If you are asking about AppleCare and if that is transferable, the answer is apparently yes for new purchases at this time (not sure if this same policy was in place when your computer was originally purchased):
"With Transfer of Covered Equipment to New Owner. Subject to the restrictions set forth below, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your rights under the Plan to another party, provided that: (a) the transfer includes the original Proof of Purchase, the Plan's Confirmation and all of the Plan's packaging material, including printed materials and these Terms and Conditions; (b) you notify Apple of the transfer by sending, faxing or e-mailing notice of transfer to Apple Inc., ATTN: Agreement Administration, MS: 217AC, 2511 Laguna Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, U.S., fax number 916-405-3655 or [email protected], respectively; and (c) the party receiving the Plan accepts the Terms and Conditions of the Plan. When notifying Apple of the transfer of the Plan, you must provide the Plan Agreement Number, the serial number of the Covered Equipment being transferred and the name, address, telephone number and email address of the new owner."

  • I recently purchased an ipad 2 secondhand and it appears to still be covered under the warranty. Does the warranty extend to me as the new  owner?

I recently purchased an ipad 2 secondhand and it appears to still be covered under the warranty. Does the warranty extend to me as the new owner. The previous owner has not notified Apple that I am the new owner and has now moved away so no contact possible

Warranty is with the device, not the user.

Your Verizon phone will not work on AT&T. If it's under warranty, take it to your nearest Apple Store for warranty service.

The warranty doesn't cover that. Sell it and put the money towards a new device.

  • I have an iphone 5c, it is still under warranty and it broke the glass. I'm from Brazil but I bought it in the USA! I wonder if there is any cost to replace the glass, and if you have how much to change in any apple store in miami?

I bought a iphone 5c in usa but live in Brazil. It is still under warranty and the glass broke. Here in Brazil nowhere exchange just the glass, because this model is different from what came to Brazil. I am very sad, and I wonder if Apple changes the glass at no charge, or if you have any additional cost?

my friend is going to USA, if I say she can change at any store? so now they are exchanging just the glass for $ 79 U.S. dollars? I would not be possible to speak with some seller to know the right value? would love to know the value before it pays not know whether to send it

    Hello HaithamOkeely,
We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

  • How do i know if my phone is still under warranty?

How do i tell if my phone is still under warranty?
It wont charge.  Tried 3 cords, only says its charging when you hook it to an 120v outlet but as soon as u unplug it goes black again.  Does nothing when hooked to a computer.

How can I tell if my iPhone is in-warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPhone begins on the date that the iPhone is originally purchased and covers the iPhone for one year from that date. To determine your warranty coverage, find your iPhone serial number and enter it in Apple's Check Your Service and Support Coverage tool. Apple may need to examine your proof-of-purchase document to verify your iPhone's warranty status.
Note: The service coverage information described at the Apple Support site is based on the date-of-purchase information available to Apple, depending on when or whether you registered your product or if you purchased it from an Apple Authorized Reseller. If you believe that the information is inaccurate, please update it by using the Apple Product Registration tool (may not be available in all languages).

  • Defective iPhone 5/ How do I know if my iphone is still under warranty?

Basically, just a few days ago I started experiencing a problem with my Sleep/Wake button and I noticed that it only works when pressed on the far left side. If I were to go to the Apple Store to try and it replaced, how can I tell if my iPhone is still under warranty and if they will replace it before driving all the way over to the Apple Store? (which is about 2 hours away from me.)

So basically I have warranty (can get my iPhone replaced) until this date?

  • How do I know if my iPod Touch is still under warranty?

I recently cracked my iPod Touch's screen and I need to know if it is still under warranty, as I bought it from Wal-Mart. It's a very minor crack, and the iPod still works perfectly, but any assistance will be taken with gratitude.

Cracked screens are not covered. You will need to pay to have that fixed.

  • Screen is broken...still under warranty?

my screen cracked and i asked the tech guys about it. they said that they can repair it free of charge. so i click on the link they give me and it says i have to purchase their service. how to i get them to repair it for free? and it is still under warranty.

look i know that there was some ipods that were
having lcd issues and the screen was cracking inside
instead of externally. that WAS covered by the
warranty, or have u not read previous posts where it
was covered. don't get all snotty with me in ur
replies either. u Don't know everything
That was a very very very small fraction of iPod nanos. I do not believe that iPods are still experiencing that.
    From this article...
Our figures show this issue has affected less than 1/10 of 1 per cent of the total iPod nano units that we've shipped (as of that point--many months ago). I doubt that newer iPod nanos are having the same issue.

  • How much is a replacement phone if phone is still under warranty?

how much is a replacement phone if phone is still under warranty?

It is free if there is a manufacturing defect and you are still within your 1 year limited warranty.
If it is accidental or liquid damage then you may be looking at a fee to get a replacement.
If you have AppleCare+ then you can use one of your 2 incidents and get a service of $49 plus applicable tax.
If you do not have AppleCare+ you would get a replacement as an Out of Warranty Service due to accidental damage. Now based on your country/region you could either get a replacement through postage or at an Apple Retail Store. Follow the link below for a pricing:
    http://www.apple.com/support/service/
    - select iphone
    - select your country
    - select warranty and service pricing
Choose the last option and it will give you a price based on your country and iPhone. Remember the cost shown includes a postage fee so look below the prices and how much the postage fee is as this would not be included in the cost if the replacement was done at a store.
    Hope this helps

  • My PC is still under warranty

I'm sick of this bull crap. My PC is still under warranty. You have all my info so send me a box and you'll get this hunk of **bleep** back! I'll never buy another HP. Your support sucks. Even if you get someone you can't understand a frigging word they say.. It's a pain in the ass when the damp thing locks or freezes or crashes 15 times in an hour.

    Hi crapPC,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your PC. If it's still under warranty and having hardware issues, you should be able to return it. If you are having software issues, you could run a System Recovery to put the software back to how it was when it was first turned on. This should remove any software issues that may have come up since it first was used. Before running a recovery, make sure to back up all your personal files.
Here is an HP Support document on how to run a system recovery in Windows 8:
