How?
Make sure you transferred your data : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
After the set up of your 4G, use the latest backup of your ipod 1G to restore all data and settings. For security reasons you might have to fill in some passwords again for mail or network for example. -
ok...so I had to restore my computer back to its original factory state:( now I have lost all my music on itunes. Can I get them back?? if so, how??
You can download everything you purchased from the iTunes Store without having to pay again:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Here is the procedure for your reference, using iTunes 10.7. The procedure and screenshots for newer versions are contained in the above link.
This assumes what you purchased is still available in the Store.
Open iTunes and click on iTunes Store on the left
On the right you will see this
Sign in with your Apple ID, then click on "Purchased" (with the orange blob)
On the summary page that appears select the tab "Not on This Computer" on the right.
On the list that appears, select what you want and then click the "Download" button. -
recently had to purchase a replacement phone a friend of mine had backed up the data on the lost phone to his Mac laptop how do I get that backed up data from the lost iPhone that's on his Mac laptop to my new replacement phone? Please give step by step instructions xoxoxo
And my iTunes sign in is also screwed up... It is underneath my friends email (the one with my backed up data on his Mac laptop) HOW DO I CHANGE THIS SO THAT I CAN DOWNLOAD APP's again...I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

I'm taking my ipod touch to apple to be replaced as it has battery faults. it's backed up but does that mean i can re-download all that data onto the new ipod? (app data etc.)???

I have a new iPhone 5 with company software from where I work. I backed my old phone before I got this one on iCloud but I cannot figure out to get my stuff onto this phone without erasing the content that was just put on it.
The only way to do so is to start over: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You won't be able to use the backup of your old phone unless you are setting up a new phone.

i lost iphone 4 my ,im unable to find mphone can anyone help me in getting bck my iphone or able to track my phone if anyone is using this devise?
<Serial Number Edited by Host>And after four months, even if you did have Find My iPhone set up, whoever has the iPhone now has almost certainly turned that feature off, one way or another.
Sorry, but there's nothing anyone can do. At this point you can, I'm sorry to say, probably consider your iPhone gone forever.

Since mountain lion I have noticed 3-4 columns of data missing from a Numbers file. I have fortunately been able to replace the total file from my iPad version but why has this happened. Makes me lose trust in Numbers
That would be strange.

I want to know if I can access all the stuff I bought from iTunes a year ago
All of your "Stuff" should be on your computer. Just sync it to the ipad.
If for some reason you failed to backup your music then:

I restored my ipod and the one cord that i was using got confused and thought my ipod was someone elses, and now i cant restore all my stuff that it had on before.
First of all, did you back up your iPod before you restored it? If you did, then when you restored it, you either set it up from the wrong backup or you set it up as a new iPod, but didn't go through all the steps, so it displays it as another device. Re-restore it from the backup you had before (assuming you made one)

How do I insure that Time Machine will give me back all my stuff after I clear my Macbook
Unfotunately i bought a macbook pro from Best Buy and insured it with GeekSquad. Ive had it for a while so there are normal tear and wear problems with the keyboard and battery and such so it looks like im going to have to send it into them for about 4-6 weeks. i have all my stuff backed up with time machine but is there anyway that all my stuff on my macbook is erased ill be able to get back the all of my software with my settings? If i were to have to reinstall OSX is there anyway i can use time machine to have, for example, my iTunes with all of my music and information like the times a song was played and such? Also I am using Leopard and there are other programs i have on here that would be difficult to get back, is there anyway i could get them back if i had to install Snow Leopard?
That is one of the features of Time Machine. You can either restore file by file; or at the end of a reinstallation of OS X you are given the opportunity to install data from other sources, such as another Mac or from a Time Machine backup.

i recently have ipad but before i sell it i made a back up of it and by an iphone when i put all the date on my iphone some files and software did not install is there anything i can do to recover the lost data? please help
I don't think you're on iOS 5, I think you're using iOS 6. That's the latest version.
Unless you've used iCloud to back up your documents, you won't be able to restore them. And for future reference, you don't have to uninstall Pages to update your iPad anymore. Sorry about this. -
hey good day. i recently made a back up on my phone. then i took some pictures and videos. i accidentally restored the phone. some pictures and videos including pictures from my third party application were all gone. can i still have those back?
No. If you restored the device to an older backup, then the device was brought back to that date and time, which was before those photos were taken. When you restored the device, it deleted everything off the phone and replaced it with the earlier information.

When I activate icloud on my iphone, is it safe to delete previously made computer back-up files ?
It is used for syncing/pushing data to your other devices, and for backing up. It does not add to the physical capacity of your device.
