IDoc Packaging on Event Driven Message Processing Message Filter

Hi Experts,
I am testing IDoc Packaging on Event Driven Message Processing and I got struck at scheduling the job.
My scenario is IDoc to File. I have created sender and receiver id with coresponding interfaces. While creating the message filter I have selected outbound channel --> IDoc Packaging Option n I have took 10 as Package Size in Messages. In SM 36 I have created JOB and in the step I have selected SXMS_START_JOBS.
Now my problem is while creating the JOB in SM36 what condition should I select? How do I test this event driven message processing with IDoc packaging??
Please guide me...
Regards
SAPTOTAL

in the event, you should also have a job for RSEOUT00 scheduled so that the IDocs are send out as a package

  • Event Driven Kanban Process

    Hi,
    I tried to follow the process mentioned from other threads on this subject but with no success.
    Scenario:
    Header Mtrl: A
    Assembly: B [E-D KANBAN]
    Assembly: C
    There is a requirement for A=100 ea. There must be dep.req generated for B = 100 ea??? as per the event  [correct me if I am wrong].
    How to exectute the above scenario?
    Can anyone guide with the work flow and TCode for the E-D Kanaban.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    Ramesh

    Q: Well, if the scenario which I mentioned is not ED what exactly it is - Please ellobrate?
    This scenario is not ED, this can be addressed by Kanban with MRP controller, in case of inhouse production it will be with
      the replinshment type 4 .
    Q 1/ If we need to manually create the ED signal in PK23 what advantage does we have compared to the MRP run?
    It is not any advantage, this is how it can be done.
    Q 2/ There is a order for A=100 ea. How the person responsible in the supply area will know that there is a req. for B (ED KANBAN) material?. How the person responsible for the supply area track these requirements?
    In case if you are working with kanban + MRP , you can use the program SAPMMPKC which can be scheduled in the BG to
    Q 3/ I appreciate, if you could throw more light in - how automatically the ED is triggered once it receive the order/req.?
    Apart from all, i think you need to read more about the kanban and how it works.
    Generally kanban are used where there is continious flow between 2 workcentres.
    ie ) a constant demand and supply .
    10 containes flows between 2 workcentres in which one workcentre is supply and  another one is demand then kanban is used.
    during such situation if you are planing to increase one container just for 1 weeek to meet your increased demand ( like christmas, new year) then Event driven kanban can be used.
    Hope most of your querries are answered . you can also check about kanban here

  • Event-driven Portlets via Message Driven Beans

    Anyone have leads on how to force a BEA portlet (of any variety) to refresh based on server-side events? Such as when an MDB is triggered by an incoming message?
    Within the proper confines of an MVC architecture, of course.
    Thanks,

    When configuring the filter the partyscheme was filled automatically. In the received message this field was empty.

  • Query on Idoc Packaging with PI7.1 EHP1

    HI PI Experts,
    I have a scenario where batch run triggers the 100's of Idocs in R3 in few milli seconds, which means all Idocs are triggered in one go From R3.
    Do we still need to set Check box for Collect Idocs in Partner Profile in R3 for Idoc Packaging ?
    I want to make out the difference in 2 configs for Idoc Packaging where
    A)  All Idocs are sent via Report run of RSEOUT00 at a go after collection.
    B) All Idocs are triggered at same time via Batch Run at same time.
    Assumption:
    PI is configured to use Sender Idoc Adapter with Idoc Package Size of 10.
    OR
    I frame my Query in other way"
    What does Collect Idoc and running Report RSEOUT00 achieve to make sure that Multiple IDOC Nodes come into 1 XML message? OR Its only PI Sender Idoc Adpater take care of it when multiple Idocs of same type comes through PI?
    Please reply .
    Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi Anurag,
    In the sender IDOC adapter if the packaging option is not activated, then the IDoc packages get split into single PI messages, one PI message per IDoc. IDoc sender functionality is enhanced to preserve and process IDoc packages without splitting the IDoc package into individual PI messages. I.e. single PI message contains multiple IDocs including control records. Where as running the report RSEOUT00 will just send all the IDOCs that are in waiting state to their respective destinations.
    For the sender IDoc adapter to be able to process packages, it should receive the IDocs in a group. I.e. in the sender partner profile the packaging option has to be activated. Though you've activated the packaging option in the sender partner profile, If you dont check collect option in sendet IDOC adapter then the IDOCs get splitted into individual PI messages.

  • Packaging required for event-driven message processing

    Hi,
    Could you pls. let me know whether message packaging is required for using event-driven message processing in Integration Server (PI).
    Also can we use event-driven message processing in Integration Server (PI) for outbound HTTP adapter interface.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Gajendra.

    What is your scenario and why exactly your are looking for event-based message processing?
    Normally those are background jobs which triggers the services(inbuilt ) and makes the process designed by us to run.
    In case ofR/3 its possible to do so i.e to trigger messages based on event like incase of proxt to PI can be done through Event-based

  • Prioritized Messages in combination with Event-Driven Message Processing

    Hi,
    our Scenario (EO): Sender A sends large IDocs to Receivers X and Y (> Split)
    1.
    What we did first:
    Prioritized Message Processing
    Sender A sends large Messages, therefore we prioritzied Messages in the IE with EO_MSG_SIZE_LIMIT > 4000.
    This works fine: Messages are queued in XBTL and XBTM and afterwards they are send to Receiver X and Y.
    2.
    What we did next:
    Event-Driven Message Processing
    Now we want to send the Message from Sender A to Receiver X directly and to Receiver Y at night time.
    We add Event-Driven Message Processing, Sender- and ReceiverID for A and Y,Job and so on...
    On it's own (without Prioritized Message Processing), this works fine: The messages are send at night time.
    But in combination (Event-Driven + Prioritized Message Processing) the messages only passes the Prioritized Message Processing and the Event-Driven is ignored.
    Our "Hop-List" for Split A to Y was:
    1. XBTL
    2. XBTJ2008...
    3. XBTM
    But actually all Messages passes:
    1.XBTL
    2.XBTM
    Why are the messages not filtered for the Event-Driven Message Processing (in combination with the Prioritized Message Processing)?

    It was an error in the SourceCode and is now corrected by SAP:
    Hinweis 1295746 - XI Runtime: Fehler in Ereignisgesteuerte Messageverarbeitung

  • Event Driven Message Processing in AAE

    Hi SDNers,
    I wanted to know if PI 7.1 EhP1 supports event driven message processing on AAE, means can I bypass ABAP engine by configuring the scenario with ICo (Integrated Configation) and still use the event driven message processing of PI?
    Regards,
    Gautam Purohit

    Hi Gautam Purohit,
    "Event-Driven Message Processing" is concept related to Integration Engine. So if your are using AAE (skipping IE), you cannot use it. [Link1|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/7a/00143f011f4b2ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
    I think "Event-Driven Message Processing" and ccBPM are not related.

  • PI Message Packaging / Idoc packaging

    Hi experts,
    i heard message packaging in PI was kind of new. Is there a difference between message packaging and idoc packaging ?
    Do you know any blogs or links about how to set it up ?
    Kind regards,

    Hi,
    first there was only IDoc packaging -> now you have message packaging (what includes IDoc packaging).
    This will give you a good overview:

  • JMS / Message Driven Bean not processing message

    I am having a problem getting an MDB to work on Weblogic Server 7x.
              Basically I have written a simple Bean which simply prints a message.
              I have a JMS client which creates a message (javax.jms.TextMessage)
              and successfully adds it to the queue (javax.jms.Queue). The code
              looks as follows:
              public void sendText(String message) throws Exception
              TextMessage textMessage = getQueueSession().createTextMessage();
              System.out.println("Created Message: "+message);
              textMessage.clearBody();
              textMessage.setText(message);
              System.out.println("Sending Message");
              getQueueSender().send(textMessage);
              System.out.println("Sent Message");
              The message is getting onto the queue as we can monitor this from the
              weblogic console, everytime we run the JMS Test client the number of
              messages on the queue increases however these message never seem to be
              processed. Here is a sample of the ejb-jar.xml
              <message-driven>
              <display-name>JMSBatchReceiver</display-name>
              <ejb-name>JMSBatchReceiver</ejb-name>

              </message-driven-descriptor>
              </weblogic-enterprise-bean>

  • Adapter PLAINHTTP cannot process message packages

    Hi,
    I'm receiving 10 lines in one message from ERP and then PI splits them to individual messages. When PI tries to send messages using plain HTTP, I got error saying "Adapter PLAINHTTP cannot process message packages".
    Message packaging is not on and SXI_MONITOR shows messages in separate payloads.
    br,
    Tapio

    This is my assumption.
    Multiple messages that result from mapping are sent as one bulk message (grouped together) in the Integration engine. The  messages are really split into  individual mesges only in the adapter engine. Since HTTP adapter live in Integration Engine and you use HTTP as receiver, you get this error.
    Refer the conclusion portion of the link for further explanation.

    This sounds like something we'd need to work with you directly on.
    Please send an email (if you haven't already) to
    [email protected] If you can, please attach your latest Engine
    log file (found in /var/opt/novell/storagemanager/engine/log by default)
    and a copy of a Runtime Config report from NSM to that email -- those
    are some basic troubleshooting things we'll need. Thanks!

  • Exception Processing Messages

    As I turn on i-tunes on my computer, I've suddenly started getting the following message displayed.
    "Exception Processing Message c 0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6df9c 75b6f9c"
    I can continue into i-Tunes if I select "Continue" (rather than Retry or Cancel. However, everything I then try to do in i-Tunes is prefaced with this message. Anyone got any suggestions as to how to get rid of this annoying problem.

    Hi,
    mass data and XML is a known issue. To process such data the complete DOM is built in memory by MII. If you want to fight this issue with
    resources the only chance you have is that you use x64 Windows Server für MII with several GB for the JVM. Typically you could try to give
    the JVM a heap size of 3GB/4GB (keep increasing till it works :-). Though this is architectural not a nice solution, so you should send, for
    example, the message zipped and base64 encoded. This message could then be received by MII and saved to a file. Decoding and dezipping
    this file should be done on file system such that a decoded and dezipped file is created. Then you can process this file with a custom action.
    Remember that you will face the same resource problems in your custom action. The solution is to use an event driven parser like SAX to parse
    the file and do the inserts in JDBC batch mode. With this procedure you can guarantee that a fixed amount of memory is used when parsing
    a big XML file.
    Good luck,
    Matthias
