If bought NI USB-6800 device, is Measurement Studio free for dev?

If bought a NI USB-6800 device, is Measurement Studio free for VC++ development?
Do I need to buy the Measurement Studio license?
Or is there another way to do the VC++ development? Such as via some free dll or ocx library.
Plus I noticed that there are UNIX/Linux drivers about NI USB-6800 device, but there is no document about C/C++ development under UNIX/Linux!
Can I do the development with NI USB-6800 device under UNIX/Linux?
An individual human existence should be like a river - small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past boulders and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being.

Unfortunately it is in windows. Windows doesn't recognize the device. I don't know, is this a problem because of running WinXP in Mac?
That may well be the problem.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

  • I would like to know how to transform an API C++ application in MFC C++ application to use the measurement studio components or Labwindows CVI

I don t know the way used to transform a C++ with API program in an MFC application using measurement studio or Labwindows CVI.
    Thank you for you help.

You can use the Measurement Studio Add/Remove Components Wizard to add Measurement Studio components to your C++ application. • How to use NiGraph control component in the MFC not measurement studio MFC??

I want to use the NiGraph control component in the normal MFC(exe) program, but after you add the component to the project ,it will generate a CCWGraph class, and it doesnt work. If I want to use NiGraph class to plot data, What should I do? Help
    Thanks a lot!!!

I have attached an image of the toolbar items. If there items are not visible on your toolbar, right-click the toolbar, and select the item labeled "MStudio" (if using VC++ 6.0) or "NI-Measurement Studio" (if using VS 2003). These items will only be available if you have Measurement Studio support for C++ installed.
    I hope this helps

  • Measurement studio expired first day I install

    Hi,
I download Measurement Studio 2009 for Visual Studio Evaluation yesterday. I installed it with Labview 2009 and DAQmx 9.2.1. My OS is XP sp3. I have a DAQ card DAQ-6024E. And I tried to output a analog signal using the card. So, I found out there is an example from NI after installation named "GenVoltageUpdate" in the folder  \NI-DAQ\Examples\MStudioVC2008\Analog Out\Generate Voltage\. I used VS 2008 to try to run this program in debug mode. There was a box popped up "The Measurement studio evaluation has expired". I checked the Measurement Studio>> License, and it shown as the figure attached. None of them has expired yet.
I don't know why there is such message about expiration. I hope someone can help me.
    Thank you very much.

Hi, I installed today (02-12-2011) the evaluation version of Measurement studio 2010 for Visual Studio 2008.
Checking the licence page from the Measuremt studio menu I get thet all the components I installed should expire on 13/03/2011.
The problem is that if I try to execute any sample code provided I get the following error:

  • Recognition usb device by measurment and automation explorer

    HI
I have bought  nrf24lu1-dongle from nordicsemiconductor. this is a
transciever with usb interface. when i attach that to usb port it will be
recognized by computer .and in my package there is a driver for that too.so
i think it must be a USBTMC device. but i can't see this device in measurment
& automation explorer. i have update MAX driver(install legacy driver support) after ataching my device to
pc .but no changes occur! this will occur for any kind of usb device like my
mp3 player(i expect when i attach mymp3 player to usb port it must be accessible in measurment & automation). is this problem related with the kind of usb port that i use? all
my usb ports are flat type(host) . or maybe my NI-VISA (version 4.5 is not a complete
    package! and don't support USB).
    with best regards

    Hello farashi,
As noted in this KnowledgeBase article, the hid.dll file is from Microsoft, and you can find more information here.
I also found this really helpful nugget on programming USB devices that may prove to be helpful.Hope this helps.

  • Usb - 6009 Device Recongition Problems

    Hi,
I just got a USB-6009 DAQ. I have labview 7.0, drivers software and the supplied software installed with no problems. In the measurment nad automation explorer (MAX) the device is recongnised and declared problem free. I tried to test the device in labview using help tutorials which suggests the DAQ assitant block. After selecting Analogue input and then voltage I am told that no device is detected i.e. Where I should be selecting my terminal(s) I am not giving any options.
If anyone has had the same problems or know how to fix them I would be thankful of your help.
    Kyle

    Hi Kyle,
The USB-6009 device works on DAQmx base. This is a restricted version of NI-DAQmx which is used on some of our products. Unfortunetly it is incompatible with DAQmx and the DAQ Assistant uses DAQmx. Therefore you can't use the UDB-6009 with the DAQ Assistant.
To use the device, load up the USB-600x Interactive Control which should be located in the following directory.
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\examples\daqmxbase
Take a look at this and figure out how the code works. If you want to configure it to do your own specific functions then I would suggest that you use this program as a base and customise it for your purposes.

  • USB device not recognized by computer for iPod Touch 2G?

Connected to computer as usual, but this time the computer & iTunes do not recognize it.  A message pops up from computer that USB device is not recognized and has malfunctioned.  Tried turning ipod off & on, then Reset all settings - no change.  iTunes had just updated so it is current. Restarted computer - no change.  Then I did the major reset on the ipod that erases everything - no change.  The ipod is charged and the 'connect cable to itunes' graphic shows on start up, but the computer & itunes do not recognize it.  Also tried using another ipod usb cable - no change.
We've only had it 2-3 months (bought it used-about 5 months) and it has worked fine, with no problems, until today. The only change that comes to mind is the update to iTunes today.
My other son has an ipod touch 4g & it connects to the same computer, same cable & itunes without any problem. Now my youngest son's ipod (2g) is wiped clean & I cannot put any of his apps or music back on it because it is not being recognized.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  My youngest is so sad, its heartbreaking.

  • Usb composite device is an older usb device and might not work in USB 3

I recently bought one Lenovo Yoga 2 11 laptop running Windows 8.1 (64 bit).
When I try to connect my old Brother MFC-3240C printer using USB (2.0), it doesn’t work.
    Below are the steps performed:
Connected the printer to USB 2.0 port on laptop (on the right side). Automatically installed the printer driver (no exclamation mark beside printer icon)
When the printer didn’t print, I tried to use troubleshoot as below:
Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Devices and Printers->Right Click on Printer Icon->Troubleshoot.
It came up with USB composite device is an older usb device and might not work in USB 3.0
Removed the printer and re-installed the driver. It is all the same.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
FYI – the same printer works fine with my older laptops running Windows 7.

Already checked Brothers website for the printer drivre for Windows 8.1 (64 bit).
It says ... The built-in driver is already included with Windows® Operating System or is available through Windows® update.
So, installed the default driver for the printer that is available with Windows 8.1.
Even connected the printer with USB 3.0 port on the laptop, but it is all the same.

  • Wiped our old iPad 1 clean, now can't install iOS from iTunes.  iTunes does not "see" the devise.  Tried uninstalling and installing iTunes on laptop.  Also bought new USB cable.  The iPad is charging, but that's all it does.

Wiped our old iPad 1 clean, now can't install iOS from iTunes using laptop PC (W Vista).  iTunes does not "see" the device.  Tried uninstalling and installing iTunes on laptop.  Also bought new USB cable.  The iPad is charging, but that's all it does.  Just want to get it operating again for browsing and e-reading.

OK.  You merely erased the content and settings.  The IOS is still there.
If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures.  From what you've already stated, my guess is that you'll end up with Recovery Mode described in the last paragraph.
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • Usb 3 Device is not responding

I'm given to understand USB 3 devices will work in a USB 2 port, however it is strangley difficult to find information about this online, and my USB 3 128gb device does not even register whatsoever in the USB 2 port on my Asus Notebook K52F/K62F. The ports do work for other devices. Was the information I was told untrue, or is there another step I need to undergo? Perhaps a driver installation?

What do you mean "the measurement failed"
Can you please provide more details.  Like an error code.

  • HT200197 hi i just bought an Apple TV device and tried setting up the wireless but after i enter the 2WIRE  Key Password the screen starts by saying connecting than the screen says Activating below says stting date & times and just sits there for an hour

Hi I just bought an Apple TV device i have detected the 2WIRE and entered the Product Key Password.  It takes that okay the screen goes to Connecting followed by Activating below in small print it says Setting date and time but nevr leaves that screen it just clocks there for evr???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

The format says Mac OS Extended.  All of the settings were set during the disk image restore process.  Even if I format the flash drive as extended journaled or some other format, all of these settings are reverted when I do the restore from the disk image.  I will just copy all of the information that disk utility has so that you can see it.

  • No support for USB 3 devices on MBA 2013

When I bought the first MacBook Air (mid-2013) I was disappointed to discover that none of my USB 3 devices (external HD and flash card readers) worked with it. Then even USB 2 devices stopped working. I brought it back to the Apple store and was given a new unit. USB 2 devices work with it, but not USB 3 ones. Now, reading this forum and other discussions made me realize that Apple, in a typical Applesque fashion, released a faulty product and will not admit that it created a problem for its gullible consumers – the USB 3 ports on Mac Book Air are underpowered and thus unable to support many USB 3 devices. It is likely that much later Apple will release a firmware update that addresses this issue, once the complaints from user reach a certain critical threshold. But until then we, the Apple suckers, must wait and hope.

Ive got 96 hard drives, of various brands. Ive had no less than 50 of them hooked to the Macbook Air.
If you have a western digital drive (likely), try a different Hard Drive.
There are no USB 3 issues with the Macbook Air.
Again, you didnt mention what USB3 device you have an issue with.
*That link you posted is a year old and the OP hooked the HD to several other Macs and it still didnt work..., meaning he had a faulty HD.
Other mentions were oddball OWC enclosures with power issues, not related to the Mac at all, and Verbatim memory sticks
So, the post you make a link to isnt at all relavent to any issue with the Macbook Air, current 2013 or 2012
