Idoc extraction from erp

Hi colleagues,
i'm trying to create xi scenario which transfers idoc from erp system to the xml file for the mdm system.
I've already created all the neccessary things in integration repository and integration directory. And now i got stuck with ALE configuration and sending idoc from erp system. Let me describe what i did in ERP:
1. I created logical system for reciever system (MYMDM)
2. I created rfc destination to my PI system (MYMDM)
3. I created port and associated it with my RFC destination (MDMPORT)
4. I created partner profile for MYMDM LS and add MATMAS message type as outbound parameter. I set MDMPORT port created earlier as reciever port there and choose the option transfer idoc immed.
5. I created distibution model (bd64) choosing CIVCLNT010 logical system as sender and MYMDM as reciever.
*CIVCLNT010 - logical system  of ERP system for 010 client (the one i'm working in)
6. I'm going to we19 TCode and choose:
Reciever system: MYMDM
Reciever port: MDMPORT
Sender system: CIVCLNT010
Sender port: SAPCIV010 (to be honest i have no clue what should be here... but somewhere i saw it should be like SAPSIDSYSNumber so i did in this way)
I fill idoc with some data and click start outbound processing.
I get a message that idoc was sent to SAP system or external system.
BUT I cannot see the message in PI!
Actually after that i can find my message just in we05 IDOC's sent list and nowhere else
Could you please help me with this issue? Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Stanislav.

YEAH! I changed Sender port in we19 to the one i found in IDX1 TCode in PI for my ERP (CIV) system. It was called SAPCIV and not SAPCIV010 and now seems it works!!! I got the message in PI!
Thanks a lot, Suraj!

  • IDOC extraction from R/3 to BW

    Hi Gurus,
Can you explain how to start extraction of IDocs when request number is given?
I can see the request numbers in WE02.
But I dont know how to extract the same.
    Please help
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
Go into T-code BD87. in BW.
Find whether any idocs are having status as 64 or 51.
    64 means stucked and
    51 means failed while extraction.
if its 51 then u need to rerun the load.
and if its 64 then select that idoc in BD87 and there is a button (execute process) execute that idoc. Now this will be seen in SM58.
    Process IDOCS Manually

  • Steps to create outbound CREMAS IDOC from ERP

    Hi,
Can you please share the steps to create outbound IDOC from ERP system?
Business requirement is that whenever a new vendor is created in the ECC system, SAP should trigger an outbound vendor IDOC CREMAS from ERP system. Also whenever the vendor data is changed then the entire vendor details should be passed to outbound IDOC and not just the delta changes. Change pointer can be configured but to create idoc for full vendor records.
I guess we can use CREMAS.
Can anyone please share the steps to configure it in ERP?
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    1. Read the file using OPEN DATASET and read and fill up the segment info and fill the EDIDC header data
    and then call function
    CALL FUNCTION 'INBOUND_IDOC_PROCESS'

  • Extraction KNVV data from ERP via iDOC

    Hi All,
I want to  (mass) extract customer names+data (KNA1) from 4.6 ERP that later has to be loaded into MDM
(to be processed further with MDM/Java applications we develop at SAP).
Also the "favourite" currency of the extracted KNA1 items are to be extracted.
I have to do it automatically. BAPI-based "online" solution is inacceptable for the customer.
The extraction should be done via XI + iDOC.
The extraction step  and  the necessary iDOC is not clear for me.
      #Is the iDOC DEBMDM06 or DEBMAS06 a good choice?
I don't see what is a segment  of an iDOC for  (E1KNVVM).
I tried to extract items from KNA1 with tr. MDM_CLNT_EXTR with extractor CUSTOMER_EXTRACT.
Unfortunately the KNVV view related fields were not in the iDOC sent to the XI.
/I don't really wonder since the sales area information were also necessary when
specifying the customer to get KNVV-related fields - also the sales currency of the partner/.
#Is there an extractor - either for MDM_CLNT_EXTR of for other ERP extraction client program -
where the Sales area is also a parameter?
I have rather Java-based experiences without practical iDOC/XI knowledge.
I've used SAP note 1035601 as a use case for PDF. Unfortunately I don't see how to make
the next step towards extracting from KNVV.
    Thanks,

    Hi Balazs,
If you are using customer_extract, the segment E1KNVVM, should be by default selected.
In the transaction, MDM_CLNT_EXTR, after filling all the required details, select the field groups.
You will see the segment E1KNVVM.By default it should be selected. If it is not in your case, just select it.
    Hope it helps.

  • Error sending IDoc from ERP to PI 7.4 Java Only (stuck in SM58)

    Hi specialists
I'm trying to send an IDoc to our new PI 7.4 Java Only.
Because of some authorization issues I changed the RFC Destination <blabla> on PI (nwa) pointing to the ERP system.
Now the IDoc is stuck in SM58 (tRFC queue) and I get this error message:
The IDoc Destination <blabla> was changed. Refresh the destination instance with
    Meldungsnr. SR053
Anyone able to tell me where to do this refresh? I'm new to PI 7.4 Java Only and could not find useful answers on SCN and other internet sources.
Thanks a lot in advance for any hints.
    Renaud

    Hi Iñaki
Great document btw... didn't stumble uppon this before. Thanks.
I carefully went through it but nothing I tried helped.
The RFC destination (PI -> ERP) is working fine.
The resource adapter (inboundRA) is configured correctly. I can confirm, that the connection test of the RFC-Destination inside ERP (ERP -> PI) is successful.
BUT still: sending an IDoc from ERP to PI fails with this message in SM58:
The IDoc Destination <destinationName> was changed. Refresh the destination instance with
    Meldungsnr. SR053
This seems to happen every time after one changes some settings in the destination specified in the inboundRA property "destinationName".
So my question still is: how / where do I refresh this destination instance on a PI 7.4 Java Stack Only??? I mean without having to restart the whole PI instance...
    Best regards
    Renaud

  • Sending IDoc from ERP to PI

    Hi all,
I am trying to sent IDoc's from the ERP (SAP ECC) side to PI. But the IDocs are not arriving at the PI side. In ECC tc:we05 they seem to be successfully sent.
The Partner Type in we20 is "LI". I added the IDoc to the Outbound parameters and set the PORT to the Port we use for PI. But unfortunately it is not working.
    Any idea why?

When sending IDoc from ECC System to PI.
some settings needed on ECC System & PI System
    On ECC System
Create Port in WE21 type LS (Logical System) use RFC Destination TYPE ABAP in that port.
Create Partner Profile using PORT in WE20.
Add the Idoc as Outbound in that Partner Profile.
    Now on PI System
PI System does not have structure / matadata of IDoc.
    Create Port in IDX1.
Import IDoc Matadata in IDX2 use Port created in IDX1.
Create complete scenario & send IDoc from ECC, it will reach at PI System, if successful at ECC.

  • Extracting IDOC data from DB

I've got a requirement to list the material numbers of some failed IDOCs, but am struggling to get to the data.
I've tried doing a SQL trace, but this only gets me as far as being able to identify the IDOC numbers through EDIDC, and I need to be able to retrieve the segment data as well.
Does anyone know of a FM that would do the job?

    Hi Chris,
After getting the IDOC numbers from EDIDC then you can use FM : IDOC_READ_COMPLETELY to read the IDOC segment.
[pls see in table parameter : INT_EDIDD-SDATA]

  • How to upload IDOCS from ERP to XI? Points guaranteed.

    > I want to upload ORDERS.ORDERS05 into XI(7.0)
    > Please give the detailed procedure to do this.
    >
    > Thanks a lot! Points guaranteed.
    Hi Jennifer -
Michal et al have already answered this question but I'll jump in with my version:
    1)  Login to the Integration Repository, select your Software Component (SWC)
    2) Ensure that the RadioButton stating "Import of RFC and IDoc Intefaces from SAP System Permitted" is selected.  See:
    https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/weblogs/images/297/jen_lee_import_idoc.jpg
    3) Once the radio button is selected you should be able to import the IDOC (ORDERS.ORDERS05) to your XI system.  See:
    https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/weblogs/images/297/jen_lee_import_idoc2.jpg
This is fine for practicing the mechanics of importing <u>customer defined</u> IDOC's or RFC's to your XI system.  However, the ORDERS.ORDERS05 IDOC is officially supported and provided in the <b>SAP APPL</b> SWC.  Please see the section in my blog ( /people/james.guanzon/blog/2006/02/22/how-to-support-industry-standards-in-xi-part-i-of-iii--interfaces )entitled SAP Interfaces to get the correct SP for your XI system.
    Thanks for reading...

  • How to Export Materials from ERP to MDM 7.1 via MDMGX?

    Hello MDM-Experts,
as described in the Scenario Configuration Guide for MDM 7.1, we want to initialize our MDM repository with reference data (material) using XML-Files. Therefore, we have imported the fiel "71110_MATERIAL.a2a" in our repository. Now we want to fill it with the materials from out ERP-System without using PI/Xi.
We tested the transaction MDMGX in our ERP-System and are able to extract products and articles, but not materials (table mara). We also checked the document "How to configure MDM Reference Data Extraction", but found no solution for material. Could anyoune help?
    Thanks & best regards
    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,
we recommend using PI as we have some XSLT mappings running on PI that you cannot use (easily) w/o PI. Additionally PI takes care of the correct routing from ERP to MDM.
Nevertheless a possible (but not recommended) way w/o PI would be via ALE and XML files. You can configure an ALE port in a way that it creates an XML file using the IDoc structure (see [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/EN/3f/faa288bb7911d2897f0000e8216438/content.htm]. ALE then places the file in the file directory of the application server instead of sending it via the IDoc Adapter to PI.
    Best regards
    Michael

  • No master data transmitted from ERP to GTS

We are using ERP 4.70 with the following settings:
    SAP_APPL 470 SP-Level 0031
    PI 2004_1_470 SP-Level 0016
    PI_BASIS 2005_1_620 SP-Level 0017
    SLL_PI 720_470 SP-Level 0007
    together with SAP GTS 7.2 SP-Level 09
I created the message types /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL and /SAPSLL/MATMAS_SLL manually and activated them.
I try to send an customer master data to GTS but the partner will not transmitted. In the log protocoll in GTS the error message appears that there was no data collected from table SAPSLL/TCOGVA
If I try to send a material master from ERP to GTS the RFC connection gets broken with error message:
RFC error (The transaction has dumped the connection). What I had found out is, that the error appears in the function /SAPSLL/API_1006_SYNCH_MASS.
Has this something to do maybe with a wrong IDOC type? Does I have to to something in some tables. Do I use the wrong programme? I use /SAPSLL/MATMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3 and /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3.
I made absolutely the same customizing settings in another system at a customer and it worked fine there.
Does anybody has an idea? Thanks to all for the possible help.
    Thanks very much in advance

    Hi Andreas,
there are several possibilities why this is not working.
First of all you should check, if your RFC settings are correctly maintained.
Please bear in mind that the logical systems have to be assigned to logical system groups and that GTS and R/ shall not be in teh same group.
Please also ensure that the logical system name is the same in both systems, R/3 and GTS.
Secondly there is also the possibilites that necessary tables are not filled correctly.
    Please run report /SAPSLL/PLUGIN_CHECK_R3
It could be thate.g. the tables TBD24 and TBD62 are not filled
for the relevant message type (in your case /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_SLL and /SAPSLL/MATMAS_SL)
To update this tables corretly pls. do the following:
    - BD53
    - select message type (/SAPSLL/MATMAS_SLL)and edit it
    - select a segment
    - save
    - deselect segment again
    - activate
    - set in trx BD60 the FM to the correct value
      (/SAPSLL/MATMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3)
You can than check with the programm: '/SAPSLL/PLUGIN_CHECK_R3' if
all 4 required tables (TBD24, TBD62, TBDA2, TBDME) are filled, or not.
I hope this helps with the issue.

  • IDOC settings from sap r/3 to sap pi7.3

    Hi,
Please go through the below link :
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/ALE-Idocconfiguration-+%28R3XIFile%29
Also in your software component version please check whether import of IDocs and RFCs are allowed
from your respective ECC system, and check the ECC system parameters are correctlt maintained or not.

  • Extract from BSAS and BSIS in FI to BW

    Hi,
Can someone please recommend a method of extraction from BSAS and BSIS to BW.Is there a standard datasource available for this or do we have to do it through Generic extraction?
    thanks
    Srishti

    Hi Priya,
To avoid the complexity of converting XML's to Idocs without XI or ABAP programming you can easily go for the LSMW uploading.
I know your company does not want to use the LSMW process. However if you are trying with the XML ports for the XML to Idoc convertion it will further involve extensive coding and complexities.
On the other hand you can extract MDM data in simple Excel format and then use LSMW with simple mappings and conversion to upload this master data in ECC without much difficulty.
As to work with the MDM and ECC system data transfer avoiding both XI and Lsmw as the data transfer tools will make your scenario more complex and error prone with ofcourse the extra time factor involved.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks & Regards

  • Slow extraction from Source System

    Experts,
I'm on the basis team and we're trying to figure out what we can do to increase the performance of a BI extraction from an ECC source system.
Our BI team is doing a Full extraction of Data Source 0UC_SALES_STATS_02 which has about 24 million records.  This has been running for about 2.5 days and has only extracted 12.5 million records according to RSMO
I'm no expert on BI performance, but I'm trying to get there.  One thing we noticed is that we have over 1000 Data Packages and each has about 11K records per package.
RSBIW "control params for data transfer" in the BI system is set as this:
LOGSYS     --  Max KB.  --  MAX Lines  --  Freq  --  MAx PROC  -- Target Sys  -- Max DPs
    OURBWSYS --  20000 --          0             --  10    --        3            --     blank        --   blank
    OURECCSYS --  20000 --          0             --  10    --        3            --     blank        --   blank
Also we only see one background process running on the ECC system which is the Zprogram that was written to perform the extract.
We also checked IMG - sap netweaver - BI - links to other source systems - maintain contrl params for data xfer
    Freq/IDOC = 10
    pkg size = 50,000
    partition size = 1,000,000
We are on NWEHP1 for our BI system
We are on ECC6.0 EHP3sp5 for our ECC system
We use Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 with it fully tuned
We also think we have all the correct tuning parameters in our ECC/BI systems.  There are a few tweaks we could make but I don't see any glaring problems.  All our memory parameters seem to be in line with what is recommended.
We do not see any kind of Memory/CPU bottlenecks.
Do you think the many data packages and small records per package is a problem?
Any tips to increase performance would be helpful, I'm still looking.
I saw this wiki thread and it mentions to look at tcode RSA3 in ECC system to monitor long extracts.   But I have looked at this and I have not figured out what all needs to go into the fields to correctly run this.
Any help you can provide would be great.
    Thanks,
    NICK

    HI Nick,
This problem is due to the huge volumes of data and the job is ruinng from long time onwards, normally we will kill the job if it exceeds more than 8 hours time while extracting the data.
Please suggest your BI Team to pull data in small volumes by providing selections in info package. This will drastically redcues the time for extraction of huge data and will also not consume all the resources in system.
Please pass below links to your BI team as this is completely releated to design issue.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/39/b520d2ba024cfcb542ef455c76b250/frameset.htm
Type of DSO should be write optimized to increase load performance.

    2. And at your end look for the table spaces of the PSA tables, may be it is execeeding its capacity and make it as automatic. instead of manullay assigning the space at the regular intervals.
    Hope this helps.

  • IDoc Scenario SAP ERP - PI(Receiver IDoc Adapter) - IDoc to Third-Party system

    Dear All,
I have created a scenario  to send IDocs via PI system (PI 7.1) to a third party system.
There is no message mapping involved(Only ID part)
I have imported Idoc Metadata from the source ERP system.
Created an RFC destination(BC_ERP_SEA) in the PI system of type TCP/IP with registered Server Program to third party system.(Tested success)
Created a port in IDX1 BC_ERP_SEA with above TCP/IP destination.
Receiver communication channel of type IDoc is created with the following parameters:
             RFC Destination: BC_ERP_SEA
             Segment Version: 640
Interface Version: SAP release 4.0 or Higher
             Port: BC_ERP_SEA
             SAP Release: 640
Now when I execute the scenario, I get the following error in SM58 of PI system.
Bena IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS not found on host.
Request your help for this issue.
    Thanks,
    Jishi

    Hi,
Check below steps..it may resolve your issue
    1. It is mandatory to specify Ack Destination value in IDoc_AAE sender channel. The value should be an RFC destination name which is connecting to your SAP ECC system.
    2. In inboundRA resource adapter, the value for the property "local" should be set to "true".
    Regards,
    Tulasiram.
