my dad had purchased an i phone 5 from someone who was selling who had gotten it from soneone else it i have gotten it unlocked and it has been unlocked it is not reported stolen or anything i used and online imei checker and it says the warenty exprires jan 15 2014 i just want to know if i can use that warenty even though i do not know the apple id it is regersterd on or anything ? also what is the canadian number i can call to get this info if you dont know the =answer

The warranty follows the device, not the owner. If you have the device, if there is a warranty issue with the device, you can get it replaced. If you got it officially unlocked by the carrier it was locked to, then you have nothing to worry about it locking back if you do a restore. You may, however run in to activation problems if the device has iOS 7 on it. You will need the Apple ID and password for the person that originally activated the phone, and it sounds as if it has changed hands several times. If you cannot find that original Apple ID and password, then the phone will not be able to activate and no one will be able to help you with that, including Apple.

iPhone warranty is only valid in the country of origin.
You could try taking it to an Apple store and see what they offer.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Doesn't sound like your restored from your backup, otherwise pics in your camera roll would've transfer over.

If you have encountered activation lock, your iPad will be useless unless you can contact the prior owner. They have to give you the ID and password, or erase it and remove it from their account as explained in the article you were reading. No one else can help you with this and there is no way around it.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. If you use a new ID, you have to buy again.

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

When I get a new TV show, it adds but deletes the old ones. Can you help?

I added an episode of The Office, and the next day I added another one. The first one had gone to my iPod, but was gone after I added the second show. It was still in my library but not in my iPod. I synced it a few times but it just deleted some more videos. I have them checked in iTunes to add to my iPod, but they don't. Well I've been trying to find a full installment of Windows 7 32/64 bit Ultimate/Home Edition/Professional but I can't find a disc. So basically I'm asking can I just download Windows 7 from the internet with the product key or do I HAVE TO get a disc and install it through Bootcamp?

I don't know if you can legally download a full Windows 7 installer, but if you can find one, you just need to copy the image to a flash drive. See:

It is down to Symantec to correct their mistake with their add-ons. They originally updated their add-ons after quite a delay to work with Firefox 4.0 as shown here - http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-4-compatibility-hotfix-is-now-available/td-p/428894
They made an error with the update in only listing it as compatible with Firefox 4.0, so they will not install on Firefox 4.0.1 and subsequent Firefox security updates. Check if you have purchased the application?

I was just wondering, because I have been looking online for about an hour, if there was any way to check and see if you have purchased an app that is now on the app store that costs money.
I know that I have gotten some that are free that are now worth money, but some of them aren't on my comp because I have deleted them for space.
If anyone knows, it would be much appreciated.

if you try to write a review it will tell you that you can't do so for applications you never bought but will open the review form for applications you did buy (even if you no longer have them installed). If you don't want to actually write a review you can simply hit "Cancel" on the review form.

I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 for my daughter exactly one year ago this week from the AT&T store, and I have it covered under mobility insurance. Within the first month of having it, you could not hear her on phone calls. We called AT&T, were told to send it in and we received another. Ten months later, this second phone would not keep a charge. I called AT& T again, and was told to send it in. I was never told this was the “warranty” department, not the “insurance” department. I have never been told there is a difference. I received a third phone two weeks ago. This past Saturday, I received her old phone back in the mail, with a note that it is “damaged”, although there is no damage to the phone that the blind eye can see, and that they are charging me $469 for the third phone. This is on top of the $500 I paid for the new phone last year. I called AT&T to find out why I was being charged for the phone, because first of all there is no damage that I can see, and second of all, I have insurance. There was a red arrow sticker on the second phone pointing to the charging receptacle, but you would have to have a telescope to see in there! Apparently that is where the damage is. I explained that I cannot see any damage, but regardless, the insurance should cover it (which is $199 for the deductible). I was told that you have to “make a choice” before you call warranty, because if it is damaged in any way, you have to pay the full price for the phone, as they do not call the insurance department, which is a separate department. This is insane!! I asked how in the world was I to determine that something inside the phone was wrong that is not covered under warranty? How was I to know that you have to make a choice, either hope that it is covered under warranty and get a replacement or pay $469, or call insurance and get stuck with $199 bill when it could be covered for free under warranty? I again was told that if you choose warranty, then you cannot come back and choose insurance, and that I am just stuck with the $469 bill, even though they “understand” that I could not see any damage. This is completely wrong and unethical. I will not be keeping AT&T as my cellphone network provider.
