ICWC - dropdown for Category field in IRecReason

HI All,
I have added the 'Activity Category' field in the Interaction Record of ICWC. This field is part of standard, in view IRecReason under Context Node 'Category'.
I am now looking at the ways to provide the dropdown as well. Can someone guide me on this?

I think this time I am getting it right . You have to use the Category Modeller for the values .
In that case , this is how you can access the Category Modeler
Go to  SE80 -> BSP CRM_BSP_FRAME ,  select.htm ( Page with Flow Logic ) and Execute
It will open up browser , Select CRMM_ERM_CAT Category Modeler ( from the huge list of PCUI application )
Maintain your categories ( Upto 5 levels , you can make sure ) .
Make sure for the Category Hierarchy you create , assign  Application = Business Activity , Parameter = Subject Profile , Value = Activity Reason.
Next , in the Transaction Type Header Config , under Transaction Type -> Transaction Category ( Business Activity ) -> Customizing
Select the Subject Profile as 'Activity Reason'.

  • CRM 7.0 WebUI:  Dropdown for second field is based on first field value

    Hi,
    I created an all-custom search/result component, now having one challenge - requirement is - on result list, when in change mode, the second field should have a dropdown list which is filled based on the first field value, where user can pick one.  I searched this forum and SAP docs, so far I haven't found a solution. Has anyone done this? or have you seen any SAP standard screens having this kind of function?

    Hi Steven,
    You will rarely see a result list component in change mode.
    Anyhow, to fulfill your requirement, you have to trigger a round trip for the first field when a value is selected.
    You can do this by specifying a dummy event in GET_P method.
    The GET_V method of the second field will trigger for this round trip and you can trigger the values.

  • Issue in creating a dropdown for Industry sector field

    Am trying to create a dropdown for Indusry field. 3 dropdown should come up for Industry sector field namely primary,secondary and tertiary.Corresponding to the value selected in primary,data should come up in Secondary and corresponding to value selected in secondary ,data should up in tertiary.Am only able to fetch the value at first instance but corresponding values are not coming up secondary and tertiary.I have followed the procedure that had to be followed in order to make a field as dropdown.Can anyone Please help.

  • Category field in Activity Application

    We are facing the following problem while creating UI level changes in the Activity BSP application.
    While creating a new Activity, the entry chosen in the “CATEGORY” field from the dropdown menu, in the search result’s LIST view, disappears after pressing “ENTER” or “SAVE” button. However in the FORM view the entries chosen for “CATEGORY” field remain displayed on pressing “ENTER” or “SAVE” button.
    Would like to point out that the Domain values for the Activity Category have been custom created and we are not using any of the standard Activity Categories provided by SAP.
    Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    We have similar problem on the Category field.
    We just want custom entries appeared in the drop down listbox but not SAP standard entries.
    although we have defined our custom entries in customizing spro but SAP standard entries sill apear in the Category listbox. How can we disappear the SAP entries ? Anybody has some idea ?

  • Creation of drop down for a field which is created using otr

    Hi experts
    I have a requirement wherein i have to create a dropdown for a field which is added using otr (online text repository).
    When i did an F2 on the field on the UI i found that it had no context node and attribute and the view in the component workbench did not have a configuration also. The coding for that field is done in the htm page of that view using otr.
    For this field i need to create a dropdown (the dropdown values will be fixed). I thought it would be better to code in the method do_init_context.
    Request you to help me out with the code for this requirement as i do not have any idea with regard to otr.

    1.You need to maintain a page attribute(dd_list_type) which is of table type to the htm page of your view.
    2.Then in the set_models method of your view controller add the following code:
    * Put the data into the view attribute
      view->set_attribute(

            value  = lt_list_type ).
    You can add OTR text list to the internal table lt_list_type.
    3.Then add the following code to .htm
    * ADDITIONAL CODING IN VIEW

  • Drop down in Dialog programming for a field on the screen

    Hi Friends !
    I have 2 screen fields  zfield1- Indicator and zfield- answer .
    The user wants a drop down for indicator as X or Blank to choose from and for answer  the user wants YES or NO as the dropdown .
    How do i create these dropdowns for the fields ?
    Do I need to create search help or does dialog give other options to add these dropdowns.

    What is this "Category" field we can insert in the Summary view of Project Center. I dragged several projects in a specific security Category (Project Server permission mode) but this field is always empty.

    Hi,
    We can specify additional project properties while creating new project. This "category" field is part of those additional information. You can find value for this field in Project Center if you set the value while creating a project. Below are the steps.
    1) Create new Project
    2) Click on file >> Info >> Click on "Project Information" >> Advance Properties.
    3) Under summary tab, you can find "category" field. Once you set the value and publish the project, you will see the value in Project Center for category field.
    So this category field has different purpose and will not display the security category.

  • For Z Po order type - Item category field is  greyed out.

    Hi MM Experts,
    I am an ABAper working on PO creation with respect to PR( PR with account assignment N)  for Z order type . The requirement includes to update item category of PO with B , But for this Z order type both PO transaction Create/Change(ME21/ME22) the field item category has been greyed out ( Non editable). I checked the SPRO setting for this order type ( SPRO-MM->Purchasing-PO->Define Screenlayout at document level .The field item category has been made as optional.
    Please let me know why this field ( item category still showing in display mode) and How to make it as editable .I need it as editable in ME22 to implement the new requirement of updating that field with item ategory B.

    Since I was creating a PO with respect to PR - after running through all the screens the item category field was becoming non editable, But during the create in one of screen the field item category was still editable, so I updated the item category with B during the create and created the PO, I have used BDC to do the same and its working fine.   • Risk category field is missing in dso for 0fiar_o09 credit management.

    Hi BI Experts,
    I am using the standard extractor for the credit management dso 0fiar_o09.  The field for risk category originates from our R3 system in table knkk-ctplc.  It displays correctly in the psa.  The transformation rsds 0fi_ar_9 maps it to 0risk_categ.  It appears as an infoObject in the infoSource.  The trcs transformation maps the rule also.
    However, when I try to display the data in the dso, the risk category field does not display at all.
    Please help with any possible suggestions to display the missing field.

    I resolved this issue by removing the check in the  'attribute only' selection on the general tab of the infoObject.

  • Values not appearing in Dropdown for field

    Hi All ,
    My issue is that i have a field in a table which has a dropdown list for choosing values. Somehow the dropdown does not contain any values.
    The dropdown is supposed to fetch the fixed values from the value range of the standard domain 'SO_ESCAPE'. when i click on the dropdown an empty list appeard, where as the dropdown appears for a different field in the same table.
    in the field attributes for this field in screen painter the value list is set as from DDIC/flow logic.
    Can anyone help me out on this pls ???

    Thanks for all you suggestion..... I have solved the issue...
    The domain used a standard SAP domain SO_ESCAPE. The issue was that in the domain there was a value range (intervals) defined ( 1 - 9) and also few single values were defined.
    The single value had alphabetic keys, hence there was an ambiguity..
    The interval range allows to enter only values within the interval and the single values were having alphabetic keys. Also because the field is a dropdown we cannot enter values manually also.
    Now ia copied the domain to a Z domain and took away the interval.

    In the iTunes List View, you can change or enter info for most columns for a song, for example the name column, by simply clicking in that column. The insertion point appears and you can type or change the name of an item. However, this doesn't happen for the Category field. If you click it, no insertion point appears. Plus, the Category field doesn't appear in the "Get Info" window.
    What is this Category field for?

    I believe Category is mainly used for Podcast tagging where the author of podcasts can categorize the type of podcast. For example, Cartoon, Music, Comedy, Spoken Word, or whatever categories you normally see for podcasts in the Apple Store.
    If you have podcasts, go to the podcasts and turn on the Category header to see what I mean.

    The only items I have that show a category are some iTunes U downloads.

    You could monitor the SMSProv.log when you check the category of an application. It shows that SQL query the SCCM provider used is related to function fn_ListCategoryInstances.
