If I make a new itunes account on my(now my 12 year old brother's) first generation ipod touch, will any data be deleted? I keep telling him that i don't think anything will be deleted and he keeps saying that he'll have to download everything again. Please answer. I've asked identical questions but received no answers.
It shouldn't be. You can use multiple Apple ID's one one device. But keep in mind that purchases made under one ID are permanently tied to that ID. So if you need to update an app that was purchased with a certain Apple ID, it will needed to be updated with those Apple ID credentials.

If I make a new iTunes account will I lose my app music etc from my old account
If I make a new iTunes account will I lose my app music etc from my old account
1. No.
2. Not as long as you're still syncing it with the same iTunes library. If you meant iTunes libraries and not iTunes Store accounts to begin with, you need to use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes.

If I was to get a new computer and transfer all my music from my itunes on my old computer to hard drive then to my new computer and itunes, could I make a new itunes account on my new computer and still be able to use my old songs?
I am getting a new computer and I know I can transfer my music on my old computer to my new one with a hard drive but me and brother currently share an account and I would like my own, once I get a new computer can I make a new account on my new itunes and still be able to keep my old music and be able to sync it and play it etc?? Anyone with information on this would be muchly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance! Oh and I currently have a windows but will be getting a mac book pro most likelyThe music sync is one one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
Have you failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer? -
If I make a new iTunes account with the same credit card number can I still have the same thing I bought from my other account?
Not without buying them from the new iTunes Store account.

I want to make a new iTunes account, but I don't want to loose all of my previous purchases from my old account. Could I create a new account from y iPhone? And with that new account, could I use the icloud from the old account to sync my previous purchases?
Purchases are forever tied to the ID used to purchase them. If you create a new iTunes account, you can still get your old purchases on your phone, but you'd have to sign out of the iTunes/App store with your new ID, then sign in with your old ID, then download them. Also, apps can only be updated using the ID used to originally obtain them. So, you'd have to sign out/sign in to update your apps that were obtained with the old ID.

I shared my itunes account with my daughter for many years while she had only an ipod. She now has her own iphone with her own itunes account. Is it possible to transfer the purchases she made on my account over to her new itunes account?
No. Purchase always remain with the account they were purchased with.

New Calendar and first generation iPod Touch
Since the "old" calendar will be de-activated next month, I will no longer be able to sync my first generation iPod Touch to the new calendar. I use the old calendar now on my intel iMacs, MacBook Pro, iPad 2 and my old iPod Touch. Everything works well, but there is no software download available to upgrade the older iPod Touch to sync with my newer stuff after May 5. Basically my iPod Touch becomes a music player; I need the calendar function and do not feel the justification of buying a new iPod Touch when I already have one that works well and cost a lot of money when I bought it three years ago. Why can't Apple just leave things as they are? We have the choice of which calendar we want to use, and they are taking that option away with utter disregard for those of us who have already spent our $$$$ for an iPod Touch and still need to be able to use it. I urge Apple to either offer a software upgrade or to just leave the old calendar turned on. Have a little respect for your customers.

I have a first generation ipod touch. I use a wireless router to get my internet connection. It is frozen on opening up a website and will not release. Even when I power down and restart it goes back to the same failed connection. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Ray.
- Try resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Safari and delete cookies, cach and history.
- Restore the iPod -

If I make a new iTunes account, can I transfer my music and apps to it?
Okay so about 2 years ago, I went to my friend's house so that she could put music on my iPod and ever since then I've had an iTunes account through them (using their apple id to have a playlist, get apps, etc.) but recently I had tried to get a new app and when I entered the password for their account, it said that it was an incorrect password. I tried the password multiple times to see if I maybe typed it wrong but still there was no luck so my guess is that they changed the password forgetting that I was using the account, too.
So basically I just made this iTunes account to ask this question and I'm onderin if I reconnect my iPod with this account will I be able to transfer my music? (If this helps, I have the iPod touch 4th generation)I'm not using their money like I don't have any of their songs or apps. Everything that I have I downloaded it myself. The apps are no problem if they can't be transferred because they're all free ones I just want to know if there's a way to sync the songs on my iPod that I physically downloaded myself to my new iTunes account.
