ILife '06 licence problem

I have just ordered an iBook through a "Home Computer Scheme" at work, when it turns up it will have iLife '06 installed, is there anyway I can upgrade it to "Family Pack" once I have received it so I can then install it on my G5 which has '05, or do I have to purchase another licence ?, I only bought '05 2 months ago.
Chris

You're out of luck, the copy that comes with the iBook can only be installed on an iBook. Apple doesn't have a plan where you can "upgrade" to the family plan. There are illegal ways of installing it on other computers, but I won't go into that here.

  • SAP PA - Licence problem? Automated Analysis Buttons grayed out

    Hi guys,
i recently installed SAP Predictive Analytics 2.0 and used it two weeks ago. Now i tried to continue my work with it and launched the application. The buttons for analysis are grayed out now, for instance, i can't click on "create a classification model":
I tought it have to be a licence problem and launched the expert mode, had 10 days left and added a new key (now: 60 days). I didn't solved my problem so i changed the keycode in cfg file (C:\Program Files\SAP Predictive Analytics\Desktop 2.0). It didn't solved the problem either.
Anyone can help me with that problem?

    Hi again
    Thanks for the added information.
It seems the key code is not enabling the automated analytic features, at least per the way the product is behaving.
See http://scn.sap.com/thread/3578771 for a thread where the result in the product is the same.
    I recommend two things:
Please double check your key and potentially ask one again using the site here: Keys | SAP Support Portal. Please note there atre keys enabling (or not) different features. There is a slide detailing this here: http://scn.sap.com/community/predictive-analysis/blog/2015/03/20/predictive-analytics-20-what-is-new-asug-webcast
If this fails still, please log a support ticket.
    Best regards,
    Antoine

  • WCS Licence Problem

    Hello;
We have base licence for 100 AP on WCS. In our network we have 75 Cisco Aironet 1242AG series AP.
But WCS give a error like "Percent of AP Licenses Used: Violation".
When we look at the AP count, we see that there is a two record for each AP. One of them is 802.11a, the other is 802.11b/g but AP name is same for two record.
We dont use 802.11a, so we dont need it.
How could we solve this licence problem ?
    Thanks.

My WCS and WLC are set to GB United kingdom
Looks like you have set yours to Turkey
What type of APs have you got?
Mine are AIR-LAP1242AG-E-K9 which is correct for the UK (E)
Codes for AP part numbers are:
    • A=FCC
    • C=China
    • E=ETSI
    • I=Israel
    • J=TELEC (Japan)
    • K=Korea
    • N=North America (Excluding FCC)

  • Licence problems (6.2 after 7b)

    Hi,
I installed the 30 day eval copy of 7b today, but had serious problems and
decided to use 6.1 instead. So I uninstalled (using the uninstall script)
the 7b and installed 6.1. However, that refused to start with the message
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ License Exception $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Unable to start WebLogic Server !!
Missing license file for: WebLogic Server 6.1
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ License Exception $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Looking at this group I found a link for a licence extension and downloaded
that. But when I try to update the licence I get the following error:
    G:\bea>UpdateLicense license.bea.xml
bad document for elName=license-group doc=null ...returning null...
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at
    com.bea.installer.registry.LicenseMerger.merge(LicenseMerger.java:96)
    at
    com.bea.installer.registry.LicenseMerger.main(LicenseMerger.java:372)
My best guess is that 7b has changed registry settings and 6.1 is confused.
But I don't want to poke around in the registry without some guidance.
I am trying to evaluate a J2EE for product development. We already have
code running in the Sun J2EE (which didn't deploy correctly in 7.1...), but
need something for release. Please can someone help me get an evaluation
    release running? Thanks.

PS I downloaded the files using the password [email protected] - I am new at
this company and only got access to email this afternoon (this acct and that
    have the same passwd).
PPS No-one here has downloaded or used anything from BEA before, and this
machine is new, so there should be no other conflicts.

    Hi.
You can try getting a license from here:

  • N96 movie licence problem

    hi
I have a Nokia n96.todya i restore my device but after i did that my Transformers movie is locked. and when you want to play it the device said the viedo is locked.
and in the licence part of the device is the licence of the movie is invalid.(sorry my english is not very good)
now how can i fix this problem.

If you made a backup using N-series PC Suite or to memory card, then the restoration of that backup should restore the licence for the film. If not, then unfortunately you have lost it.

  • Can't re install CS4 and before it was a licence problem

I had a problem with my licence so i asked help to Adobe chat. A person told me to uninstall the Creative Suite 4. I did it and he gave me a direct download link on the web to re install the product.
(I don't have the CD's because they are in France and i'm living in Canada).
So now, i have no Adobe apps and when i'm trying to install the CS4, it's truly slow and it doesn't work. It's just saying "installation in preparation" that's all.
    Thank you for your help

  • ILife '06 Install problems on OS X 10.5.6

Recently I decided to format my internal HD. It had become sluggish, and hadn't been cleaned up in 2 years since I bought it (iMac 20" 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)
I chose to completely wipe out the drive (I have 6 external Firewire drives for file and back up so didn't care).
Finished doing all my updates after formating and reinstalling OS X. Re-Installed all my standard app's (Adobe, etc). Did the updates for all of them.
The only thing I was missing was iLife.
I have the original iLife '06 disc. So I pulled it out, pop it in, and go through the windows etc, until I have chosen my internal drive to install to. I then choose customize - I don't use Garage Band or iWeb, and just wanted to install iMovie and iDVD.
Under customize, Garageband is check-marked, as is iWeb, and their respective sub folders.
But iMovie, iDVD and iTunes are all grayed out, with no possibility to select them.
Does this mean Apple is preventing me from using installing iLife '06 to 10.5.6? I had it on the Macintosh before I re-formated, with no problems.
    Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Ahh Brie - Brother/sister, you are a life saviour. That 100% solved the issue. I had pretty much done a complete re-install, but yes, I did keep some of my library files, since I was lazy in terms of redoing bookmarks, calendars, mail etc. So I did keep many additional files. Sure enough, following your tip, it's installing fully as we speak.
Thanks ever so much. I didn't think I would get anyone giving me an answer, let alone one so quickly.
    Thanks again.

  • IPhoto 8 (iLife 09) to iPhoto 9 (iLife 11) Library Problems - Help!

    Hi all,
Yes, I know, this has been discussed to no end since iLife 11 was released, but I'm genuinely having issues and I could really do with some help.
I have been refusing to upgrade to iLife 11 until the problems have been solved and today I read that the issues are now resolved and I can confidently upgrade (however I was wrong).
I simply did the normal installation procedure, inserted iLife 11 disc, installed, upgraded with software update (twice), and tried running the new iPhoto. But I deeply regret it, as now iPhoto prompts me to upgrade my library on launch, but a few seconds after clicking upgrade, it says: 'iPhoto is unable to open this library'. I've scoured the net trying different things including permissions repair, etc but nothing has resolved it.
I noticed that my library file is 12GB which seems rather small as I had quite a lot in there, although I'm not sure how much it was originally as I never check the size.
Some major problems I have in attempting to fix this issue are, 1.This MacBook was purchased years ago second hand and didn't come with discs (so no previous version iLife discs), 2.I have not been able to use Time Machine to backup as my external drive had ran out of space over a year ago, and I simply have not had the spare cash and time to just shell out on another drive.
So if anyone can give me any advice and help here I would be greatly appreciated. I have a feeling I've lost all my photos from the past few years including all my family's digital photos, but trying to be optimistic.
    Thanks
    WaxMechaniK

Terence, you are a massive help! I thought I had to pay for that software, didn't realise the free version did what I need. Thank you very much!
Luckily, I didn't have any slideshows/books/calendars, BUT I noticed that it didn't seem to read all the photos. As far as I can see right now, it hasn't imported any of the photos imported after March 2010, is this normal? The photos imported after this date were actually in the Originals folder so I'm importing them back in that way. I might be best off going through them all to make sure everything is there which will take forever. I've kept a backup of the old library file just in case.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 Licencing Problem

Photoshop Elements 8 (s/n 1057-1463-2368-0256-2492-2362) has only ever been installed on 2 machines; one was my current laptop Computer which suffered a HD crash, but no problem, I still had a third licence left unused. In late December the same HD failed completely and was replaced by an SSD, now reloaded with Photoshop Elements 8, but I have no licences left. The 2nd and 3rd licences were used up on the same laptop computer I am still using, but there had been no opportunity to deactivate them before the HD unexpectedly crashed.  What must I do, please?

  • ILife '09 installation problems; run preflight script error

Hi, not sure where else to put this topic so I figured this would be the best place. The iLife section has forums for individual applications and not the entire thing.
I'd like to point out that I had iLife '08 installed and working but I uninstalled it before I proceeded with the '09 installation since I wanted to start clean. I also installed iWork '09 successfully.
When I try installing iLife '09 however, I get a an error stating "The following install setup failed: run preflight script for registration. contact the software manufacturer for assistance.". I have tried to repair disk permissions through Disk Utility and then reboot, but still get the same error. I have also tried using some of Onyx's "cleaning" utilities, but it doesn't help either.
I also get the same "run preflight script" error when I try installing the latest Quicktime update through Apple Software Update application.
Not sure any of these are related but I'm out of ideas. Is anyone else getting anything similar or know how to fix any of this?

Just a guess, but do you have a retail disk of iLife '09 or an upgrade that came as a supplement to your new Mac? If the latter, you should have the iLife '08 applications installed in their default locations (where they were located when you first started up the new Mac) because it is highly unlikely that an upgrade disk can upgrade what is not there.
If this is your problem, you may not have to reinstall the entire OS. Instead, first try looking for an "Install Bundled Software" app (or something with a similar name) on your new Mac's system disk 1. This may allow you to reinstall the original iLife apps without having to reinstall the OS. If so, the upgrade disk should work once they are back in place.

  • Validating software licence problem

When I open an application the validating software licence screen just keeps re-opening over and over again. It was working fine 2 days ago. Can't open premiere or any app. Deleted opm.db file and tried numerous other things but still wont open. Have a client sat here waiting to edit! How the hell is this professional software? • Licence problem - error message 147:1

I have had to rebuild a clients laptop which failed and re-install Acrobat. I have installed the original v7 and then an upgrade to v9 Pro which was used previously on the machine. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product etc".... Error Code 147:1 is shown...
I'm in England, the laptop is now in Switzerland, I'm going to struggle to get hold of the machine anytime soon.. can anyone advise what to do next ?

  • Licence problem-mi

I realize that their have been topics on this already, but they did not anser my questions. On about 80 percent of my tracks, it has randomly and without warning decided that I do not have a licence for this track. I am using rapsody to go, which is a lot like napster to go, but I do not wan't to re-sinc my library, because all the tracks in my library?all got lost a week ago. Is their a particular reason that it did this. I still have an acti've subscription to rapsody. Most

I had same problem and received reply from Creative to try updating the firmware (after backing up your contents on MediaPlayer0), changing the DRM folder name on your harddri've to drmbackup, or syncing the library (don't choose to overwrite the contents or you lose all your songs)-I got the last two suggestions from Rhapsody tech support. I am in process of syncing and I hope it works!

  • Nokia Music - Licence Problem

I recently reset my phone to factory settings and my downloaded music refused to play. It did attempt to acquire a licence online but the attempt failed.
I cant download the music on a pc and transfer to my device (N95) as I dont have access to a pc at moment.
I tried deleting the files and redownloading from the Music Vault but encountered the same problems.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Even i too have faced this problem before. This is because when you download music from Nokia store, the music files are DRM protected. So only that particular device (your nokia 5800) have the access to play that particular music file.
Only thing you can do is, Jus connect to GPRS or WiFi from your mobile and get licence from air.The other thing you can do is delete that music file and google it for the same music fil, download it and play it  Lol

  • ILife Support update problems

I tried to update iLife with the software update and got the following message:
"A networking error has occurred: Error NSURLErrorDomain -1005 (-1005). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again."
Any idea what this is and how I fix it?

Regarding log in items, I have just one, which is the application "SMART Reporter". Before I installed that, I didn't have any. However, one time when I installed "Earthlink Total Access" (never again!), it installed stuff all over including itself as a log in item. If you didn't put these log in items in yourself, they may have been installed in the process of installing software. But I think it's safe to eliminate these as log in items--all that should mean is that if you want something, you have to launch it manually instead of having it launch automatically at log in. Not knowing what your software is, I don't know what the items starting with "N" might be.
There are a couple of other things you could try. One is to go to Disk Utility and verify permissions and repair if necessary in case there's a permissions problem. The other thing would be to go to System Preferences>Network and make sure all the settings are right and that how you actually connect is at the top of the list. It may be worth getting Apple Tech Support back on the phone while you do this. Maybe there is some sort of glitch in your configuration that is causing problems.
    Good luck!
