Idoc issues - value changes

I have an issue where we recieve a field in an IDOC -
<E1PLOGI SEGMENT="1">
<E1PITYP SEGMENT="1">
  <E1P1001 SEGMENT="1">
    <SOBID>UK76610 XE10FINANCE</SOBID>
But from another system it appears as
<E1PLOGI SEGMENT="1">
<E1PITYP SEGMENT="1">
  <E1P1001 SEGMENT="1">
    <SOBID>UK76610   XE10FINANCE</SOBID>
As you can see there are to additional spaces in the second example.
I am using a rather complex mapping sequence to chop the data up (substring without length), lookup values, add a number mask then concatanate a value on the end.  Can you use the substring from a space within a field, instead of a fixed point?
It works perfectly in Development but in test the fewer spaces cause a problem with the mapping.

That is it!
I have a udf I've written already, but that was for a fixed point and not a space.
int i = Integer.parseInt(a);
String c = b.substring(10,i);
return c;
I will change this then?

  • How can I fire an event case on the value change of an indicator, or a network variable?

    Hi!  I have an event structure setup to look for a value change of an indicator on the front panel.  The indicator is updated by the value of a boolean network-published shared variable through a seperate parallel loop that is polling all of the network-published shared variables.  The event, however, does not fire when the indicator changes value.  I have switched the indicator to a control and tested it with user interaction and that works just fine.
    I want to use the event structure space for my code exectution because it seems logical that that is where it would go, and it will help keep my block diagram tity.  The code is also something I would like executed with the front pannel temperarily disabled.  I would rather not have the code in my network-variable polling loop because again the tity issue.   I would also rather not use a notification VI wired to an independent loop for this particular code.
    Is there a way to have an event structure fire an event with the value change of an indicator, or a network variable directly?
    Thanks for your input.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I went about things a little differently, but got them to work so..... .  It really was not my desire to have a boolean indicator on the front panel.  As previously stated, my ultimate goal was to have an event fire on the change of a network variable, which I had to poll for anyway but that is tucked away in a section where I am handling all my network variables.  I ended up using that Create User Event, Register User Event, and Generate User Event SubVIs to handle the task.
    I've read the help for all of those SubVI's and it is not entirely clear to me if the event fires every time the "Generate User Event" receives some inputs, or if it only fires when the value changes.  I could do a test to find out.  It wouldn't be too difficult to add a shift register or a feedback node and place the Generate User Event in a case structure so that it is only fired when the input changes state.

  • Idoc trigerring with change pointer under conditions

    Hello dear experts
    Could you please tell me how can i trigger an outbound idoc using the change pointer ( RBDMIDOC program)?
    I have to generate the ARTMAS outbound idoc ONLY when the material status which is the table MARA is set to a certain value.
    I can manage to trigger the outbound idoc but i did not manage to restrict this triggering according to the value of the material status fields.
    Thanks for all your answers.
    Best Regards.

    I tested using filter on Dist Wh and change pointers - for us, Dist Wh filter for material set on plant.  When we made change to matierial, only if change to plant was made, so plant was included in idoc segment, did the filter work.  If change material description, plant not on idoc segment so was sent .  Looking for alternative...

  • Multiple idoc segment values to field fixed length FCC

    Friends,
    I need help to resolve a mapping issue. here is the brief about the scenario.
    Scenario: IDoc to Flat file Fixed length fields
    Issue: Idocs has values in multiple segments. i need to check condition for each segment occurrence if value exists then pass value if not then pass constant (i have to pass constant so that i can get the actual column width after FCC)
    Iam using the following logic.
    If condition then value1 -> remove contexts -> split by value -> target
    My scenario works fine for the above mapping however when i try introduction a constant in "if then else" then all my contexts in the target structure messes up.
    Thanks for your help.

    Did you tried MapWithDefault before Remove Contexts? To give more perfect solution , we would like to see a sample structure.

  • What is the IDOC type for changing PO price in ECC from SNC?

    We have configured the consensus finding tolerance check for date and it is working. When we create confirmation from PO worklist by changing the price and the delivery date, it goes for manual approval if the date change is outside tolerance. Once the confirmation is approved by the buyer we are getting two Idocs in SAP. One is ORDRSP-ORDERS05. This one has the new price, but does not change the price in the PO. It only creates confirmation. The other one is  PORDCH-PORDCH02. This one does not have the new price. It only changes the delivery date in the PO line item. We want one single IDOC which will change price (if price is changed), change delivery date and create confirmation. is that possible? If yes, what IDOC type would that be?
    Thanks for your help.
    Soumen

    Hi Soumen
    Can you please check whether the below settings are available on ERP side
    SPRO-MATERIAL MANAGEMENT-PURCHASING-CONFIRMATIONS-SET UP CONFIRMATION CONTROL
    select your confiramtion control line
    lets say ZICH, select the confirmation sequence on left hand side
    for your order acknowledgement,XX
    check the field "Price"
    and give the allowed tolerance values in fileds
    Permitted Price Overrun in % (Inbound EDI/SOA)
    Permitted Price Shortfall in % (Inbound EDI/SOA)
    Now resend the data.... it will work
    ORDRSP-ORDERS05 should work this time

  • PanelBox Disclosure icon is calling only checkbox value change listener

    Hi
    I have a page fragment, where i have a switcher and showing different facets based on condition, in my second facet i have a panel box which has a panel group layout which has one selectbooleancheckbox and one outputtext.
    When i click on the check box, i need to make the outputtext invisible, this i am trying to achieve thru valuchangelistener. I am able to make it visible and invisible based on the value. The same way i have multiple panel boxes, the issue here is when i try to undisclose the panel box, or disclose the other panel boxes, the valuechangeevent is getting called.
    I am using pageFlowScope for the bean and it has so many other value change events for select one choices, but only for the first time the check box value change events are getting called. I can achieve the same using java script, but i am trying to avoid using js.
    I am using JDev 11.1.2.1.0 and the page fragment is in task flow, where i used the task flow as a region in a jspx page. Thanks.
    N.

    I think you're not dealing correctly with the default value of the selectOneMany. Do not let the submitted value be implicit but rather tells exactly what it should be. To manage that add a "noSelection" selectItem and return this value instead of null in from getImageType()
    Thus you might have:
    <h:selectOneMenu id="selectionid"
    value="#{tagGeneratorTagView.imageType}" valueChangeListener="#{imageHandler.changeImageType}"
    onchange="submit();">
      <f:selectItem itemValue="NOVALUE" itemLabel="No value selected"/>
      <f:selectItem .... your items ..
    </h:selectOneMenu>And in getImageType
    public String getImageType()
       //this is not a good example. the default value should be inject
      if(null==imageType)
        return "NOVALUE"
      return imageType
    }

    Hi,
    Include a step in your job and have a program which checks if a job is already running. If yes do not start the next instance of the same job.
    in the custom program just call function module
       CALL FUNCTION 'ZBC_JOB_ALREADY_RUNNING'
          EXPORTING
             JOBNAME           = p_job
          IMPORTING
             JOB_RUNNING       = w_count
          EXCEPTIONS
             JOB_NOT_SPECIFIED = 1
             OTHERS            = 2.
    Code within FM ->
       select count(*)
       into   job_running
       from   tbtco
       where  jobname = jobname
       and    status  = 'R'.
    where p_job is the job name.
    w_count is current running job count. If its greater than 1, then stop the 2nd with an error message.

  • Differentiating HTTP Request through a URL and a value change listener

    Version Details:
    Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 1 11.1.1.4.0

    Oracle IDE     11.1.1.4.37.59.23
    Versioning Support     11.1.1.4.37.59.23
    Base Details:
    The Product, that a different team is working on (<i><b>which I cannot access, code, touch,...</b></i>), creates reports and essentially generates a URL with a bunch of parameters:
    http://<host>:<port>/myApplication/main.jspx?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2...When the user clicks on an "Edit" button, a modal popup window is displayed (using jQuery) with an embedded iFrame with its source pointing to the above URL.
    The "myApplication" is an ADF application which brings up an ADF form based on the parameters. Once the user enters the data, validations occur and the data is written into a total of 3 different Tables in the Database. Once the operation is finished, the user closes the popup by clicking on the "X" button of the popup window, which essentially does "popup.*hide()*".
    Limitations:
    <li>Since there are varied combination of parameter values and associated ADF forms, taskflows is not* an option.
    <li>Since the logic of generating the ADF form is not straightforward, ADF BC is not* an option.
    <li>Since validations are based on the value change listeners, the managed bean has to be a session scope_ bean.
    Problem:
    When, for the first time, the user clicks on the Edit button with a particular set of parameter values, the corresponding ADF form is displayed and things work normal. Since the managed bean is under session scope, the form generated for the first popup window stays the same for any subsequent popup windows, even when the URL and its parameters are completely different. As I can not listen to the popup close event, I cannot invalidate my session either.
    I tried using filters in the web.xml to grab the request and apply the business logic. Due to the presence of multiple value change listeners (too many <tt>autosubmit=true</tt>), every value change listener triggers a request and so the business logic gets applied with every value change.
    After some tests, I deduced that the difference between the call from iFrame and the call from value change is the HTTP Request Method - GET for iFrame and POST for value change listener. So in my filter I apply the business logic when there is a GET request and not apply when its a POST request.
    Turns out, that is not a valid enough differentiation between the two requests being made. Sometimes, even the value change listeners are issuing a GET request.
    Question:
    *<font color="red">1</font>*. Is there a way to force the value change listeners to always trigger a POST request?
    *<font color="red">2</font>*. Is there a way to differentiate the requests originating from the other team's Product and those generated by my own value change listeners?
    *<font color="red">3</font>*. Is there a different approach, incorporating the above-mentioned limitations, to clear out the session scope each time when a request is made through iFrame? That is, whenever a request is made through the other team's Product?
    Edited by: user737922 on Apr 13, 2011 10:58 AM

    _(Temporary) Solution_:
    Summary:
    I am using the request parameter <b><tt>_adf.ctrl-state</tt></b> to differentiate between the HTTP requests that my application receives.
    Details:
    When I receive the request from the other team's Product, I receive a <tt>GET</tt> and a <tt>adf.ctrl-state</tt> value which I store into a local variable in my session-scoped managed bean. The <tt>adf.ctrl-state</tt> value stays the same for all requests (<tt>GET</tt> or <tt>POST</tt>) made from within my own application. It changes only when there is a new request from the other team's Product.
    Also, as my application is accessed through an iFrame, there is no possibility of the generated URL being modified by the end-user.
    For now it seems that the solution is appropriate but I am not fully confident if relying on the <tt>_adf.ctrl-state</tt> value is the best approach.

    In BD64 I´ve defined the distribution model but Id like to avoid the creation of the debmas idoc when an specific user has created/modified the custumer data.
    How can I get this?

    I would suggest to handle this issue with authorization check...
    check the authorization object using SU53 and add a separate role for those specific user excluding those objects...

  • (Un)expected btn value change

    My problem is quite complicated to explain so I made short swf video to explain it. I am trying to show a detail view of one of the columns of a multicolumn listbox(MCLB) by showing a button control allowing to edit a value that I hover over. That works fine.  I want to chanage the value of corresponding cell when the user uses inc/dec arrows or enters a number and hits enter. The problem is that when the user only enters number without using enter afterwards such a value should be simply ignored and when hovering over some other cell it should display its value. Unfortunatelly it chnages the value of following cell. The reason is that at first MouseLeave event of the Btn is fired thus the Btn is hidden and thus the Value change event fired. But before the ValChange event is fired it also handles the MCLB Mouse Move event where the actual cell coordinates are changed thereby following ValChange has inproper cell cordinates. Sounds complicated but the video hopefully enlightes it. How to overcome this issue. I just want when the num is entered manuanlly without hiting enter to ignore the value. Thanks!

    I got it working more or less as I wish. Now it will chase the LB value only if the user used the increment/decrement buttons or used ENTER/Return for entering the value. Escape hides the button.
    Somebody might have use from it…

  • [LV2013] Events ordering (mouse down vs. value changed) ?

    Hi,
    I've encountered a problem with my real-time behaving UI.
    The event distribution mechanism registers several events
    linked to various UI controls.
    Two of them are set this way :
    String control: value changed
    Tree control : mouse down
    The problem is that the String control is used both to display
    and modify values within the tree. Click an item, its name is
    displayed in the String control, modify the String control, the
    new value is reflected into the Tree control.
    The issue is when I edit a string inside the String control and
    click another item in the Tree Control, the first event fired is
    the Mouse down event on the Tree control. Then only the
    Value changed event is fired.
    What happens is that case is the value edited in the String
    control gets overwritten with the new clicked item's value,
    then it is saved inside the previous item's value.
    Is there a way to give a kind of priority on some events
    rather than others ?

    How is LabVIEW "nasty, nasty"?
    While it isn't doing what you want for your particular situation, it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do and is pretty logical.
    1.  You are in a control.
    2.  That control's value isn't update until you leave it.
    3.  Your method of leaving the control is by clicking on something else  (the mouse down).
    4.  The mouse down is what happens first, once LabVIEW detects the mouse down on another control, it then says, okay, now I need to take the focus from the first control and place it here.
    5.  It is the loss of focus from the first control that is what fires the value change event on the first control.
    So the precise order of events is:
    1.  Mouse Down event on control 2
    2.  Value change on control 1
    and that makes perfect sense.
    Your idea of reversing the order of events does not make sense to me.  I want LabVIEW to enqueue events as they happen, not rearrange them.  Supposed some other part of your VI is simultaneously issuing another value change event, or a user event.  Where should that event fall into the queue related to the other events you've had LabVIEW rearrange?
    From what I've seen from this message of yours and others in the past is you get quite upset when LabVIEW doesn't conform to your vision of the world and rather than figuring out how LabVIEW works and how to work with it, you try to fight how LabVIEW works and then take to the forums to complain.  If that is actually picture of you in your user icon, then that is exactly how I envision you while you are working on the computer.

  • Intensive slider control use may lead to LabVIEW hang and system instability when coupled to event loop "Value Change"

     Occasionally, over the past year or two, I have noticed on different machines and versions of LabVIEW (8.0 and 8.5) that intensive operation of the LabVIEW slider control (holding down the left mouse button and shaking the mouse quickly back and forth to move the slider for several seconds) may cause LabVIEW to hang with high CPU usage (50% on my current test machine, which has a Pentium IV "hyperthreaded" processor, so 50% is the max that a single thread can take up). In some instances, after the LabVIEW process is forced to quit, the system itself becomes unstable (more high CPU usage) or hangs, up to and including the need for a hard restart. I have seen this behavior both when handling slider change events the "old fashioned" way with a while loop and a case structure; and also when using a while loop with an event structure handling the "Value Change" event for the slider.
    Attached is an .rtf file dump of the front panel and block diagram of a simple test VI that replicates this problem in my hands (using an event structure). The loop count runs to at least several hundred iterations before the crash occurs.
    At least for the "old fashioned" loop handling method, adding a forced wait of a few dozen msec per loop didn't seem to be a workaround. I haven't tried this idea with the event structure, but don't expect joy to follow. The possibility of a system hang discourages aggressive experimentation.
    Is this a known issue? Can anyone else replicate it (carefully)? In any case, I'd welcome other suggestions for workarounds.
    Thanks,
    Darin Nelson

    Hang Slider.rtf ‏683 KB

    Thanks for all your responses, and especially to those who are waggling their mice around trying to reproduce this. I'll respond to (most aspects of) the last several posts in one message.
    LabViewGuruWannabe:
      I'll see if I can get the original code to post in a separate message, I posted the .rtf originally because I thought there might be filtering on forum posts (I'm sort of new here). But I doubt you re-created it wrong.
      The "more modern" test hardware was an Intel Core2 , 2.4 GHz, 2Gb RAM, on an Intel 965 family motherboard. As I said, it took me two tries to trigger the error on this hardware; in the case where it triggered, I was at almost 12000 iterations before things went south. 10000 iterations, therefore, might not be enough--or you might never get it, for all I know. My Pentium 4 Hyperthreaded machine (3.2 GHz, 2 Gb RAM) triggers the hang much more easily (always within 2500 iterations, usually within 1000), so there seems to be some hardware dependence here. Maybe the workaround is just to use hardware recent enough that no one not under the influence of strange compulsions will accidentally trigger the hang.
    TonP:
      After reading your suggestion, I tried something even more radical  -- getting rid of the handling code altogether. I took the slider node out of the while loop, and removed all code inside the "Slide" case of the event structure.
     On my Pentium 4 machine, the hang triggered after 677 iterations.

  • Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction

    I have one  requirement i.e as follows.
    <b>Line Item Value change in MIRO Transaction</b>
    After getting the items in table control of  the miro screen of a particular order.
    I have to clicked on edit own condition of selected item.
    then it will show another screen ( create invoice document item - conditions)which have the all condtions details like
    Fra1 , frb1 , sd%  ,  Penalty % , gross price , frieght charges etc.
    In this screen first time it is showing line item as
    in the miro intial screen i.e. if u click po item
    10 it will show 10 only.
    after  updating fra1  value , i came back to the main screen at that time it is asking that select the any one of three.
    after selecting manual selection its fra1 was changed.
    once again if i go to the same line item by clicking
    the edit own condition(13 column if u select all information in textbox whixh is above tablecontrol right corner) it is showing line item as 1 in screen ( create invoice document item - conditions) which  should be line item as 10. ( here i took line item as 10)
    Please clarify this, why it is showing
    first time as  a original line item and
    after updating it is showing like
    for line item 10 -
    1
                   20 -
    2
                  100 -
    10
                  110 -
    11.

    "...it does not work..." is probably the worst description of a problem you can imagine. As an application developer you should know that. Do you use firebug to see what happens once it "does not work"? Any better hints?
