IDOC after Material Change
Hi all,
I would like to send a IDOC after a material has changed.
I have to send the complete material by IDOC, so not by the change pointers (TC BD21).
Normally a user would change a material and then would start BD10 to send the material.
I have found a user exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 but a that point the material is not saved.
How can I start BD10 after the material has been saved?
Or does someone know another way to achieve this?

If u r working ECC after saving the material (Please Check the code) . After this code create an Enhance Spot . where u can call ur transaction .

Change Pointers
I know how to change the description of a material using ALE Change Pointers.
I will give the following few steps
1) Tcode BD61---> check the change pointers activated check box
save and goback.
2) Tcode BD50---> check the MATMAS check box save and comeback.
3) Tcode BD51---> goto IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01 select the checkbox save and comeback.
4) Tcode BD52---> give message type : matmas press ok button.
select all what ever you want and delete remaining fields.
save & come back.
5) 5) go to Tcode MM02 select one material and try to change the description and save it
it will effects the target systems material desciption will also changes
6) goto Tcode SE38 give program Name is : RBDMIDOC and Execute
give Message type : MATMAS and Executte

Manual condition types need to be reapplied after material change
HI Team,
For some of order items user enters manually condition type through VA02 for availing discount for the order item,
I am having a custom program for updation of sales orders, Through which we can change the order materials.
Order 123 having item material ABC. For which he entered manual condition type ZXYX.
now using custome program he wants to change the mateial ABC to XYZ. Thorugh custom progam material is updated. Price has been recalculted.
But customer wants condition type ZXYX also need to apply for the XYZ material.
Please guide me how to proced.

Restrict text id determination after material change
Hi All
I've a request from business.
When they create sales order ( va01) they enter material and then item number gets assigned to material.
they usually enter lot of text in line item level in various text id's.
But sometimes they change the material number but item number remain same. They want text id to be retained and everything else need to redetermined but text id's need to remain same. So basically they want to restrict redetermination of text id.
How to achieve this thing. Any pointers regarding same.
Mandeep Pal Singhin the config you can assign access seq for text determination.. check with your functional team if you can use some other access seq.. or add more step in the sequence.

BADI after Bills of material change.

I need the name of badi which is called after every change in bills of material for material.
i,e In the TCODE CS02, after changing the quantity and given save, i need to send mail to concerned users intimating them about the change.
I tried using the badi... BOM_UPDATE with the method...Change_at_save, but this method is called before the data is saved into database.

it's quite easy:
Use FM CHANGE_POINTERS_CREATE_DIRECT to write change pointers. You need to define a own Z-message with WE81 and activation in BD50, a field assignment in BD52 is not necessary. Fill the MATNR into objectid, so you know what to search. Maybe the complete MAST key makes also sense.
BP_EVENT_RAISE - look into the FM help to find the transaction to define own events. Just call this FM with MANDT, because events are cross-client - then your job can have a look, if the event was from correct (sy-mandt) client.
Job planning is periodic, but not by time. There is a special option for the events - just have a look, it's quite obvios in SM37, you just have ignored this line up to now.
In the job you select the new change pointer - if there is no change pointer, then wait and select again -> that is the delay for the booking of the transaction. Then you can access the BOM (maybe with a little bit waiting again).
Set the change pointer status = X (FM CHANGE_POINTERS_STATUS_WRITE), so that you don't read pointers twice.
Works good in most times - if you don't wait enough for one pointer, it will be handled with the next run a little bit later (weeks, if no one changes a BOM? You can schedule a daily job for this, too).

Execute a program after material create or change
How do I execute a Z program after a material is created or changed? I don't want a workflow with approvals, etc., just trigger the program.
Zprogram (write: / 'Hello World'.)
Material changed or created using MM02/MM01. Hit save.
It should execute zprogram and write 'Hello World' to the spool.
Thanks.define transaction code for your program and when material is created , one new record may be inserted into corresponding table. so use these table events and call your t code there.

There are two SAP Boxes for us..One is used for Purchasing and Inventory activites and other Box is used for Warehouse Management activites.
When I change a material in details in purchasing box....IDOCs Will be created and moved to Warehouse Management Box....
As soon as I change tha material, is there a way where I can see the IDOC generated when I change the material details...Like I want to see the IDOC number and the material name at one place.......
I knew you can view through WE02.....But I want to know if there is another way of viewing IDOC generatred by changing material and Material number at one place....Hi
You can do that in WE02 itself, select the Idocs to be listed and execute
Select the MATMAS Node and click the button 'List Specific segment', you will get the Idoc and material number at one place.
It will ask for segment name when u click the button, it can be given as 'e1maram'.

ALE distribution of planned material changes made using MM12

I have searched and come up empty-handed looking for an answer, perhaps someone in this forum can point me in the right direction. I am trying to find out if there is a tcode and idoc message type that will distribute a planned material change, prior to it's activation, while it is still in it's planned state. While in the source system, I can see these changes in mm14, I do not see the "future" values as part of the MATMAS generated by a BD10, nor as part of the ECMMAS generated by a CC92 transaction. Ideally we could allow material master changes in our source system on a future date using the same ECM number as a BOM change for example, and distribute these changes together to the target system, prior to the ECM effectivity, without further requiring a additional BD10 to be performed after the material change activation date. Does anyone have advice on this? Thank you for any info you can provide.1. Activate change pointers
2. Customize it to check for status before activation and trigger the distribution. (I think it should generate even if the material is not activated so no customization required - but just test and confirm. It's been a while I've looked at this).

Unable to create IDOCs after client copy
I'm unable to create IDOCs after a client copy. I receive a SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC or insert of duplicate rows ABAP dump.

The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLEDI1" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLEDI1" or "LEDI1F09"
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Idoc trigerring with change pointer under conditions
Hello dear experts
Could you please tell me how can i trigger an outbound idoc using the change pointer ( RBDMIDOC program)?
I have to generate the ARTMAS outbound idoc ONLY when the material status which is the table MARA is set to a certain value.
I can manage to trigger the outbound idoc but i did not manage to restrict this triggering according to the value of the material status fields.

YannickI tested using filter on Dist Wh and change pointers - for us, Dist Wh filter for material set on plant. When we made change to matierial, only if change to plant was made, so plant was included in idoc segment, did the filter work. If change material description, plant not on idoc segment so was sent . Any FM/methods to update idoc segments without changing idoc status
Hi All,
My requirement is a reprocessor program which fills up some fields in the idoc segment before posting. So, after updating the segments, the idoc status should remain as before.
Is there any function modules or methods to update idoc fields in segments without changing the idoc status?
I have tried the FMs EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_EDIT, EDI_CHANGE_DATA_SEGMENT and EDI_DOCUMENT_CLOSE_EDIT, but it changes the idoc status.

Arun MohanAs for FM to do this, i don't know if there are any, but i think you can go directly to the tables with the IDOC data and change them without triggering the changes in status like FM do. Still, i am not sure this is completely true, but you could give it a try. Also, i don't know if this is the best way to do it, because of those legal/audit questions mentioned by Thomas.

We developped a mapping about one year ago on XI SP9.
The source of the message was an Idoc and the target an XML sample (and not a xsd!) of what our customer expected.
Everything was working fine at that point.
Here is an extract of the output we had:

after a short view I would say that the two structures you have posted are logically equivalent.
I try to make it clear for the sender-element.
In the first example you have a tag <p:sender>. Obviously the namespace prefix 'p' is used here. In order to find out the qualified name of the element represented by that tag you have to find the namespace declaration for prefix p. As the tag itself does not contain such a declaration you have to go to the parent-tag. Indeed, here you find a declaration for p which says that p is just an alias for 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'. Hence the qualified name for the element is: 'sender' in namespace 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'.
Now let us look at the corresponding tag <ns2:sender> in the second document. In oder to identify the qualified name of the element you have to find out, which namespace is bound to the namespace prefix ns2 which has been used here. Again you cannot find this in the tag itself but in its parent. Here you find that ns2 is bound to 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'. (Indeed, here you see that prefix p is also bound to that namespace. This seems to be superfluous to me, as the prefix is never used.)
Consequently, the qualified name of that element is: 'sender' in namespace 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'.
Thus, both tags represent elements with the same qualified name. For more details look at http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/.

ALE IDOC Transfering Material Master From One Client to Another Client
I am using ALE Idoc transfering material master from one client to another client with MATMAS msgtype the details of Idoc received on receiver side is showing message i.e no Idoc is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction.
As I am new to ALE/IDOCS , I am transferring material master from one client to another client with in same system on IDES using ALE/Idocs the details of IDOC received on receiver side is showing message i.e no IDOC is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction and showing current status 51 instead of 53 i.e no details of IDOC is received at receiver side using MATMAS Message-Type. If the connection is available (test with SM59 + Connection identifier),
after choosing your Connection you can test the connection:
you might find the idocs with the daate when they where sent in SM58:
The message says in this case there was no service, there might also be other errors like "wrong password" and so on.
After solving the error, you can restart sending the idoc from this screen.

What is the IDOC type for changing PO price in ECC from SNC?
We have configured the consensus finding tolerance check for date and it is working. When we create confirmation from PO worklist by changing the price and the delivery date, it goes for manual approval if the date change is outside tolerance. Once the confirmation is approved by the buyer we are getting two Idocs in SAP. One is ORDRSP-ORDERS05. This one has the new price, but does not change the price in the PO. It only creates confirmation. The other one is PORDCH-PORDCH02. This one does not have the new price. It only changes the delivery date in the PO line item. We want one single IDOC which will change price (if price is changed), change delivery date and create confirmation. is that possible? If yes, what IDOC type would that be?

Can you please check whether the below settings are available on ERP side
SPRO-MATERIAL MANAGEMENT-PURCHASING-CONFIRMATIONS-SET UP CONFIRMATION CONTROL
select your confiramtion control line
lets say ZICH, select the confirmation sequence on left hand side
for your order acknowledgement,XX
check the field "Price"
and give the allowed tolerance values in fileds
Permitted Price Overrun in % (Inbound EDI/SOA)
Permitted Price Shortfall in % (Inbound EDI/SOA)
Now resend the data.... it will work
ORDRSP-ORDERS05 should work this time

Mighty Mouse (wireless) will only scroll up & not down
Has anyone come across an issue like this, I think it is hardware, but thought I would ask around first? I tried using our 2nd wireless mighty mouse that is paired with the iMac and that worked correctly (scroll both up and down) when paired with my
