Identified Bug in GRC AC SP 12

Dear Experts,
My client configuration : SAP GRC AC SP 12
When I run the User Sync job there are no violations seen in the Management Report. I have checked the log and it shows that the users are being pulled from the backend system but they are not populated in RAR tables.
SAP in its latest list of resolved issues for RAR has confirmed that its a bug in SP 12 and is fixed in SP 13. I had also logged an OSS message and SAP has come up with a reply saying it wants to look into the system.
I am waiting for Dylan's  reply as he has SP 12 installed.

Hi,
We did have the same issue in SP12 with user syncs.
SAP confirmed us to upgrade into SP13.
We are running tests now on SP13.
I would say you should go to SP13 but waiont for the SAP response.
Good luck!!

  • Bug reporting?

A couple of times Lenovo have asked for suggestions etc via System Update. This has been a great way of reporting bugs (there are a few) and make Lenovo aware of the problems users have. I have found no other way to report bugs, from small/minor problems to crash-prone problems. There was a way of contacting Lenovo in "non-technical" issues via the web site, but they usually wouldn't accept bug reports but only responded "this is a technical issue, you must open a support ticket." The problem, of course, is that you want to report a bug in the software - not ask for support (and even less pay for it).
Even this forum does not have a dedicated topic for bugs and problems with the software. So how am I to let Lenovo know something isn't working right? I've found quite a few problems since I bought my X61 in October 2007, some of which have been fixed but others have not. An example: just a minute ago, I noticed that the Power Manager battery taskbar icon was green and "half full" while my battery LED was flashing in orange - upon reconnecting the AC the Power Manager battery taskbar icon showed "4%". An obvious bug, but how do I notify Lenovo???
I have also tried telling Lenovo that the splash screen for System Update on my Win Vista Business X61 is way too annoying: it shows for a long time (15-20 seconds?) and is "always on top" - so I cannot do anything when waiting for SU to load. It doesn't have to be this way; splash screens are usually shown for a time period specified in the source code. So it should be easy to change this.
These are just two examples of bugs and annoyances that I would like to tell Lenovo about. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo with bugs? I don't want to call customer support and spend precious time waiting for assistance - I just want to help Lenovo identify bugs in a fast and secure way.
    Thanks,
    Per Bylund

As this topic area is for Symbian devices, I assume you are talking about Symbian bugs. Today, I don't think Nokia is interested in knowing any bug of died OS - Symbian.

  • Photoshop Bug: Sliders getting stuck to mouse after release (Mac OS)

When dragging various sliders in Photoshop CS5, very often these sliders get "stuck" and move with the mouse even though you have released the mouse. Say you are dragging a slider to set the brush opacity to 50%. When you have set it to 50%, you release the mouse and move it away from the slider, only to find that the opacity still increases or decreases as you move your mouse. You have to click again to fix this, but then of course you have to go back and do it again.
Below is a small illustration (I can't take a screenshot of my mouse) of an example of when this happens:
This happens to me around once every 5 times I use a slider, i.e. extremely often. As you can imagine, it's very annoying and frustrating.
I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, and I never use Photoshop without it so I cannot confirm whether this bug happens with a mouse or just the tablet.
It doesn't just happen like on the above illustration, but also with any slider such as those in Adjustment Layers and Filters.
The bug does not happen when using tools on the canvas (thankfully). So the Brush tool, and every other tool, works fine and never gets "stuck".
I have the latest version of Photoshop CS5.
This is a bug that has always been in CS5 since the first version, and it has not been in previous versions of Photoshop.
Does anyone else have this issue? Anyone else with a Tablet?
I know there are large amounts of similar, extremely annoying bugs in CS5, but this one is just driving me crazy.

Chris—I'm sincerely sorry that you were called at home on a holiday weekend about my post.  Sincerely.  I'm sorry.  That shouldn't have happened, and I apologize for that.
I do ask that you also understand that I spent my entire weekend trouble-shooting this issue—which is now several months old—while waiting for an answer or at least a respectful and helpful response of some sort.  Here we are with another week down the tubes and still have yet to receive some sort of expression of an Adobe employee taking my case seriously.  I don't know if you—or anyone else—is investigating this.  As best I can tell, you are not—and I base that on the series of confusing (and in some cases, patently false) assertions that you made regarding the facts of this matter—including confidently promoting the notion that this is not a problem with Photoshop CS5 (which it clearly is), and the notion that I hadn't done anything to narrow down the list of possible causes—which I clearly have.  If you disagree, as you claim to, with either of those statements—then the very least you (or someone at Adobe) can do is to take ten minutes out of your schedule to draft a proper, logical and honest assesment of why you have come to those conclusions.  I don't think that's asking too much at all.  In fact, it's very disappointing that I've had to expend as much effort as I have to deal with this issue—and I still don't have an official, "right on, we're working on it," from you guys.
If you want to make a case that it was abusive of me to telling you that Layer Styles was likely the cause of this issue—go right ahead.  I admit that my entire statement was a bit "hot," but you have yet to even acknowledge the validity of my concern—much less the tremendous effort I've undertaken at my own personal expense (and at your/Adobe's benefit) to contribute to the resolution of this problem... or the real-world dollars and opportunity cost to my creative reputation.  Do you have many other users who go to these lengths when identifying bugs?  I doubt it.  As I've told you in another thread—if you've heard from me, it's only after I've already expended significant effort trying to solve the problem on my own.  I don't whine about stuff and ask other people to fix it, if I can fix it myself.  But I can't.  I'm not a programmer, and I don't know how to run any diagnostics on my own—although trust me—I've tried.  I've tried Xcode, and learning Applescript to see if I could craft my own workaround or identify the issue with even greater clarity.  But I don't know either of those technologies, and it's not work that I should be doing anyway.  There is a reason that a CS5 Design Master license costs upwards of $2,500, right?  I've gotten much more attentive and respectful response from free apps than I've gotten from Adobe over this issue.  What is that license for, if not for respectful customer service?
I have never received a paycheck from Adobe, Chris.  I receive (small) paychecks when I get my work done—which I have not been able to do for over a week now... and this is not the first time that has happened as a result of this bug.  And the week before this reappeared, I spent a significant amount of time testing out CS6 and taking notes to share with you and your development team—for no other reason that that I know this program inside and out (or at least large portions of it), and want to contribute to it in any way I can.  So yeah... I was angry.  Truthfully—I still am.  My paycheck isn't even the reason I do what I do.  I do what I do because it fulfills me on an emotional and spiritual level—which I stated in my very first post back in April.  Suffice to say—I feel spiritually and emotionally drained right now.  I'm just so incredibly exhausted, having spent the last couple hours nearly driven to tears by the combination of a fulll week of never-ending frustration, the loss of an important client and my favorite project, and what seems to be a total disregard for my case by you and whomever else from Adobe has read these posts without taking action to begin bringing about resolution.
Again—if you have a case to make, then make it.  Thus far, you've said a few things which made it seem like either a) you haven't even read the top-line details of my detailed reports, or b) that you are determined to squash me—not the bug.  I've explained why I've come to those conclusions very clearly.  Your assertion that I hadn't narrowed anything down is so demonstrably false that I consider that to be an abusive statement.  Your mention of Wacom drivers and third-party-related possibilities right after I'd spent about an hour composing a post (following up on a couple of days worth of volunteer trouble-shooting) detailing to the nth degree why it absolutely could not be either one of those things is totally perplexing, to the point where it make so little sense that someone of your presumed intelligence (i.e. a big-shot developer for one of the worlds most well-known applications) could actually respond that way after reading any part of what I'd just wrote.  It makes no sense.  Either you didn't read it, or you did read it, and you had a reason for making a statement that you knew wasn't in line with the facts of the matter.  I don't know which one it is, but it's one of those things, unless I'm totally missing something.
You have offered a few terse responses to my very detailed reports—and in the few short sentences that you've wrote, you've made many statements that have no effect on pushing the issue forward or getting it closer to resolution.  I don't want it to be a personal issue—but I don't feel like I made it personal until you did.  Yes, my statments were direct and pointed—but at least they've been transparent, articulate and well-explained.  You continue to speak about things like my continued accusations, your weekend, the TOS of the forum, and all sort of things that only exacerbate an already-painful, already-costly issue.  I've told you that I am determined to get resolution on this issue—and I am serious.  I will not accept blanket dismissals, and I will not be intimidated into backing down from my demand for a resolution.  I have helped you get as far as I can get on my own, and I am willing to continue to help in any way I can.
I quit a very high-paying job 4 years ago to pursue a career as a designer.  I make next to nothing now, but I feel fullfilled because of the creative process.  This bug has prevented me from all fulfillment.  It has strained my personal and professional relationships, and has taken a heavy emotional toll on me.  Please step up and make an effort to get it resolved—or at least assign someone else to solve it.  I can provide whatever you need from my end—and again, I'm sorry for your phone call this weekend.

  • LabVIEW 2009 Bug: Listbox Scrollbar Size Setting Lost Upon Saving VI

Please do the following to recreate the problem:
    1. Drop a list box
    2. Customize the listbox by going to Advanced -> Customize
    3. Make the scroll bar bigger.
    4. Go to the block diagram and create a property node of the control.
    5. Save the VI.
    6. Re-open the VI.
    7. The scroll bar resets itself to original size.
The problem occurs only when there is a property node. It is very annoying. Is there a way to control the scroll bar size programmatically so we can work around this bug?
    Thanks!

    Ian,
I just accidently posted the below to the other thread referenced.  I'm reposting it here as well:
I first reported this behavior (well, alright, I was using a table control/indicator, not the MCL) back in LabVIEW 8.0.  The discussion thread can be found on the LAVA forums, starting September 14, 2006.  In that discussion, Scott Menjoulet and jhoskins seemed to be able to work around it with the "custom control in a project fix", but I could never get that to work, at least not when I built the custom table into an executable.  I filed a bug report on the next beta cycle, but I can't find my old bug reports/CARs online anymore.
But I'm reasonably certain it's been an identified bug since 8.5.

  • ORA-7445 after installation

    Hi,
I have a specific problem on one notebook. It's a windows 2000 SP4. The installation log does not contain an obvious error message. But after installation, the database homepage doesn't start.
When looking in the alert file I find those ORA 7445 and ORA 472 errors. When starting up the database using sqlplus and stepping through nomount , mount, open, it seems that the database is running for a short period and then again ends up with the above errors.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
ORA 7445 indicates that oracle has detected a core dump when attempting a particular operation. To identify a bug you need to look at the first argument after the 7445 error as this identifies the module where the exception was raised. Use this together with the stack produced to identify a bug if possible. The ORA-600/ORA-7445 Troubleshooter will help identify bugs known to core dump in the identified module. https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:1905955764385093414::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,153788.1,1,0,1,helvetica

  • Problem with Installing and Configuring MS Server 2012 Essentials trial and MS Server 2012 Standard trial

My name is John Grace.  I have been an MS customer for years.  Never before in my experiences with MS up to this point have I experienced such POOR product support.  Your pre-sales agents have no knowledge to offer with pre-sales config or
install issues, your support personnel are trained not to provide any reasonable help with even minor questions and concerns helping to make sure your trial experiences are progress and successful, your product support Mgrs show lack luster concern if you
need some technical direction.  The first thing that is asked is do you have a support contract or credit card for this session.  Now, if I am evaluating products a support contract should not be necessary as you should want customers to have good
    outcomes with their trials.
I have been trying to configure test servers with the above mentioned products for the past 6 days with no success.  Each install is different and the configurations some times work and some times they don't.  I reach out for help in your forums,
etc., and am still at square one.
This frustrating and breeds a lack of confidence in your organization.  When Bill Gates was in charge I experienced none of the nonsense today.
I have identified bugs and issues to your product teams and they gladly accept these.  But when help is needed...it is send us an email type attitude.  I have 8 8 core servers running  windows 2008 server R2 slated for upgrading to windows
2012 server, and more after that.  If I don't get the trial software to work, the upgrades are terminated.
Please give me some help or you will loose me as a customer, and customers that I installed systems for.

    Hi again Alan,
Thanks for the reply, i have however not been able to find any viable hotfix from MS addressing this problem so far. I only found the QFE for 2008 R2, but this is not applicable in my enviroment.
Sadly, we are experiencing the same issue with the 2008 R2 server as print server now. So the problem seems to be with the 2012 R2 RDS servers.
We have been able to narrow it down to a probable cause though:
The issue seems to be the cause of Client Side Rendering, even if it is disabled on the shared printers. We are seeing heavy bloating in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider
The same printers are listed multiple times in subkeys for each user-SID.
The print server is listed twice under the 'Servers' key, once with just the hostname and once with the fqdn. Benath these two many of the printers are also listed multiple times.
Consequences are that printers are showing as clones for the users and they cannot set them as default printer. If they remove the printer manually, it just reappears. Setting a delete on the shared printer through GPP does not work either.
The only manual workaround we have found working is to delete the entire "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider" key on the
terminal server in question, and then restart the print spooler. This fixes the problem for the user, but once they start logging off and on again, the bloating of the registry is at it once more - and the problems following with it.
In an enviroment with 70+ printers and 15 RDS servers, spread on 3 different farms, it's not a good solution though.
    Any ideas?

  • Can't always connect to remote speakers since upgrading to lion

In one fell swoop I did a lot of upgrading, and ever since I haven't been able to reliably connect to any remote speakers using iTunes on my iMac.  From iTunes (or the Remote app on the phone or iPad) I can see remote speakers, but I cannot connect.  From iTunes, I just get the stripy progress bar, and it won't ever go away unless I cancel out.  From the remote app, it just becomes unrepsonsive.
    Context:
I have a iMac with OSX Lion, that I upgraded from Snow Leopard a few weeks ago. At about the same time, I updated iTunes to 10.5 from the last 10.4 release to be able to get the IOS 5 update on my and my wife's phones.
I have an Airport Extreme connected to our broadband, with 3 airport expresses in various places in our house connected on a wireless network to stereos for remote speakers.  The iMac is connected to the Airport Extreme via ethernet.  After upgrading the OS and iTunes, I got a notice that there was a firmware update for my two most recent airports (the Extreme and one of the expresses).  They are running version 7.6 of the firmware, the other two airports are running 6.3.
There has been no change to the physical environment -- no sources of interference or anything like that.  I can play music from the Music app on my phone to any of the remote speakers, there is no problem there.
About half the time, if I restart everything (wireless base stations, and then the computer) I can get the remote speakers to work.  However, the next time the computer wakes up from sleep mode, I have the same connection problem described above.
Has anyone else experiences these sorts of troubles?  I have seen some similar problems with older versions of all these applications and OS's -- and the solution there was to turn off ipV6 -- however, it doesn't look like that's an option now.  Is this an identified bug, and is there a fix on the way?  Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

Well, after some experimentation and internet-lookin', I deduced that is possibly a wi-fi problem.  It seems that many people are having wi-fi problems since upgrading to Lion, and although I'm not connecting directly to my wireless network, it does form a pretty big chunk of my setup describe above.
So I tried the fix outlined on OSX Daily here: http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/06/lion-wi-fi-problems-solution-mac/
Essentially what it has you do is to create a new network location, name it, and then renew your DHCP lease.  This seems to have worked for the time being.

  • Windows 7 x64 on T400s

I've now been using Windows 7 RTM x64 on my T400s for about a week and just wanted to document my findings. Windows is generally running quite fast and stable on the new ThinkPad, although there are certain outstanding issues, most of which I guess will be fixed with new drivers/versions:
Access Connections has a real bad memory leak (blows up explorer.exe), which is also leading to some crashes
If you want to use the Ericsson F3507g module, you need to use Access Connections to get it running or use third party apps. I hope that there will also be a solution so one can use the native Windows 7 Networking UI to control WWAN.
GPS is completely broken so far, this should integrate with the new "Location and other Sensors" feature of Windows 7
Battery life is abysmal, I suppose the power savings features are not working at all as I can get at best 3h of useful life from the battery (power usage in idle with wi-fi on and the LCD turned as far down as possible hovers ~14W), also I'm under the impression that the LCD cannot be turned down as low in Windows 7 as elsewhere.
Basically, I'm a little bit disappointed that there hasn't been more progress with drivers so far. I understand the argument that the official consumer release date for Windows 7 is still some ways off, however ThinkPads are mostly business machines and those businesses often enough are volume license customers as well as enthusiasts who have early access.
I would especially appreciate if there was some kind of official feedback on what is happening with development, highlighted (regular) updates on the beta drivers list, etc.
After all, there is a crowd of fairly skilled enthusiasts for ThinkPads that would probably be willing to help identify bugs...
    Regards,
    -Jan

Volume Licence customers are generally NOT going to be early adopters of new OS's, so you are buying your argument back with that assertion.
Volume Licence customers want fully tested drivers etc, which is one of the major reasons why RTM is NOT the point of General Availability!

  • Coldfusion 9  ODBC Agent & ODBC Server not starting

    Hello !
I currently have Coldfusion 9 Enterprise Edition 64 bit installed on a Windows 2008 R2 64 bit server.  I did not notice this before but on this server, both the Coldfusion 9 ODBC Agent & Server services will not start.  I have tried starting them but they start for a second and then stop.  A dialog box then gets displayed which says "The Coldfusion 9 ODBC Agent service on Local Computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs".  I have checked the event viewer on the server and I am seeing the following messages on the enterprise edition server.
The description for Event ID 0 from source ColdFusion 9 ODBC Agent cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
ColdFusion 9 ODBC Agent@LOCALHOST,ErrorCode=430,ErrorMessage=Failed to open event trace file because the file version is not recognised.

The strange this is that I have Coldfusion 9 Standard Edition 64 bit also installed on another Windows 2008 R2 64 bit server and both of the ODBC services on that machine are starting fine.  I have checked the account these services are running under on both servers and both services on both machines are running under the local system account so I am not sure if it is permission related or not.
I would appreciate it if some could assist me in getting these services started and what I need to do.
    Thank you.
    Ed

Has anyone bothered to file a bug report for this issue (I just searched the bug tracker and couldn't see one that applied to this issue)?  I see this has bit several people already, but unless you file an official bug report, Adobe won't know.  They don't monitor these forums with an eye to identifying bugs.

widescreen movies have the sides cutoff.......... any one else have this problem.... or..... the solution??

Also, iPod Touch and iPhone displays are both widescreen (16:9)

    Hi, guys!
I recently bought N80 (with last firmware) and faced a strange problem.
To check my account balance I send USSD-request (you know like "*#110*10#" or smth), but on this phone after sending a request nothing is shown. Simply standby desktop and thats all. Reqeuest sends, I see this stripe line like progress bar, and nothing happens. No new messages, no info on the screen. I even tried to send rerquest using "Service Mesages" in Messages Menu, but still the same. On any other phone (7610, 7370, V3x...) works good, so its not an operator's problem.

  • Search by Problem/Issue in BTK, what do you think??

Would Bug Toolkit be more effective in identifying bugs if the tool provided you with an option to search by inputting the problem or issue you are facing with your device/network in addition to keeping the existing options to search by product or Bug ID?

I think that would be a very good idea.
I was also thinking of some other things that might be good with searching for bugs that may affect the user.
Here is what I was thinking and please everyone feel free to chime in.
What I would like to be able to do is put in what piece of equipment I have, the IOS level I am running, paste in the out put of Show Inventory, and then have it take me to all bugs that only relate to my setup. And then I would like to be able to filter out things or services I do not use with maybe just check boxes and then get the results that not only affect my exact equipment but the features I use. This would be very helpful not only when I run into a problem but also when I would like to upgrade to another IOS. And even better would be the ability to save my equipment as I input it for future checks and maybe even alert me when something may affect my equipment.

  • Date Picker (Application Format Mask) YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI

I am experience what appears to be a bug with the Date Picker (Application Format Mask) that is causing the "DD" portion of the format mask to be interpreted as "CC" (when using a YYYY-MM-DD Application format).
Within "Application Builder", "Edit Attributes" I have defined a "Static Substitution Strings" with the required Substitution String of PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK and a Substitution Value of "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI" (without the quotes).
When this is used within the application, and I select a date of "January 15, 2008 @ 23:14", the date picker gives me a date of "2008-01-20 23:14". If I were to change the Year to 1957, the date I get is "1957-01-19 23:14". Note that if the century is 20, no matter what day of the month I pick, I get DD=20. If the century is 19, the day of the month is always 19.
I have also tested this with a format of YYYY-DDD HH24:MI. With this format too, the DDD gets set to the century portion of the year.
DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI format does work, however this is not the format that my end users want to see. They want to see the format as "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI"
If I change the PICK_DATE_FORMAT_MASK to "YY-MM-DD HH24:MI" and pick "Feb 8, 1977" I get "77-02-28" and if I pick "January 9, 1921" I get "21-01-31" which just happens to be the last day of the month in each of those case.
So, something really weird is happen with the "Application Format Mask" Date Picker.

    Paul,
Thank you for the feedback and detailed reporting of this issue.
This is a previously identified bug with the computation of the day component of the popup calendar.
This correction will be available with the next HTML DB patch set and/or the release of HTML DB available later this year.
    Thanks again.

  • Firefox crashes when attempting to print to a Canon ImageClass D680 all-in-one unit.

I can print just fine to the Canon ImageClass D680 all-in-one unit from an Internet Explorer browser. Firefox crashes every time. The printer is connected to a Dell Optiplex 755 SFF via USB A-B std printer cable, on a WXP O.S. Using the latest release of Firefox, downloaded on 6/23, but hasn't worked in 3 or 4 months. There were NO add-ons when tested on 6/23.

Guigs2, thanks for the response. Yes, I can save the content of the webpage, then copy to another program for printing, but the drill within FF was much easier & direct (of course). Do you expect a fix for the identified bug, or is this the end of the road? If/when there should ever be a fix, how will I know of it? Thanks again.
