The only thing that has seemed to have become problematic, is that after I followed the instructions and successfully imported my favorites from IE9 into FF 5.0, the bookmark symbol, formally located on the right upper hand corner of the FF page next to the "home" button has disappeared and I do not know how to make it return, so that I can easily access my bookmarks. Any ideas on how to get that icon to return? Thank you again for your assistance, as I am brand-spanking new user of MFF. When Imopen Fire Fox, I get google and Fire Fox's page. I have tried all fixes, no luck

When I open Fire fox I get 2 tabs. One is Google my Homepage and the other is Fire fox's page. I have tried all fixes under help and suggestions with no luck?
Also I want a new page to open in a Tab. I set it to and it defaults back to new window. Also tried all fixes? I have been using Fire fox since day1, I know it pretty well, never had a problem.

Internet Exployer Running in Stealth Mode

I seldom or never use Internet Exployer, however it loads itself and is running in the background. I tried uninstalling it and it is like the monster who will not die. Even in task manager I could not close it. There were 4 running once today. The last check was 2 and one was ads running. It started when we updated to the 10G plan and since then we are going over 7 to 8.
When I went to my local store with this problem they were aware that my high useage was Internet Exployer. They told me to shut m mifi off every time I was not using the net, because In Ex was running even if my pc was off. Any ideas? Has it happened to you too?
Cannot Verizon do something? Maybe they don't care because they get paid more, a lot more when this happens.

A few points:
You're talking to users of Verizon's residential services here. It seems like you're concerned about data usage on a wireless plan using a WiFi hot spot. If you want to talk to users of Verizon's wireless services, visit their forums at http://www.verizonwireless.com/
Verizon (wired or wireless) doesn't support computers. If you have issues with your computer, you can ask other uses in any of a number of forums, use Google to see if you can find similar issues and solutions or pay for support from any of a number of companies.
Finally, IE doesn't just eat cycles and download stuff in the background. If you don't use it, it does nothing. If you are detecting unexpected IE usage, chances are pretty good that your computer has a virus or malware. Get a good Anti-Virus program and use it, always. Microsoft Security Essentials is an excellent, free option.

Was always working and today I get a message that it can not connect to the internet. Internet Exployer works fine. So, I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalled. Still did not work. check out the proxy and firewall no problems there.

I can't find my favorites from internet exployer after i switched to firefox.

I converted everything from internet exployer to firefox and imported everything, I thought. But my Favorites from internet exployer are not under bookmarks in firefox. How do I find them.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you can't find the new tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.

Thing is: ANY program that uses Flash CANNOT be open while you install Flash Player. It's like trying to change your oil while driving down the highway.
Worst case scenario:
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking the following links by right clicking and selecting "Save target as".

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save them - DO NOT run them.
Reboot, and BEFORE you open anything at all, run the installer(s).

Are you seeing any error message or notification ? If so what ?
If the page fails to load try clearing Reloading with the Ctrl F5 shortcut to force loading without the old new cached files. If that does not help try cache and clearing cookies for that site.

When I try to connect to Firefox,I get the message can not find server.(All my hardwired computers,to Dsl).When we try Windows Internet Exployer it works fine.That is what I am using to send this message.

When you say it works okay on new browser do you mean IE or do you mean if you reinstall Firefox. As far as I know it is the Firefox updates that get are mostly affected. What Firewall do you have.
