction se80->test) as I used to do in 5.0, but It doesn't show neither navigation bar nor IdentifyAccount view, I mean, it only shows the top label and its buttons. I did assing my user to a position in ppoma_crm and also to a ic web profile. I did launch all ICF services.
Any ideas?? I'll reward with points!!
    Thanks in advance.
Edited by: Marc Terrones on Dec 19, 2007 11:14 AM

    Hi all,
the problem is not in the HOSTS file because I can launch the IC Webclient. The main thing is that despite I can launch IC Webclient, it doesn't show neither navigation bar nor IdentifyAccount view which is, in fact, the default view, this area just remains blank!!. I remember reading in Iexplorer status bar something like "starting subprogram applet" when the IC Web was running properly but this message doesn't even appear. I just change from version 5.0 to version 5.2 and that is because it isn't working. Maybe there has something to do the fact that in transaction spro(IMG) there isn't the entry "Interaction Center Webclient".
    I hope hearing from you.
    Regards.
    Bye.

  • CRM IC Webclient - Massive Performance Problems Searching in Agent Inbox

    Hi Forum,
can somebody help me. We have massive Search Performance problems in Interaction Center Webclient in Agent Inbox. When agents searching, for example for open emails, the time to get a result takes approx. 2-3 minutes.
Thats absolute inadmissible and endangered the running business.
The queury reading the eMails from the workitem tables is very very slow.
Could somebody help me with ideas to solve this big performance problem. Have somebody the same problems?
Thank you very much in advance for any information.
We use Interaction Center Webclient on CRM Release 5.0
    Thorsten

Another aspect you could check is the following:
Analysis performed didn't show anything strange nor any high consumers
of the response time. The processing time occurs, since IC-Web on CRM 5
is a bit demanding for CPU power.
The only thing that could improve the performance a bit is the
<b>buffering of org structure</b>, which is currently switched off for
SALES and SERVICE scenarios as per table T77OMATTSC.
The report <b>HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE</b> is running regulary
however no scenario is being placed in the buffer to speed up
org structure read. Please check this and provide feedback.
How to use this report, can be found back in the Reports own documentation and also in SAP HELP.
    cheers
    Davy
