using my  id and password the same as the forum's' which always worked for me
adobe fails to login and activate cs5 version  can't imegine the reason .
anyone has some idea ???   please help

The Adobe ID has nothing to do with activation, it is only required for CS Live services. Call support by phone regarding serial number issues. nobody here can help you with that. As for the rest simply check your networking stuff - sounds like a generic outbound connection problem/ failure/ blockage. Could be anything from your router to security tools...

    I had a working AD configuration under Snow Leopard. When I upgraded to Mountain Lion, my account was no longer in sync with the domain. I got the red dot on the login screen and my domain password was out of sync. I unhooked from the domain at that point. This was several months ago.
    However, over the last few weeks, I keep finding myself locked out of the domain. I suspect it's something on my Mac that is trying to use my old credentials. I was hoping to rejoin the domain and see if I could get my account back in sync. When I get a domain admin to enter his password on the Directory Utility join screen, it first notes that the computer account already exists in the domain. I tell it to continue, but I can't get past this point:

    Had the same issue and discovered that I made my AD object name too long (16 instead of 15 character which is the limit) You might want to try making the computer object name shorter if you can.

    Have you logged on to the webmail account using a browser and enabled either Pop or Imap forwarding for that email address?
    Have you created a mail account in Thunderbird that uses the chosen webmail forwarding option?
    Password - make sure caps lock is not switched - it must be the same password you use to access the webmail account.

    Sounds like you may have deleted something you shouldn't have. Boot to an OS X DVD or a bootable backup, and using Disk Utility, do a repair disk, and while there repair permissions. Disconnect any peripherals, and reboot. If you get the same startup behavior, do a safe boot, by holding the shift key down when booting. If that works, try a normal boot. If neither step helps, you may need to relaod your operating system.

    The only other place to change a password for the computer login is in Users & Groups preferences. But I don't really know enough here to fix your problem. You can try fixing the keychain:

    If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
    First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
      1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
      2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
      3. Click the "First Aid" tab

    After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
    Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
    Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
    Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
    Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.

    I am getting really frustrated with the difficulty of activating my Creative Suite 5.5 and am wondering if anyone with sufficient technical knowledge can assist me.
    I purchased and installed my CS5.5. around a week ago, and have been using it every day since. However, today, I received an error message stating that Adobe is unable to activate my software. If I fail to activate in within a certain number of days, the programme will cease to function. Following the error message, I tried to activate it through the internet, but I kept receiving the error message that the computer was unable to connect to the internet. There were no issues with my internet connection because I was able to surf the internet. And to be sure, I also did the "cmd -> ping activate.adobe.com" thing that Adobe website suggested. Still, there was no conclusive help.
    So I spoke to the support team through the online chat support service, and the support officer asked me to call the technical support. When I called the hotline, I found out that  technical support was closed for the day and the support is only available from Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. However, the problem is that I have neither phone access, nor access to my personal computer (which I had installed the CS5.5 on) during their opening hours of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The nature of my day job is just such that I just do not have convenient access during the day. So in desperation, I approached the live-chat support team the 2nd time to ask if there is any alternative to getting technical help other than via phone call during office hours, and unfortunately I was told by the officer that there are no other ways of reaching the technical support.
    Basically I am stuck with my un-activated CS5.5. and I'm desperate because 1) I have some assignments to rush using the CS 2) It is too costly an item for me to just let it go like this! I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, disabling my firewall etc but all these efforts are to no avail.
    I wonder if anyone has ever faced a similiar problem and how you managed to resolve the issue? Is there anyone who can please help me??

    I have resolved the problem by doing what one of the users in another forum suggested. Here are the steps for anyone who may possibly face the same problem as I did.

    If you receive an "error" 404 message then please do the following:
    Check the host file
    Windows 32 bit and 64 bit
    Locate the hosts file.
    Click Start, click Run, type "%systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc" and then click OK.
    Right-click the "hosts" file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
    Save a backup of the file. Choose File > Save As. Name the file hosts.backup and click OK.
    Find 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete this entry.
    Save the file and close it.

    Hi please can someone help me. I have a curve 9320 and had my work emails and hot mail on my phone. My work emails stopped coming through and after attempting to fix the issue, I deleted my work emails from my phone. When I try to add the work email again it keeps saying update failed. The IT dept said I need to change the mail server settings. Does anyone know how to do this or even if this is what the issue is? Thanks

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Is your work email account a BES/Enterprise account? Were you able to, with that, synchronize wirelessly calendar, contacts, tasks, and memos? If so, then your IT folks must resolve this BES activation issue.
    If you only had email, then it likely was not BES, and instead acted just like any other "personal/internet" email account. But, I cannot quite tell what you are doing and what your IT department is recommending.
    If you are using the on-device email wizard and providing only the email address and password yet it is still failing, then that could be what they are referring to. If the server does not respond with the proper server settings (e.g., port, server address, etc.), then the wizard will indeed fail.
    To bypass the wizard and force the ability for you to provide those additional details, you need to provide a correct email address, but an intentionally incorrect password. When the screen repaints, the same fields will be visible, but an additional "tic box" for "I will provide these settings myself" (or something similar) will be added...tic that box and proceed, and you will be presented with a screen on which you can manually enter all of the necessary details.

    You must have logged in thru a dedicated connection to any server through say VPN before deploying.This way the sdm uses the same login as that of already establised connection.
    So 'sign of'  all connections to any servers before deploying and redeploy your application.Here you will be prompted to supply the sdm password and deployment shall proceed.

    Hi,
    When you say that update rule was accidently deleted, was that attached to transport request and transported to your QA & PRD at that time.
    Because it may happen that, your old rules are still there in QA & PRD and the new rules are failing to overwrite that.
    If it is the case, then you may have to open the client for QA & PRD and delete the existing update rule (doesnt sound good practice though), and then create a fresh update rule and transport.

    I have icloud on my phone with an apple id that I no longer use. I keep getting asked to enter the password for this ID. However I can't remember the password.
    When I try to re-set the password, a e-mail will be send to an address I no longer use and can't access.
    I then try to answer the security questions, but the date of births I enter are not accepted
    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

    I tried activating again.but it failed.Problem is it has about 10 mil records and this load is very important to be done within next 12 hours.
    I had deleted a PSA request but when i looked into the table RSTSODSPART,i have a PSA request not checked for Deletion flag.I am not sure why this happened.Does this have anything to do?But i also have another question,if i load from PSA was successful,i dont see a point as why the second load would error out.In that case is there anyway to delete one particular entry in that table.

    I get an error message when activating a new DTP that says: "Creation of PSA /BIC/B0005668 failed". That's it. It does not finish activation. No short dump, no SM21 log.

    DSO is active with data loaded and activated from source system. Transformation is active. Tried creating a Full and a delta DTP with same results. Using correct source DSO to correct cube for DTP.
